Updates suck
Please switch features back to what they were! The new user experience sucks and is too limited.
Costar keeps changing platform w updates that don’t make sense impacting user experience and accuracy of information. For example now when you click on “friends” and then “updates” where you would typically see info on transits to composite with three tiers of useful information (power, flux, pressure), then you could forecast out two additional days - this was clean, user friendly, and informative but now after the updates it has a random compatibility meter (which should be under compatibility if you’re going to keep that feature) and then you can only see the current days transit information and readings. Since the updates have be felt very limited with what I can do and experience with this app. Disappointing.

My Entire P.O.S phone got blacklisted …for a purchase that went through , Because the Fabric of my pocket was playing toddler with the screen . Why go through with the Purchase when I had no money bruh ..
Never answered I have been emailing them for months
I absolutely loved Co Star because it was extremely so accurate and I’ve been using it for about. I would say 2 to 3 years and it really disappoints me that I have to come on my favorite app today and put a one star, but to be quite honest with you I’ve been extremely disappointed with the company itself.. I’ve been paying since last year of 2025 and even 2024 for pro star and it has never worked for me. I’ve reached out to them multiple times and honestly, I am so dumb. I don’t know why I would continue to pay for something. I just thought that maybe they would reimburse me and help me with the situation and they kept
sending AI generated messages saying that they’re really busy receiving a lot of emails. I have contacted Lea multiple times from costar support. she has failed to follow through with the multiple times that we have emailed and has started a new chain every time because I would always go back to the app and just submit another support ticket when Lea wouldn’t answer and then Leia would just say hi Jazzz send me screenshots. I’ve sent her screenshots multiple times. We have so many email threads. I’m beyond shocked that they really do not respond to their customers. Their whole app is glitching for me and it’s taking such a long time to get a hold of them so maybe a review will help them reach out to me because I’ve spent countless hours fixing.

The main feature that I would check has been removed in the update. Not much to bring me back daily or weekly as far as relevant updates anymore.

I’ve had this app for years and have loved it until the last 6 months, these latest updates have completely ruined the app. At first the for you page gave so much insight, they changed that and now you don’t get that. Now they took the extra daily insight with friends. I’m giving them one more update and if it’s not fixed I’m deleting the app.

Not Worth It
After recent app updates, anything that provides more than very superficial information has either been put behind a paywall or deleted entirely (daily updates??). Even paying for ProStar doesn’t provide enough features to justify paying between $50-$120 a year. It’s just not worth having anymore.
It use to be great
I paid $30 and received nothing even when I emailed I got nothing. Every time they update the app they make it worse. All the fun stuff that used to be there is gone.

What a waste of money!!!! I spent $5 on a compatibility report and they just gave me like 2 paragraphs of the same regurgitated BS they show on the daily. What a waste of money. I thought I'd be getting a detailed report that actually went into all of our signs!!!??? Not 3 sentences that are already shown on the basic compatibility chart. What BS I want my money back now.
Disgustingly cruel
The notifications they send are so horrible. Why would anyone need to be told to give up, or be prompted to antagonize themselves. The creators of this app are sick people. I could see them driving someone in a fragile state to suicide and I hope they get sued into oblivion. It’s pretty gross that apple promotes it. The aesthetic is cool, but the language they use trying to sound “edgy” is pathetic.
Constant UI changes are not good.
App keeps changing and not for the better. I read some replies saying they were testing but as a daily user and as an UX expert, this is not improving my user experience. The new features are not helpful and I want the features back that I subscribed to in my annual payment.

Lately I cannot see the longer version of my horoscope on the iPhone app. Yet i can see it on my iPad. Not all the time is my iPad around which is what has driven this review. Why are not both versions the same!?

These insights are so clearly written by ChatGPT or some ai service, which is so lazy on your part. I’m sure there are many people that would love to write these for you, or maybe just write it yourself.
AI & Activity Tracking, Not Astrology
The creator of this app is a fraud. A video circulated of her admitting they use AI, track users’ data, and listen in on conversations in order to curate daily readings. A friend and I tested this with talking about very specific topics that are unrelated to our lives and our birth charts. Just a couple days later, both of our daily readings were very similar to the topics we discussed. This app is a data-tracking, eavesdropping scam.

Whole app sucks now
Ive had and adored co star for years and have appreciated the personality of the app. It used to do a fantastic job of having chart breakdowns and the daily readings honestly got me through a lot of hard times. To have that taken away and only be available now via monthly membership absolutely ruins this whole experience and was instantly deleted. Not only am I turned off to the app but Im so disappointed in the developers for turning this into a money thing. Please bring back the only important feature on this app for those who cannot afford a membership.
Downhill trajectory
I’ve used co-star for over 6 years. In the last few years I noticed a complete lack of relevancy in my horoscopes, and in the last several months a specific interest in “romance” with my daily scopes that are so divorced from my reality that it’s become nearly offensive. And then I learned that co-star is run almost entirely off AI. It’s such a bummer to see this app, which my friends and my partner have used to connect with myself and others, become absolute slop. They have the audacity to ask for subscription fees when the horoscopes and advice offered are so lackluster that I feel like I waste my time even looking at the widget on my Home Screen. Such an incredible disappointment to see a once revolutionary horoscope app become a complete joke.
Has Devolved into AI Slop

DO NOT UPGRADE. WORTHLESS. NO EXTRAS INCLUDED IN PREMUM VERSION. I really enjoy costar and so I decided to upgrade and even got the annual subscription as it was 50% off. NOTHING IS INCLUDED. You get a mildly more in-depth daily horoscope. And that is it. Pro doesnt even let you use their little ai “void” model. AND YET. ALL THE EXTRAS ARE ADVERTISED AS AVAILABLE THRU PRO. MISLEADING MARKETING.

