It s now impossible to play this game!!! Every time an ad comes up, you re stuck on it… no way to get out of it and go back to codycross… tried playing a few times, got stuck and had to restart every time… to get stuck again… what s the point???

Im sorry but if there is multiple people complaining about the craziness of ads and how many there are and how they keep freezing, maybe just ACTUALLY remove the ads. I get how ads “keep the game free” but nobody is gonna want to play a game where they cant pass one level without +3 ads. The ads about this game dont make it any better sinfe theyre clickbaiting people into downloading it saying its “crosswords with no ads-ever” that doesnt seem like the case ..

Fool on ads
Pretty good game, although, after I paid the $.99 for an ad free month, the next month is now $6.99. That’s ridiculous. Or you can pay $24 for ad free forever. They tell you it’s only $.99 a month in the description. I’m not surprised because everything these days has all these gross fees attached. So I will no longer play. The greed is ridiculous and has been for far too long.
Love the game - hate the ads
I play this game every day. However the ads are people talking or a blank screen but when I try to hit the X, it opens up random web pages. Solitaire Cash, Temu, Candy Crush. I don’t like that these ads do this. If it continues, I will delete your game.

New update won’t let you get past some weird library screen. Goes straight there every time I open the game, can’t play at all.

Very good game-very bad ads
I’ve been playing for more than 1200 levels. Really enjoying the game play and variety however, many of the ads are verifiably scams and many ads ( notably tagged from Marriott ) cannot be closed without closing the game and restarting.
I finally deleted this app as most ads become inescapable even when I closed and reopened the game. Over 2000 plays and you drove me away. SOOO DISAPPOINTED !!!

Glitchy
Love the game but it freezes up when I complete a puzzle. If I manage to get to the next screen it tells me I need to be online. None of my other games has this issue.

Too much gibberish! Clingy! Can’t move on…forced into doing none sense! For years…only option left is to delete!
Bloated beyond belief
Sometimes I just want to pop in and do some puzzles. Half the time I don’t even get started because I am forced to click through some micro transaction encouraging addition that is unskippable and it is extremely frustrating. I wish I could just open the app and play the games and not be forced to click through 7-10 screens of things I will never use.
Last downgrade was a huge ripoff
This was a great game, but the monetizer thieves have struck again. The library took a HUGE downgrade. They now sell you “pages”, but they don’t deliver. Instead, you buy 11, and after the first few purchases, they just steal your tokens and deliver mostly the same pages you already have. Why is it that they can’t just be honest? I suggest you not get this game because they have shown their colors and will only continue to lie, cheat, and steal to get more money out of a ship they keep drilling holes into.
Shady Ads
It’s one thing to have to watch an ad and then click to get out of it, but when the arrow takes you out of it and straight to the App Store to demand you buy the stupid game? Too far.

I have played this for a very long time and I absolutely HATE the update. I think I am done. I don’t know how to complete pages like before. It is just annoying now.
Disappointed
I have been playing Cody Cross for years but am ready to delete it. The newest update is frustrating and makes the game annoying. I’ll give it a few more days but i will probably delete it and not recommend it any longer.
Greedy
The ads have gotten out of hand and the new book system has some of the worst mechanics that I don’t feel like I’m progressing. I can buy packs of pages and it’s all repeats more often than not. Such a waste!

I had this game downloaded for years and loved it. It was one of the few games not inundated with ads. I updated it and now there are ads on it. And it’s excessive. I’ll be deleting the app unfortunately.

I’m stopping my subscription
Only one new game per lmonth. I have used all the tokens to play the side games and to purchase more is expensive. You have to use tokens to play everything but the one monthly updated game. I already pay a pretty hefty monthly fee and don’t feel it’s worth it. I’m most likely going to cancel my subscription. I don’t know why this is advertised as free - it most definitely is not! It’s very ad heavy with the paid subscription.

Recently when a ad shows up you can’t close it out. You have to close the game and start over. Needs to be fixed
The mini game sucks
The minigame don’t allow you close it out after they give the free play. Very frustrating, I played Township and it doesn’t allow you to close it.
This app has gone downhill
I have had this app for years. I used to love doing the puzzles, and this was a good app for just that with minimal ads. Now, this app has a million other things on it, constant pop ups you can’t close, and too many ads. I just want to do my word puzzles but it’s getting unbearable. I get an ad every time i finish or exit a puzzle, it’s ridiculous. Now and then sure, but every time? And to get rid of ads it’s 99¢ a MONTH! I love the base game, wish I could go back 5 years and keep that version of the app

At first, I tolerates the numerous ads, which were mostly multiple ads in a row about that King Richard game. Every time I wanted to p,ay, I had several minutes of ads. Annoying and unnecessary. Not worth it. I’m deleting the app. You’re wasting my time.
Kiss this one goodbye
I have been playing this game for years but your latest upgrade ruined it. It takes me to a new library and there is no way to get past it. I tried deleting and reloading it but it does the same thing. Just as well I guess since I recently lost my 500 + day streak. Time to find something else to play.
