Too Many Scammers
I met four people on this all in less than two months. Three were scammers. Two used stolen photos. One of those two asked me for money. The other I caught in a lie. The third person used AI generated photos so I didn’t even bother talking to him. The fourth seemed like a real person and we arranged to meet but then he just quit talking. This app doesn’t do enough to try to weed out scammers. They could add facial recognition software which compares your face to you photo so at least you know the person setting up the account is the person in the profile photo. They should also require you to allow the app to access your phone’s location and require that location to be used when setting up a profile. These two things would go a long way to eliminating some of the scammers.
Terrible app and UX
This was a complete waste of $50! I lost matches I liked and then couldn’t ever get them back. I liked someone in my Recommended list and the also disappeared and I had no idea why. Couldn’t find an explanation in the help guide. Then when trying to figure out what one of the icons meant in Discover tried to exit out of it and it liked someone I’d never like and there was no way to undo that, so I had to just cancel my account after a few days even though I paid. I also didn’t like how you receive a limited list of recommendations and then have to wait 24 hours or more to see another batch. You can’t just search profiles at your own pace, rather you’re served up potential matches in small batches. Then you have to waste time just going through the Discover which is full of people you’d never want to match with based on what you’re looking for. All the people liking me were wait out of my location requirements, too. The logic and the UX just weren’t working for me, so I’m moving to another app.

Not sure it’s possible to match w/o paying
The actual app interface has greatly improved since the last time I used it. However, a large number of the profiles, appear to be abandoned, duplicates, or fake. Despite the dozen or so like I received, none of those profiles seem to have come across the discovery feed for me to view. I did send more likes on this app than any other, but again, I have no idea how many of those profiles have been abandoned, or if they’re even seeing my profile. Sure I could pay to see my likes, but not at $50/mo. That’s nearly 5 times the cost of a subscription to most streaming services.

Encountered a system error which resulted in my profile being blocked by the application and upon contacting customer support I was told that it was final even if it is a mishap on their part. Glad I didn’t spend $50 on a monthly membership when this is how they treat new user of their application. Didn’t even have a profile for 24 hours.

Update I’m in the last month of my six months. I finally am getting matches. However, I find out that the matches are coming from silver singles, not Christian mingle. Do not use this dating site. They are such a scam and if you’ve signed up for silver singles and Christian Mingle, you just wasted your money because they’re one of the same.

Bad App
Wants to track data from phone for no purpose other than to sell your data to firms. Look elsewhere for your dating. Much more respectful apps at it pertains to your privacy and your wallet.

Conservatives Beware
This app costed $50 for a month service. After activation I didn’t even have it for 12 hours I created a profile and liked some potential partners, I hadn’t even talked with anyone and they claimed I violated their terms and they deactivated my account. They took my money and did not provide me the service I paid for. I created a truthful profile hoping to not waste anyone’s time, nothing inappropriate, I mentioned I voted for Donald Trump knowing politics is a big issue these days allowing those who have issue pass by and allow me / them to better match with someone with their beliefs. I did not assume a Christian dating app would have an issue with Conservatives but everything I did was as anyone would do setting up a profile. I can only assume that this was the issue because they wouldn’t tell me the reason. I can’t believe this App has TDS. I suggest all Conservatives and Trump supporters try any other app besides this one, sad… SMH…
Worst built app on the planet - nothing but errors
Idk how this app can charge you so much for their services and the provide the absolute bottom barrel app that they have. 3/4 of the time it opens to “something went wrong” and you have to close and restart 3 or 4 times to get it to work. If you notice you have a like and view it the pop up alert for the like doesn’t show until hours after it’s been viewed. There’s many other issues it’s just a trash app. Spend your time and money elsewhere at least other apps work.
Waste of Money
This app claims it helps Christians connect but is very limited until you pay $40+ for the cheapest option. Once I paid that I can no longer browse potential matches. It just tells me to broaden my horizons. And out of all the accounts I liked there is no way to follow up with those people. So yall got my money preying on people trying to build a Christian relationship. You should feel ashamed for taking advantage of people this way. The app and website are absolutely useless. DO NOT USE THIS APP OR WEBSITE FOR DATING HELP!!!!!!!! Waste of money!!!!!!!
Can’t be conservative
I made an account. I checked previous reviews and wanted to test if saying you’re conservative would get you banned for myself. Got to swipe on 1 person and then the app crashed. I tried logging in again and got banned. It says “We blocked your account because of activity that may not align with our guidelines” all I did was swipe right and then swipe left as the second person wasn’t in my criteria I left. If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not get this app. I tried clicking “contact support” but they do not have a section for banned accounts.

