Nope
Used to be good until now they constantly hound you to pay. They even hide the X to get out of the ads in the corner and make it a similar color to the background. Super scammy.
Literally untenable without subscription
I have seen other people mention this issue to clue in other reviews, and their response is basically 'suck it the eff up.'
You literally cannot do ONE thing on this stupid app without a full page giant pop-up for clue plus. Everytime you open it, every time you log anything, giant ad. If it didn't take so long to transfer years of data to a new app, I would have deleted this thing long ago,

Too many ads for their premium service
Constant pop ups and ads asking me to upgrade. Can’t even open the app without having to click out of their own ad. Over it and done with this app.
Bad
Horrible
Cancelled free trial still got charged
Got a free trial a few months ago, cancelled after the first few days as the app wasn’t helpful for me. They charged me anyway
Unable to get a proper response from Clue
I am having issues getting an actual response from Clue in regard to a subscription. If Clue happens to see this review I would like to discuss my situation. I reached out through their website & social media and no response. I love Clue for 10+ years now and will continue to use it. It would be nice to have a better communication system and better cancelation forums.
paywall
u literally have to pay for everything on this app and the way it tracks sucks because it's so hard to edit how long my period lasts
Creepy and invasive
Just as the title says. Maybe good for people with OCD around their body but it asks for far too much personal info.
Has Gone Downhill
I started using Clue over a decade ago and quit tracking with it a couple years ago. I keep it on my phone because of all the data that they still have, but it makes me so sad to see how downhill it has gone. What once felt like an app that tried to empower its users now feels like its main purpose is to get their money. An app that used to center education and an easy to use experience is now impossible to use for even 10 seconds without encountering full-screen pop-ups asking you to subscribe. I might be willing to pay for the service if they weren’t so incessant about the experience for those who can’t or aren’t willing to pay being terrible (when it was quite the opposite in the past). The education they used to seemingly pride themselves on is now largely locked behind a paywall. Things I used to track that felt important to me (including breast pain as someone who had a scare at a young age) are now locked behind a paywall. Articles that were useful when I first started using the app as a young girl just starting to learn about her body are now locked. While I’m now an adult (who was considering using the app again as I begin trying to conceive and was quickly reminded why I stopped using it in the first place), it makes me feel a bit sad to think that the resource I once had in this app no longer exists for young people (or anyone of any age who maybe needs information that is more readily accessible without having to pay for it). Of course I understand most things have moved to a subscription model now, and of course things need money to continue running and developing, but it feels like every time I open this app they’ve locked something else behind a paywall, and there are somehow more ads asking me to pay for an app I’ve barely opened. What I notice is largely features that have existed for as long as I’ve been using the app continuing to be locked, rather than tons of new features (which feels more reasonable). But what bothers me the most is how much of the education is locked, that was once so helpful to me as a young person. It feels so against what the folks who designed this app once claimed they stood for, that it’s the reason I won’t even consider paying for it. It feels so disingenuous.
Not free
You get a one week free trial, after you enter all your personal info, of course.
Deleted during the month of June
Everything was fine until “pride month”
They threw out a message - “not just women” have cycles and gave a discount to their app. What a disgrace and dishonor to women who have periods. I’m leaving the app. On top of that-there are SEVERAL articles for the LBGT Community. What happened to honoring WOMEN? If you’re a trans man and use the app then great. Use the app. But you’re ultimately a woman. So the women articles will still apply to you. If I would have known this app was going to tailor heavily to trans men, I would have never downloaded it in the first place. What a freaking joke of an app. An app for women but yet has articles for ”men.”

Pride month propaganda
I’ve been using Clue for years and years. I don’t appreciate a pride month pop up from a supposed “women led business” using inclusive language to say Clue is for “everyone with a cycle”. Just say women! I’ll be finding a new app.
NOT FREE
Be transparent
Why are we trying to make Money off of periods
I absolutely hate the fact that in order to gain full control and capability of your period, you always have to pay something, do I not pay enough just for simply being a woman. Like seriously, why are normalizing this.
The constant ads
This app could be really great but the constant pop up offering the paid plan is so irritating.