Co-Star was a really well thought out, lovely app that gave you detailed readings and real self reflection.
Today, it’s a real bummer fest. The readings provided are often irrelevant and often negative, for a bizarre reason. “Luck”, “change”, and “trouble” categories honestly make no sense.

They paywalled everything I used to like about the app. Now it’s useless unless you spend money. It feels empty and even more vague. Very sad.
Love and hate
I enjoyed this app until they completely reconstructed how it works. I even upgraded to the paid version, but I still don’t see the good stuff that it used to have. And there’s a place to look at saved horoscopes…but no way to save them. Wish I could get my money back (or wish I could save things).

Losing the You page was already a heavy hit given it was one of the only reasons to open the app itself (the daily horoscope is otherwise viewable in the daily notification banner),
but the last few months the horoscopes also repeated amongst friends more often, became less witty and more aggressive? In tone? Passive aggressive?
And my final straw before deleting it was reading what takes the current profile space being written in the exact format ai-bot accounts on Twitter all use to "talk". I will not accuse the app of no longer writing their horoscopes, but I will say that aggravating signature style was not a positive change from the previously more calm and therapeutic messages I used to enjoy reading, even if I was aware they were obviously somewhat or entirely "random" & pre-written, they once felt more human and fun!

Once great, now AI slop
Why is the app so negative now? I heard this app relies heavily on AI and not actual astrology now too. AI slop app I wish was deleted. If you have OCD and tend to fixate on things, do NOT download! It’s not worth the unnecessary anxiety, trust me.

I used to love this app! I been using it off and on for like 7 years but recently whoever is doing the writing is definitely going through something. Talking about very specific things “you don’t have to sleep with everyone.” Is sooo specific for a horoscope app and I laughed really hard but since that happened it’s so much more toxic little quotes that’s really brought down the vibe of my front screen widgets. Anyway used to be so fun and genuinely good reads on your horoscope but now it’s sad and sorrow all around. Please whoever is writing the horoscopes you need to be kinder to yourself or something.

The updates are just disrespectful to people that have been using the app for years, I preferred co-star because of its “you” page and the FREE “dive deeper” I get it, everything is business, but I would be glad to pay for something that is WORTH the while- this new version, unfortunately is not it.

Loved costar up until I got a week full of “readings” about relationships. What I felt was fun for awhile turned into something oddly specific that I couldn’t relate to at all. Deleting the app
Removed the in depth horoscope under “you”
All the fun of the app is gone. I used to like this app and then saw they removed my favorite part. The in depth reading under the “you” tab. The part that says trouble with …, gone. Now the daily reading is just short and everything else is under a paywall. I no longer recommend this app.
Ruined for Greed
A once amazing app with detailed feedback, now expects a monthly subscription for absolutely any information. Which is something I wouldn’t mind if that was to pay people. But a lot of the information now seems to be coming from AI? It’s less reliable, less deep, less detailed, and seems to be pushing more stress-based responses for some reason. It doesn’t seem accurate or reliable. I’ve been a longtime user of this app and had hope for them, but they’ve lost what made them so great in the first place out of obvious greed. It’s a huge disappointment. I’ll be deleting this app.
Changed for the worse
They recently got rid of the daily update feature under the “you” tab which was pretty much one of the only features that set this app apart and made it that much better. Super sad, probably won’t be using it much if at all.

In accurate information
Beautiful decide, but astrological accuracy needs improvement the upset Saturn was transiting my first house which was incorrect when I checked my chart using other astrology tools also when asking questions in the void the responses tend to be vague, negative, discouraging rather than insightful. I hope the developers improve both the calculation, accuracy, and the tone of the responses.
Not worth it anymore
It seems like every time I open costar I find that they hid something else behind a paywall or took it away completely. Please bring back the more detailed daily updates! Not much worth sticking around for on this app these days.
AI based and fear-mongering horoscopes
This app is largely powered by AI (in a negative way). The human perspective of an astrology reading is ENTIRELY lost when relying on this app to spit out garbage daily horoscopes and answers to your astrology questions. If you are happy with your romantic partnership(s), your friendships, your family, etc., and your horoscope goes something like “LEAVE EVERYONE BEHIND BECAUSE THEY ARE PRAYING ON YOUR DOWNFALL AND YOU DESERVE BETTER,” maybe the horoscope is just trash and not guidance from the stars. Go see CHANI for real horoscopes and personalized (to the rising sign) astrology-based guidance!!

I thought it would be informative however I felt bullied to an insane extent especially when I clicked on the questions. Would not recommend if you have any trouble with emotions at all or even have a bad day.
What Happened to this App?
This app used to be kind of quirky and sometimes spot on. Now it just feels like AI slop with way too many references to romantic relationships. Boring. I also read that the creator of this app knows nothing about astrology and uses active fear. Mongering tactics to get people to continue to tune in- which feels pretty accurate to the content it’s cranking out these days. Someday we will all understand that a romantic relationship does not make us whole and shouldn’t be the core of our daily worries.
Was great until….
I was really enjoying this app until I purchased a new iPhone 17. Not sure what happened, but before getting the new phone I had purchased a friend profile. After I switched phones I noticed i didn’t have access to that any longer, a few days later, I have noticed that now it is using my friend’s profile for me….saying I have a Scorpio sun, when in fact, I have a Gemini sun. So now each time I read the daily forecast, i am reading for my friend, rather than myself. I reached out once by email when I noticed the friend’s profile not available, haven’t heard back.
