★★★★★ "Price. Makes no sense to pay for an annual subscription when you can go to the hardware store and just buy the calculator once. I admit that the phone version is definitely more convenient but it should just be a onetime purchase." - TylerC1994

Required Subscription
Can’t use unless you subscribe to their subscription
Why??
This use to be great, but now it’s a subscription? Umm nooo don’t buy this anymore if i could give zero i would
One time fee
This used to be a one time fee of 19.99. Now it’s a subscription of 4.99 a month or yearly fee. You really need to take down the other advertisements online that still show it as a one time fee. I had previously purchased the one time fee on my Samsung after switching to IOS I no longer have it. Definitely won’t be purchasing a monthly subscription. I’ll just carry my calculator. Definitely not worth a subscription fee!
No
They never mention how much they charge. They try to hide that information and trap you into a purchase. I would like to have the app, but am not going to get involved before knowing the cost.
Solo pago
No lo recomiendo coran muy caro
No longer goes down to 1/32 measurements
Used to be a great app now they lock you out and want you to sign up for a subscription. I paid for the pro version of this app years ago. Then they back stab you and expect a monthly subscription. I’ll just go buy the calculator in the store.
Subscription
I wouldn’t mind a one time payment but a subscription for a calculator is crazy
Price not worth it
This app costs $40 a year. You can buy this calculator for $40. My last calculator I bought lasted 5 yrs till I broke it. Waste of a yearly subscription
Will not pay a subscription
Not Paying for a subscription for something I can pay for once and have forever.
$5 a month
I’m not paying $5 a month for a calculator that’s free on Google
No upfront price info
You have to download the app to get the subscription pricing info. This should be readily available on the top front portion of the App Store page for this app.
Internet required for a calculator is a joke
I’ve had this app for years and used it at work until today it’s refusing to work because the app is offline. I’ve never needed to be online for any calculator until today.
Subscription? Seriously?
It’s a descent app and I’d buy it outright but… paying a subscription for a calculator app? Really? Why not just bill per calculation… lol What crock
Waste of money
I hate that I need to pay a subscription for an app I only use on occasion.
Too bad it’s subscription based
If it wasn’t for the subscription this would be the app I use. But I don’t do subscriptions so I switched to a competitor. If you like this just buy the calculator on amazon.
SAD AND DISAPPOINTING
Hate the subscription, Stay away from this app, just buy the actual calculator on Amazon or eBay !
Zero stars.
No free trial or free app would not let me use it. Couldnt get past upgrade fee screen.
Subscription REQUIRED…
You cannot use the calculator AT ALL until you pay for the subscription (or use the “free trial”). I’m out.
Update: thank you to Calculated Industries for reaching out and confirming that I cannot use the app without either purchasing it or agreeing to the 7-day free trial.

Dumb
As a poor individual in the trades. If you are going to make is pay for this calc just make it a one time purchase. Why does everything have to be monthly.
Subscription is crippling the app
The app was an excellent choice over the dedicated real calculator. After owning the app for over 6 years. Now the app is slowly being crippled with the company pushing subscription basis. I would recommend buy the calculator it’s no longer worth buying this app and paying yearly subscription. Stay away from updating the app if you can it’s slowly degrading its functionality to just a simple calculator. Best ratings were prior to the latest subscription ploy.
Too bad was such a great app for the trades.

One time purchase turned to subscription
This used to be a one time purchase. Now it’s subscription. Awesome calculator but predatory practices with these subscriptions. That’s a one star for me. Make more apps if you want more money. That’s just sad.
Subscription…. For a calculator? Unacceptable!
I left my construction calculator at the shop. I needed to use it at home. I thought to myself why not download the app version. I was saddened to see a calculator of all things has gone the way of the subscription model. I’d be fine with a one time purchase but to be forced to pay a recurring fee is unacceptable for a calculator. I will not download again until the subscription model is replaced with a one time fee or a free with ads model.
Subscription on a calculator
This app used to be a one time fee and now they make you pay a subscription fee. Why would I pay monthly or yearly for a calculator. Pretty dumb.
Waste of money
Math never changes, why offer a subscription?? Everything is a subscription these days, offer a pay once option so we can own the product and it would be a 5 star. Just bad business
Paid calculator
Installed and removed
No “Buy Now” price, only Rent
Why not having an option of Buying this in one payment, but only Subscriptions (rent)?
It’s what it is, going back to old fashion way.

Why Pay for a Subscription? Buy the Real Thing Instead!
I’m pretty disappointed with how many apps nowadays require a subscription. If it’s for app updates, that should already be included in the original purchase, as keeping the app functional with OS updates is a basic expectation. If you’re rolling out new features, simply charge for them as optional add-ons instead of forcing a subscription.
For anyone reading this, I own the physical calculator, and it has lasted me nine years-still looks and works like new. The best part? No subscriptions-just a one-time purchase. And guess what? It’s currently on sale on Amazon for $49.99, no gimmicks.
Just thought I’d share this since the developers here are more focused on squeezing money out of people with subscriptions. Shame on you.

Completely Unusable
Don’t even waste your time downloading - the app is completely unusable from the start because of a massive pop up that wants you to pay to use it. There is no way to close the pop up to just use the app free. Scummy and deceptive, absolute waste of time - immediately deleted and found a better, free version on the App Store.
Not Free
It would be nice to know up front this isn’t a free app with “in app” purchases. The deception makes me angry even if it is worth the price. No thanks.
Like others, let me use the free first
Let me use the free version first, and choose to upgrade to a paid solution later. I’m not activating a 7-day trial only to forget about it. Every leaseware developer cries that subscriptions are necessary to “bring new features, fix bugs, etc.” That was called upgrades in the past, and you chose to buy if you wanted to added features and bug fixes. Today’s rentware world is driving all consumers mad. Sorry, but if you sold it for a price, I’d shop and decide. But not through a “give me your payment plan and hope you forget to cancel” attitude.
ripoff
needs option to buy indefinitely i would pay the same price as the physical calculator but not monthly forever
Stop this Subscription Madness
Who in their right might doesn’t buy a calculator outright. Sell the App for a reasonable price and be done with the scam. Enough.
Dumb
Stupid to put the app in the free category just to need a payment or card info just to use it lol. The term free has just died huh.
Bought this years ago switched to iPhone no it wants me to pay again
Why won’t it switch over to the iPhone
EXTREMELY MISLEADING
Waste of time
Price
Makes no sense to pay for an annual subscription when you can go to the hardware store and just buy the calculator once. I admit that the phone version is definitely more convenient but it should just be a onetime purchase.
Oh well
Was going to use this but not for 5 dollars per month. Will just keep using Google or I’ll buy one at Lowe’s
Subscription
I have loved and depended on your calculators throughout my professional career, but I see you have moved to a SUBSCRIPTION! REALLY?
Thank God I’m now retired and no longer depend on CM products. This makes me glad I still have my real hardware CM calculator.

Monthly Cost?
Why would anyone pay monthly for a construction calculator? I wanted one on my phone for ease, but not at a monthly cost! You can buy a calculator and have it forever for the cost of 6 months of this. Ridiculous. Everyone trying to get rich