Can’t use offline / too many adds
I left a review previously that if they don’t make the app available offline, then I will have to change apps. Unfortunately, they do not seem to care, and you can’t even open the app offline. This means if you are flying, in the backcountry, in a foreign country no wifi, you will not be able to see anything in the app. I would understand if certain features were unavailable or you couldn’t update offline, but you can’t open the app at all. Plus, the constant berating to pay for the app has gotten ridiculous. One more thing, they’ve deleted the info of when I had my IUD inserted more than 7 years ago… so now I have no idea when I need to remove it. I’ve had this app for more than ten years, and it makes me sad it doesn’t listen to the concerns of their users. It is too bad as I used to love this app.
LYING WITH PROMO
This app is not free nor is any of the period tracking apps even if it’s made by a woman it’s not free and y’all don’t even think about the fact that there are some people out here that don’t have four dollars every month to pay and just wanna track their cycle but hey, I guess it’s cool
Lost all my data
Years of tracking just gone. The audacity of asking for 40$ a year for an unreliable platform while they grab your health data
Annoyed
I wish there was an app that will do all the things WITHOUT having to subscribe.. I was hopeful about this app. But uninstalling it.. just want to be able to track without having to pay for “more” to actually use the app. Disappointed
So great
I’m 13 and completely new at this stuff but this app has helped me with my period and it gives me accurate information about how my body might be feeling during and after my period. Totally recommend
My period
My period is not yet in Buh you have tick it
They changed a lot
They bill you separately for every track, temperature, symptoms everything is on a different more expensive plan
Not what it used to be
I've used this app since I got my first period (so a long time) and in the beginning it was a great app and did what I needed it to do. But sometime in the past few years they started adding ads and locking certain features that didn't used to be locked. And now there's a prescription? What I'm most disappointed in is the ads I have to exit out of at least 2 to get to the apps main page every time I open the app which makes it very frustrating to use. And the ads are for the app itself ( which I'm already using) to pay for more premuim options.
Too many notifications
This app sends way too many notifications. Total overkill.
Frustrating
While it’s an okay app for period tracking, it’s nearly impossible to open this app without continuous popups. I despise when apps force our hand and this app is no different 👎
Şaka gibi
Acaba ergenlik çağında adet görmüş cocuklarda kullanabilirmi diye baktım 13 yaş kuralı varmış ne yazni insanlar 11,12 de adrt olamazmı bunu kontrol etmek isteyemezmi çok saçma bence
Cant log in or make account
I have a new phone and tried logging in my old account couldnt made a new account using google instead of email because i didnt get the email reset and still couldnt log in making a new account FQA doesnt help whats so ever 🥲
Scam
Literallly, so annoyed at this app. It is impossible to cancel. They don’t have real customer support and all payments are managed through a third party who also doesn’t have great customer support. God forbid you use your Apple ID or hide your email when making your account - you will literally struggle very, very much to cancel your account. Couldn’t NOT recommend it enough.
enough popups
yeah it’s great and all that you’re doing the bare minimum and not selling our data but the amount of shilling you guys do for your premium plan is making this app unusable. i get that you guys need to profit but nobody is going to buy your subscription if it’s shoved in your face the second you open the app. i just want to check to see when my period is like ffs
Nearly unusable with ads
I’ve had this app for almost 10 years and it’s absolutely horrible now not even kidding 3 ads every time you open the app or even if your screen locks while on the app - the three ads open again. Literally fed up
Going downhill
I’ve used Clue for years! It was a great app and it’s fairly accurate. This app has helped me understand myself, but it’s very disappointing to see I have to pay to see certain features now. It’s frustrating. I don’t want to pay monthly/yearly when certain features were free in the past. It’s greedy and sick that this company wants to capitalize off women.
Free version is almost unusable now
I’ve been using the free version of Clue as my tracker for more than 13 years. Compared to what I used to be able to access, Clue has made continuing to use the free version almost not worth it. I used to be able to access basic summaries of my data and typical lengths of my previous cycles which are no longer available because they’re now considered “analysis” which has turned into a paid only feature. I can’t select to let the app know I’m transitioning to perimenopause without paying. Anytime you open the app or shift screens within the app, there’s a pop-up prompting to switch to their paid version. I got 5 pop-up notifications within one session this morning. The only thing keeping me using the app is the fact I have 13+ years worth of data that I’d lose if I changed to something else. Maybe Clue could consider a free version with partner ads. I’d agree to watching one related partner ad per usage session rather than your 5+ annoying pop-ups about paying for a subscription if it meant I could continue to use the app and some of the previously free features in peace.
