Fraud
Someone hacked my account and transferred my whole $738 check from my chime account to their cashapp. I took all the extra steps and precaution to prove to Chime it was not me and they still denied my dispute. Never gave my money said it was my fault. When I spoke to customer service they told me they used my virtual card.
Customer service sucks
If I could rate this app lower, I would. I’ve been going back and forth with customer service for two months. I’ve done everything I was supposed to and have a qualifying deposit but chime screwed it up on their half and is punishing me for it. Their customer service also lied and told me to call a certain day, so I did, but then I get shafted because I was “supposed to call earlier”. Are you serious? Their customer service people are terrible and their AI robot is even worse.

Hello I really love the app but it seems that I have a problem with the privacy settings. You are doing to much. Advertising all in my privacy and other things as well. Makes me not want to be apart of your business anymore.

Stay away from this app, there is better mobile banking out there. The customer service is a joke, your money IS NOT protected. Scammed out of money through chime and transferred 8 TIMES until I just decided to close the account with them. Stay away from it, use other sources for mobile banking.
Support
Their support team is horrible and all they do is just transfer you around, to a bunch of different people with none of them helping you at all with your problem. Just horrible and don’t know what they’re doing at all.
Chime is facilitating scams
Chime allows users to operate scams and claims that they cannot refund “Pay Anyone” transfers, despite the fact that the scammers have accounts with them. Please be aware that Chime customer Service also hangs up on you when you call to dispute those scam transactions
Stole my money
Had fraud happen to my account, I made a request for recovery it was declined. I called them to talk about it and they gave me the run around and hung up on me. Don’t use this card

I’m so damn Disappointed
I’ve been a customer for 13 years and I’m beyond disappointed with how this bank handled a fraud situation. After reporting a legitimate fraudulent charge, my account was suddenly closed with no real explanation. Being penalized for reporting valid fraud is a huge red flag.
I was told I’d have to wait up to 30 days to receive my own money by check. In the meantime, this caused serious issues - I had to pay to cash my payroll check, and multiple bills bounced because everything was linked to my account.
Customer service is incredibly frustrating. Representatives are difficult to understand, they rely on scripted responses, and they refuse to escalate calls or connect you with someone who can actually help.
A simple solution would have been to secure my account and open a new one. Instead, I was left without access to my funds.
Because of this experience, I’ve moved to a traditional bank. Waiting weeks to access your own money is unacceptable.

They are some get overs
Chime allow merchants to get over on you as a customer especially if they can’t get nothing out of it. The customer service man just told me that yes the merchant is trying to return my money but because the merchant won’t respond to chime dispute for basically getting my money back I can get mine either. I’m over it.

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT when something goes wrong. Issues with PAYMENTS, DEPOSITS, or REFUNDS? YOU will NOT get HELP. EVEN in cases involving SCAMS, they DO NOT STEP IN AND RESOLVE ANYTHING. You are left to deal with it completely on your own, which is unacceptable for a financial app.
Unending fraud
If you enjoy having scammers use your hard earned money instead of you then this is the app for you. They have issued me 5 new cards in the last year for the same fraudulent charge which keeps occurring. They are literally incompetent.
Overly Complicated - use something else
I tried to open a Chime account, did everything correctly and at the end of it all they hit me with a “We’re sorry! We cannot go through with your account, and for security reasons we cannot say why” or something similar. Absolutely no reason why it needs to be this difficult, I put my legal name, SSN, and address in perfectly fine and it didn’t accept it.

#1 choice for scammers
Pretty much what the title says app is full of folks using it to scam others and they won’t de anything to help you afterwards just let the person walk away. Off we go to file report with fbi cbi etc and do a charge back at my bank.

Been with chime for years and had the credit builder card. I’ve still got 400 on it but I cannot use it bcuz they did away with the credit card account completely now I’m out that money
They closed my account for on reason without warning.

Using App Out of Apple Store
This is completely absurd to have to come into the store every single day to check my balance or do my banking business. These banking apps should not have to stay in the store. It’s very frustrating and inconvenient!!!
