Cloak removes some of your information, but not most. I've had cloak for almost a year, and I'm still finding my data in these online databases. In fact, I purchased my own information as an example. Cloak does not live up to its marketing claims.

I got this to delete information that could have been on the web never needed it for spam calls well after I let my subscription go I now receive a spam calls constantly even though my phone plan has it to block spam calls. Do. Not Recommend I feel like once you quit the subscription the flood your data to the web just to get you to come back and pay money

I tried this service just to kind of block. A few calls that I really didn’t want. I got a few very randomly calls, not too many. I used the service for about a few weeks. I guess maybe I saw a difference. But once I canceled their service. I’m telling you I had the most nonstop directly targeted spam calls I’ve ever seen in my life. They targeted me for canceling the service. And the numbers aren’t normal collection cause they come from area code that is the same as yours. It’s super annoying. It has not stopped since I canceled their service. This is definitely something you want to stay away
from. They’re trying to force me to reactivate their service.

The app is virtually impossible to navigate. It dictates what you want to see and where you want to go. And I actually pay for this garbage.

17 spam calls receive today so far. Some from the same spammers. And other days have. Even bad, at least 10. Product does t work as advertised. Can I get my money back?!?!?!

I used this service as intended, and I quickly found out the emails and phone numbers are pretty much rejected by every service I tried. As far as the deleteme stuff, there are cheaper and better services out there. I contacted support which was also a waste of time. One you get past all the AI bots, the live agents were no help. This service looked promising but was a huge let down
Latest Update - VPN No Longer Works
I’ve been using this app for a while. I was using it to remove my data from broker sites and create burner identities for websites I didn’t want tracking me. I also used the VPN feature.
I didn’t realize until today, but the VPN no longer works. I’ve done all the standard stuff - delete & reinstall, update my phone, reset my network settings. nope, nada. still no VPN. if I can’t figure it out, I’m moving to a different service.

Does not work as advertised. Paid and downloaded app. Still slammed with spam calls. Option to get a new number is offered however this is not helpful as my contacts have current number.
Subscription scam Alert
They kept charging me for multiple months even when I cancelled my subscription after 1st month on the App.
In app it shows subscription cancelled but I had recurring payments for many months. Which is a legit scam.

Not Good Support & Doesn’t Work
I rate this app a big F cause it doesn’t work. And you can’t ever get support on the phone! In my opinion this app & company should be closed down! Also this app should be removed from the Apple Store & every other App Store out there! Lousy support in every way

Seemed too good to be true, and I think it is. I’ve had this app running for months and I still get 3-4 spam calls a day.

I find it absolutely wild that my review was removed when I have a very real concern. Since paying for this service from this app I have received MORE spam calls than before. So much so I already have 8 spam calls since 9am this morning and it’s only 11:55am.
This app says it works however that is not the case for me.

Not recognizing subscription payment
Paid my subscription in app and it keeps asking me to subscribe

I purchased it when I thought it was a good idea but in my life right now it’s just way too complicated to use and I don’t want it and I just want a refund. I have called them on4:5&4:8 I’ve also emailed them on 46 nobody has contacted me. I’m very disappointed.

I downloaded the app and paid for the monthly service. I ran a few scans to delete my number from marketer lists, THEN IMMEDIATELY GOT BOMBARDED WITH SPAM CALLS. 21 SPAM CALLS WITHIN 12 HOURS OF DIING THR SCANS IN Cloaked. I think Cloaked is the biggest scammer of them all!!

I got more info when I called the phone number that they provide. Every time I open the app on my phone it just says loading and never actually opened. However I can login on the website and use it there. Of course it’s easier to grab my phone and open an app though. So it’s kind of frustrating that the app does not work.

The app was deleting data from my iPhone that was important to me. Try it, but be careful of your data.

Couldn’t get past the first part
I had initially tried to do this to see the pricing. I’ve attempted many times to get through the first portion of BS where it says whatever it needs to say to get someone to join. So I’ve deleted the app, closed it many times to get this to work with no luck. I’m done attempting this.

