Got past tutorial now stuck in house at library. Gone to level select but nothing seems clickable. Even tried redownloading. Sucks because it was a paid app

1 month update… they stopped responding the first week to me reaching out. i’m just struggling to get a refund at this point. so disappointed. really wanted to play this. can’t confidently even try giving money for another game of there’s. (played dead cells on game pass and that’s a good game).

Bug in the 1st minute of game play
I bought the game and start my first play through. Seemed like a good story set up and was off and rolling. I killed the first couple of enemies. Then the second enemy type showed up, so I used my shield. It’s a toggle mode thing. After I killed them, it locked into a you have to practice evade prompt. But I was in shield mode. I couldn’t progress, I couldn’t exit shield mode. This happened in the 1st minute of gameplay. Didn’t want to play any further. Deleted app and will request refund.

Controls are borderline unusable.
Unfortunately the controls for this are unusable without a controller. I didn’t buy this to play with a controller, the aim and attack in one button just doesn’t want to ever aim correctly for me. Wish iOS had a refund button like Steam as this game is unplayable on iOS for me.
Fun game, crashes
The art and story are interesting and gameplay is fun, but the app completely crashes and resets regularly between levels, at cutscenes, and before the bosses. And then the player is reset to the beginning of the dungeon in question. As a result the game has become unusable. iOS 18.3.1 on an iPad 5th gen ( purchased 2021).
Game is broken
This game is broken and won’t get past the loading save screen. I can’t even play it nor can I get a refund. This is a known issue that this developer refuses to fix but yet is still allowed to sell this broken garbage on the App Store. Don’t waste your money like I did.

Unplayable with controller
I bought this thinking it’d connect to my new controller, an 8BitDo Pro 2, since my Steel Stratus died. Unfortunately, there’s no support. Here’s hoping the developer will see this request and chime in. I’d be more than willing to revise my review once controller support for this device is provided.
Attack Aim
Bout an hour into this game. Very pretty and probably up my alley. However, doesn’t matter what direction you push the aim joystick, it auto defaults to left. This makes the game near unplayable. Please fix and will change review.

Virtual controls issue
I want to like this game, especially the iOS version. I do not understand, however, why normal attacks reset the character position. If I’m moving my character down (as an example), then stand still to attack, I should attack at that downward angle. Currently, if I move in any direction, then stop, then attack, the character switches orientation, faces left, and attacks. In ARPG combat, that’s just completely useless, and ultimately frustrating to the point of ending my game.
If this issue is fixed, then great! If not, this is an utter waste of money and honestly makes me angry.

Great game, crashes too much.
I played this on Xbox a while ago and so I decided to get it on my phone. For some reason it likes to crash during loading screens, between floors or after death, losing all progress. I see this is a common complaint among reviewers with no replies from the developers. Please fix this issue. Loading bar acts weird too, gets to the last 10% or so and likes to back up a couple of notches then load..or crash. Thanks.

The attack button is silly. The hero should simply attack in the direction he is facing. Having to also be hyper conscious of where your other thumb is placed for your attacks to land is annoying in the least and adds no advantage to simply attacking in the direction the hero is facing.

Looks cool but bad controls
Game looks great, storyline is cool, voice acting excellent.
Unfortunately the controls are extremely buggy and almost unplayably bad. Attack direction is unresponsive. The movement joystick randomly gets stuck. I’ve died so many times purely due to the horrible controls.
I really want to like this game but I just can’t with the controls in their current state.

Doesn’t save!
This port has real issues with saving progress. It repeatedly failed to save my progress after over an hour of play.
Fun Homage to ARPGs of Yore
This game pays tribute to some of the classics from SNES era while adding in plenty of unique elements to keep things fresh and interesting. Ever changing dungeons allow for never-ending gameplay, but the incentive to do so in story mode seems pretty low if any after clearing a stage. Family trials is a fun mode, but the difficulty curve after floor 6 or so is super steep if you didn’t roll the right talents and get good RNG with drops.
-1 for balance in Family Trials and lack of promised multiplayer functionality
Edit : -2 for the lack of a checkpoint system when the game crashes as much as it does. I’ve lost 6+ hours of gameplay in total and after it just crashing on a high level of the trials mode I think it’s time to delete altogether. Beat a boss? Game crash

This is probably the best mobile ARPG I’ve played in terms of story/writing, aesthetics, general gameplay, BUT the controls are so terrible 😭

The controls are jumpy and rigid. Aiming doesn’t feel fluid at all and I’m constantly trying to attack in one direction, only to have the character swing their sword the complete opposite way! I really hope they dig in at some point and improve the controls. This is a phenomenal game with just that one critical drawback.

Needs an update fixing controller bugs and optimizations

Select button does not work on controllers causing you to get stuck in the tutorial level.
No play testing
Trying to play with a controller, did this with a Xbox and backbone. Game will get stuck when asking to press the select button to go into the skill tree for the first time . Well no button on either controller.
Even is you use the dpad to get into the skill tree game still wants you to hit the select button. Literally no way around this and it’s sklkkko early in the game

Wanna love it
I like what I see, but I can’t get past the tutorial level. Playing with an Xbox one controller on an ipad pro, the tutorial tells me to press the start button to open the menu and spend an ability point, but that button doesn’t open the menu, one of the d-pad directions do. So the tutorial menu doesn’t disappear. I can’t seem to change any button layouts. I imagine they will fix these issues, after they do I will update my review after seeing more than 5min of the game.
Control for attack is off
I’ll change my review stars once the game editors fix the issue with the control for attacking with!?…the game looks great and I’m excited to play it but I want an update to fix the control for attacking…
Unplayable at its current state
The game is unplayable at this point because your character will only attack to one side only, no matter which side your character was facing prior to attacking. Please fix ASAP.
Fix controller support
I am not able to play this game with a backbone controller or ps5 controller because the menu button is not mapped and is not able to be mapped. Because of this I can't play this with a controller. There's really no excuse for this in 2024.
Getting a refund
The aesthetic and production are great, however the attack direction control is totally broken and extremely unsatisfying in gameplay. The low frame-rate of the game also is hard on the eyes, playing on an iPad Pro. This causes too much blur. Might give it a shot again if these get fixed.
