Predatory subscription process
I accidentally signed up for a yearly subscription because the pricing wasn’t clearly presented. I genuinely thought I was selecting a monthly plan. After realizing the mistake when I was charged over $100, I reached out to request a refund but my request was denied, twice. This was frustrating, especially since it felt like an easy misunderstanding that could happen to anyone. Clearer labeling between monthly and annual plans would go a long way in preventing situations like this. At the very least, there should be a short grace period for cancellations or refunds right after purchase. $100 is a lot of money for some people. Shame on you.
Alternatives are better
This app is not fleshed out. Alternatives do a much better job of transcribing and summarizing. It’s also way too expensive, especially for a not polished product. You won’t get a refund either.
The AI seems to have a hard time distinguishing between speakers a lot. Even when one is a man and one is a woman so clearly different voices.

Unnecessary charge
They charged me $130 for the yearly subscription when I only signed up for a free trial. This is genuinely a freaking scam because why didn’t they notify me when it was ending. It’s a money grab and the refund policy is so ridiculous like bruh. Having to write a whole damn essay for a refund and they don’t give me anything back. I want my money back now

For the amount of money that I spent for this app it’s very frustrating especially when you need those notes!!

It screws up recording and the playback gets messed up regularly too. Not a good purchase.
Inconsistent
Not good for nursing students I guess. The AI generator will test me on questions that are irrelevant to the lecture. For example, if my professor tells me to revert to a certain page to review important information, the app will give me a quiz question on which page I need to find that information on. It’s very inconsistent and just recently hasn’t been letting me login. Too many issues with this app, there are much better ai apps out there.
App is great but Support is AWFUL
I used Coconote for about a year. Overall it was good. Not amazing, but good enough that I kept using it and let the subscription renew. When it renewed, I was charged $129.99 and immediately after that the app logged me out. Since then I have not been able to log back in at all. All of my notes from the past year are gone. There is no customer support email or phone number. The only option is to leave a note inside the app, which I did many times over a two month period. I never got a single response.Now I am four months into a paid subscription that I cannot use. I have lost a full year of notes and received zero help. At this point I just want my money back and I will be switching to another app. This is completely unacceptable for a paid product, especially at this price.
Language Problem
Keeps translating my lectures to Armenian for no reason. I’m an American college student who only speaks english.

I was offered a free trial, and when I took it I was fully charged $77. I have tried contacting the developer but Im only able to chat to an AI bot. There is no credible email I can find and I currently cannot afford to lose $77. This app is misleading and confusing. Very upset!!
Missing features
I used to LOVE this app! Now they’ve taken away a few games. But the feature I used MOST was Professor Profane’s Podcast! I was devastated the other day when I couldn’t choose him!

I tried recording my lecture and after I was al finished it said it was an error and got rid of the entire lecture

Lost 2 hour lecture recording
I loved Coconote as I am currently in nursing school and this so helpful for lecture recordings, but yesterday I lost a 2 hour recording of a lecture that disappeared and I can’t get back. Be careful.
Terrible
There say ERROR, it doesn’t work today 🤦♀️ and I made my notes there 😭 everything was deleted

I was having an important meeting and I trusted that this app will record my notes. I kept on checking my phone and it was recording for a long time. However, when I opened my phone again to check, a portion of the discussion was only recorded. All the data was lost. They said there is nothing they can do.

Started experiencing many errors
The app worked perfectly in the past but now i have many mishaps where i lose my recordings. It's terrible when you're relying on its ability to record meetings.
Issue
There is a issue with recordings too easily being deleted. There should be a trash the retains for a few days. I’ve lost a lot of important content.
Not very good app
The translation of the app is good, but the opening and closing of it is really bad. I’ve had to delete and had many times.
Unreliable
When it works, which is most of the time, it works well. However, it glitches more times than it should and only saves a few seconds of a recording that was hours long. I can’t trust it because of this.
App Opening Issue
Have had the App for 6 months of a 1 yr. Subscription. App now only opens to a page to start a free trial and not my Account. Sent email to Developer a week ago with no response. Just sent another today and hopefully hear back soon.
Bug Keeps Corrupting File
I use this app to record my lectures in law school. Typically, I would record using the app, pause and save/upload when I’m home. It’s so awesome and really helps with note taking. It worked great the first year but lately, my recordings would get corrupted and there is no way to recover them at all. I’m about to cancel.