Profile was blocked before even using the app. No violations other than perhaps choosing “Catholic” as a denomination? No response from customer service weeks later. It’s just another bloated company, producing the same sketchy apps under different names. How lovely

I made an account but I put conservative and no mission trips then it blocked my account so I went and tried to make another account with my business email but this time I put liberal lol and no mission trips but that time I was able to move forward and create the account so the problem is if your conservative they’ll block you from creating an account
99% Bot Scammers
Once was a good dating site in which you can genuinely find actual people. Now it’s an app in which 99% of users are bots or scammers from other countries. What’s worse is now that your inbox gets flooded with “Matchmaking Experts” to offer dating advice that isn’t applicable on the app, but more so in real life. This is how they justify paying for this app-to give you dating advice. You’d have better luck on your own in real world events. Keep your money.
premium no messaging
These guys are so slick and must just be laughing that they put up a straw website that has no messaging …and I have a paid subscription. I have the same experience as everyone else: smooth excuses, placing the blame on the user suggesting that our phones and computers are not functioning, an invitation to contact SUPPORT, to try updating the app, etc., …they have a laundry list of updates to the computers and all kinds of things they want you to try. Then they want screenshots I mean all they have to do is try this freaking software themselves! What kind of software writer doesn’t test their software ? These guys are sitting back collecting money for NOTHING and Apple is allowing it. I use my phone. I use my computer. They work for everything else except this app AND website!

Nothing that they promise in the operation of the app is available, yet they have the audacity to confidently accuse us …who have Paid … of not having the most current version or of having a cache that needs to be deleted! Brazen false excuses. The responses from SUPPORT has been simply form emails requesting all kinds of attempts at troubleshooting. It’s painfully obvious that they have no intention of lifting a finger to fix anything. Why should they?
…but there are other problems as well that are less serious that I see on different apps: phony profiles, scammers, multiple profiles of the same people with different names, probably the same people signing up to try again and a bunch from the COVID era …one big scam.

Blocked while creating account
I guess you need to be as sinless as Jesus to make an account. I literally entered this under the “spiritual practices I enjoy the most” section: “I enjoy prayer, Scripture, and intentional quiet time with God. My faith is something I actively live and wrestle with, not something I have perfected. I value church community, thoughtful conversation, and a faith that shapes how I love, forgive, and show up in everyday life.” And under the following question asking if I have been on any mission trips, I answered, “I have not.” And on the next question asking about religious affiliation, I selected “non denominational”, then I believe I selected “conservative” on one screen and on the very next screen I was told, “Access to your account has been blocked” with no other option but to contact support, which I did, which I’ve not heard any reply from. Stay away from this app and use Upward.

The recent changes made an already subpar app way worse! Following all the other “swipe” dating apps was a very disappointing change that just results in a lot of wasted time for the users. Plus, having filters actually work doesn’t seem like too much to ask from an app that barely opens and constantly says it requires an update.
LONG CONS AND SCAMS
For many years, I was vagrant/homeless and finally got on top and then I was severely disabled through many operations and was lonely and met a woman on this site… she befriended me came to visit and of course through our talks she learned about the medical malpractice lawsuit. She got close with me as I with her. promised to take care of me the rest of my life and we were intimate and married after a year. Five years later, she’s taking me for everything I literally died for.
Tried to make many distractions in between to give her a way out but I endured until the point she finally she had to admit by saying “I just changed”.
Put herself in school in the middle of this too and graduating with her masters… talk about obviously taking advantage of the sick! The Lord God, our father and our Lord Jesus Christ will make this right!

Do not recycle profiles. If I said no to someone, I’m not changing my mind because I have to swipe left for a third time.
Delete abandoned profiles. If someone hasn’t been on the app for over a month and they aren’t paying you, why would I want to see profiles of people that aren’t going to come back to the app?

Paid for a subscription but the filters were still not effective. Doesn’t matter what you choose the app shows you people who don’t fit your preferences. Today I tried logging in and was prompted to create a NEW profile! Where’s my existing profile?! Where’s my data? I don’t know but I’ve seen profiles of people I know who have told me that they haven’t been on the app for years. Find another faith based app.