Had cloaked for a few months , did a scan said I had a lot of issues with calls and texts and would help deal with them. Got the subscription in hopes I’d see a difference in the call frequency, for a time it did work. But then some of the features I wanted to use didn’t work like the cloaked number , when I inquired about it I was just told to try a few different things and it would work, it never did . Then I noticed the spam calls increased instead and my business calls weren’t coming in , neither were my calls from Dr appt etc . Went ahead and just deleted the app.. disappointed with this ..

Terrible! What a waste of time. I signed up and paid 16 days ago and I’m getting just as many spam calls as before! Now there is no way to cancel my subscription, there is no help desk to contact just a lot of false promises. Now that the app has all my information I’m not sure this company is selling it to scammers!
Waste of money. Been using them for over a year.
In the year that I’ve been using cloaked the scam calls have not become less. And to top it off, I was sim hacked recently! Don’t waste your money!
Scam app lying about its features
Cloaked doesn’t offer a number of features shown in this App Store page, advertised on their website, mentioned in their knowledge base.

Just because they say they have gotten done with what they call data broker sites stating they get rid of your information it’s completely untrue. I had personal interaction with two of the data brokers credit.com was one of them who they said completed the work they have no power to have your name cleared in fact mail.com. Use the excuse that I did not prove my identity correctly so I emailed clogged and CLOAKED though I’ve been a member for several months claim that they could not find my account even when I snapshot my account. It took them two weeks to get back to me twice it took two weeks to get back to me don’t do it they lie on their reports. They are not doing what they say that they are doing. They are going through the motions however the data brokers have absolutely no reason to follow instructionthat they say they have the power to make them follow. It’s a scam and their Customer Service sucks.

Cloaked worked amazing for a couple weeks and now almost every call and text is “verified” when they are just like every other spam call - loans on loans on loans and solicitors.

I’ve reached out to them for the last four days. They said they’d have somebody contact me in 48 hours. I believe it’s a lie ever since I signed up with these guys I’ve had more harassment with identity, thieves, and credit card scams ever all I want is my phone number messaging back so when people call and leave me a message it comes to me and nobody will return my call. They keep saying within 48 hours I’ll be able to talk to a live person that isn’t true as well so I guess the international Better Business Bureau for air waves and go from there I don’t know what else to do nobody

I ended up getting more spam calls after signing up! Canceling the subscription is a nightmare! Account cancelled but still trying to charge me! AVOID!!!
Unusable
I got a new phone and tried to sign in to the cloaked app. It says I need to reset password. Follow the instructions and it takes me to zendesk. Log in to that and nothing but error messsges. Can’t reset password, can’t log in. Completely unusable.
When it allowed login on previous phone, shows tons of places for phone number leaks. Followed all advice, still getting slammed with 20-30 spam calls a day for IRS and loans I didn’t apply for.

But this app does not work. In fact I get more calls now from even more companies. My wife, who is obviously in my contacts, has even been randomly blocked. I believe this app is a total scam to get your info and sell it to more companies. I’m done with it and not sure what I can do about all these calls all day long. DO NOT USE
I downloaded the app and gave it permission to see my contacts, it has blocked everyone that has tried to call me. No calls will come in and cannot call out. Have cancelled my subscription and it still will not allow calls. FRUSTRATED!!

Signed up. Happy to have something to help remove records from the web. 30 days in NO RESULT. Customer service advised to wait - takes time. 3-months in still no results. Requested refund - advised to wait further. 6-months in still ZERO RESULTS. When customer service finally responded they obfuscated for two weeks then claimed they could only refund to the card I signed up with. That card was closed due to fraud as had happened previously (why I signed up in the first place). They claim they can only issue refund to the original card. Screwed. Be wary of their ability to actually perform as claimed, and ask for a refund sooner than I did.
