Bad port of a great game
This is my favorite snes game, but the port has a bug every time you start the fight against Magus where the text always skips. What’s the point of playing an RPG if you can’t even read the story?

There is no audio. It is a game-specific problem. I tested several other apps, restarted, and made sure there were no other connected devices.
Ruined it
Really planned on giving this five stars, but the god awful touch controls made Lucca’s flashback sequence glitch out. There’s zero way to save her mom.

This is a port that available on windows steam but mac steam, and while it is available for IOS it is not supported to run by apple silicon laptops???????

Not worth it.
When you come from the Nintendo DS version and play this. It’s not even worth the buy. Missing cut scenes. Just buy the Nintendo DS version. Expensive but it’s the definitive version of Chrono Trigger.
Can’t turn off sound while listening to podcasts or watching video on same device
Like the title says you can’t turn off the sound. There are several threads going back years asking how to do this and there just isn’t a way. This is super annoying, I’ve beaten this game so many times, I just want to be able to watch a movie PIP on my iPad or listen to a podcast on my phone while I mindlessly keep plowing through the game.

It’s hideous. I can’t stand to look at it.
I love the game. I played it on the DS some years ago, but I thought it might be worth checking out to play here since I had the option of playing in Japanese. Unfortunately, that requires a system language change. More importantly though, the graphics are a disaster and there are no video settings. The sprites have been muddied, not in a nice CRT/scanline kind of way, but in a busted filter that nobody would ever use in an emulator kind of way. I can’t even look at it. I want my money back.

Somewhat improved, but some issues
They improved the overworld walking mechanic and make it so you can move diagonal rather than simply adjacent paths.
A big gripe i had with this game is they removed the FMVs that the PS1 Version had. This mobile version use to have it. But its now removed since the update? What gives?

A great game but painfully ugly filter
Square Enid is incapable of slim dunks. Port one of the best RPG’s to mobile? Sure. Oh but it has an awful ugly smear over everything and the UI and font is terrible.
Buggy
Once in a while, the enemies get a bug where they literally dont stop attacking. Its like they have 9999 speed compared to your 10 speed. Dalton for example dropped 80 iron half hp balls before i could even attack once. The nus doing that too is very annoying. 6 nus nonstopp hitting me to 0 life and then killing me with 1 hp dmg.
Only if your truly desperate to play
Ive played and seen other versions on this and i feel like it dosent do its snes precursor justice like they couldve at least made the graphics be switchable to pixel perfect and the font that they used for text and battle sprites is just horrible youd be better off playing it on steam or another version they say the DS version is the best of the best
Sound issues
I love the game but when I played it again there was no sound.When I deleted it and re-downloaded again all my levels were deleted and still no sound. I checked my phone and theres no issue on my end.