Do you not actually care about religious beliefs?? I’m an Anglo-Catholic woman with specific beliefs. The app is ONLY matching me with “non-denominational” men who have the most lackluster religious values. They mainly seem to care about politics (trad wife) and NOT religion. Why is this app ignoring my beliefs and religious requirements in a match?? Every man I’ve been matched with has NOT shared my beliefs in the True Presence, in the ordination of female clergy, in the tenets of Anglo-Catholicism. What’s the point of a faith-based app if it can’t match me with people who actually share my faith beliefs?? I’ve heard the same from other religious women who’ve tried this app - that it just matches them with any dude it can. Clearly, they don’t care about women’s experiences NOR do they care about actual good matches for the men. Just milk the guys for cash and run!!!
Broken - DO NOT SUBSCRIBE
To put it simply: This app doesn’t not work. Either via the app itself or the website. AND A NEW SUBSCRIBER WILL NOT KNOW THIS UNTIL THEY PAY. Profiles of people who send “likes” are irretrievable. Yes, you read that correctly. You cannot connect with people! Which is why people use apps like this! Tech supports official response to me was “we know there is a problem but we don’t know when it will be fixed”. And tech support is a chat machine. If you subscribed through the Apple Store, ask for a full refund. This app in its current state is a waste of time, energy and money.

I can’t log in. For days I get a message “it’s not you, it’s us… try again” I paid for the premium subscription but can’t get into the app. Don’t get push notifications. I have to keep logging into the website from a browser and manually check my messages every 5 minutes

Major problems with this service, or maybe it’s just the app, I’m not sure. I keep getting push notifications that I have a new like, or a new match, but when I check the app, there’s nothing there. The way the service works, once someone ’likes’ someone, the profile disappears until that person has an opportunity to ‘like’ them back, so it’s not like they can ‘unlike’ that person and make that notification go away. They’re simply not there. In other cases, something that I SHOULD be getting a notification on, I’m not (yes, all notification settings are turned on). I’m also getting match suggestions for the same people I’ve turned down, time and time again, and if I live in one state, and I’ve selected a range of 200 miles, why is it giving me profiles almost 1000 miles away? For a dating site, it almost seems like it’s working against the goals it was created for lol. And I paid for this??? Lesson learned.

I’ve been on here for a whole week and have 6 likes , half of them are from other states. None of the people I have liked have responded, first I was reading all the profiles and picking who I thought would be a good match but after no responses i started picking people I thought might be a good match. No responses at all. I found several profiles that stated “I’m 39 years old” but on their profile heading they were 44. So the profile is at least 5 years old. Another had a note stating “ 1/2024 update, I’m about to get off this app. “ well is 9/2025. So I’m wasting my time reading profiles for people that have not been on the app in 2 years. I even messaged customer service and asked about this and was given a generic response. I don’t have time to look at profiles that are 2-6 years old. I went onto Facebook dating site and just uploaded my picture and put Christian and got 30 likes from Christian men in my area in 8 hours.

This used to be my favorite dating app. Until they changed it. Now it’s almost useless. I liked it when they had a thumbnail image of all my matches that I could scroll through. Why do they think they needed to join the crowd and give it a left or right swipe feel? Now I don’t even find anyone that’s interesting on here anymore.

This app is slow and gives old vibes. On top of the inefficiency of viewing profiles, you have to upgrade to really see anything like who likes you, who is near you, and more. I’d just suggest sticking to duet, hinge, or even tinder. Better than using an app claiming to want to better Christian relationships but trying to charge for the basics.

I joined Christian Mingle just a few weeks ago because of the maturity of the site. I liked that you could see the profile and send a smile. Since the upgrades it's not nearly as user friendly and even the look of the website has declined. You can't send a smile anymore now it's just swipe right or left😕 I feel this was a bait and switch.

You will pay $50 for the first month and not get any matches near you and won't get any responses to your messages. Total waste of money and time.
Blocked me for inconsistencies w/o notice
I had a free account for almost a month and five days into my paid subscription I’m blocked. They want your Drivers license and Passport to clear you! I’m not the only one they’ve asked this from, check Reddit . They had almost a month to catch any “inconsistencies” but didn’t block me until my trial period ends. They won’t tell you what the inconsistencies are or allow you to object so I DO NOT USE CHRISTIAN MINGLE . Seems deceptive and very sketchy to do that right away.