Used to be good
I understand introducing a subscription option, but I don’t feel that I should be bombarded with pop up ads every time I use the free version of the app. I have used this app for years but will be switching to another app.
Too many ads
The app is generally fine, albeit bloated with content I don’t want or need, but the subscription ads are really annoying and time-consuming to deal with. I would be happy to pay a one-time fee just to log my period without any additional features - just no more ads.
Terrible customer service and missing options
You’d think that an app that has a whole version for people trying to conceive, would have the option to track pregnancy loss. At least 10% of pregnancies end in miscarriage, yet there is no way to track a pregnancy on the app without messing up your cycle analytics completely. This is unacceptable, perpetuates the lack of discussion around pregnancy loss and the shame that comes from this lack of awareness. I messaged support about this over a week ago and did not hear back. I’m considering requesting refund and finding another app, but they all seem to be just as terrible.
Bad update
Used to work fine, but now it's been updated and it insists that my period was 6 days long even though it was 5. It even asks me if it was 6, I click no, it brings me to the calendar as if I can change it, but that's all false hopes because it won't let me get rid of the 6th day no matter what I do. Please fix this
Holy ads
I’ve had this app for years now. Needless to say, there’s been so many ads to either get their paid membership or general ones. I can’t even open the app to track my cycle anymore without a danm popup first thing. Very unpleased. Been using it for almost 7 years. Will be changing to another app soon.
Too many ads
Hate the ads upon opening
No offline access in premium
Paying this much for a tracking app, it would be nice if I could still see my calendar and previous tracked events while off line. Other than that I have been using this app long term and that is the only thing I’m upset about and which has made me consider switching.
I go offline for my peace of mind and having access to the app while I choose to do that would be a huge improvement so I can still track ongoing symptoms.

Annoying adds
I’ve had this app for many years and only in the last year or two have they had adds for their paid plans every time I open the app. I know by now that the app has a paid option and I’ve obviously gone long enough to know I don’t want to pay it. I wish there was an option to turn the adds off. If the app didn’t have so many years of my info on it, I’d switch to a new app immediately.
Stop with the Promos
It’s insane that this app promotes transparency and accessible info for women’s health and then hides it behind a paywall. STOP trying to sell me the paid version - I’ve used this app to track my cycle for over 10 years before a paid version even existed. If anything, I should receive a free membership considering my data helped pave the way to where the app is today.
Not free
Stop advertising this app as free when not free is 9.99 for the year
great idea! make it free!
I love the idea of Clue! And it is helpful to track my periods and be able to look ahead. However, I do think paywalling any of the information or features presented pretty much nullifies any positive intent behind it. I know it’s a way bigger issue than just one app, but paywalling an app like this is so infuriating.
Get a different tracker
Pros:
-You can track lots of different symptoms
-Pretty easy to use*
-Has lots of resources*
Cons:
-A majority of the stuff this app could provide is paywalled
*-There are pop ups EVERYWHERE. You can’t do anything without something about an unnecessarily expensive subscription popping up
*-Cannot use any of the resources, ones that would be majorly helpful, without paying for it
-80% of notifications are about “limited time offers” or such
-Pop ups within pop ups, close one and another opens
Overall: Going to get a new tracker app. I’ve had this one for years but it has just gotten to be far too annoying and unnecessarily paywalled. I understand having subscriptions for access to things, but to EVERYTHING? I ended up just googling a lot of the articles they had on there.

Garin Watch
I love the idea of this and wish I could use this app but it isn’t compatible with my Garmin watch… 😭
Incredibly aggravating experience unless you pay for it
The app itself works well enough, but you will get a full screen ad to upgrade to the paid version every 2 clicks you make. Many times, you close one ad to find another full screen ad behind it. Whoever thinks this is an effective sales strategy is delusional.
paywalled to the max
been using for 10+ years now, the app has reached the point where you can't enter a single point of data without being asked to pay for premium, if you email support about it, you will get an autoreply saying they know they have too many ads and they aren't planning to stop.
