Free subscription won’t let you cancel.
Wanted to try this app out. Before doing anything, they hit you with a paywall to use it, but offer a 3 day free trial. They say cancel anytime about 5-6 times as a selling point to just try out the trial. Don’t do it. You can click the cancel subscription button but it just takes you to a web link, with two options. First option won’t let you cancel unless there is a charge on the account. And the other option is to request a refund. So either way you have to get charged the ANNUAL cost for an app you want to try out for 3 days.
Unable to unsubscribe
This app is a scam it will not allow you to unsubscribe, buyers beware they will charge your Apple card and block you for unsubscribing, do no pay for the free trial you will not be able to unsubscribe.
Will charge you after canceling trial
This app offers a free 3 day trial and charges you after day 2 and will not give you a refund for the amount changed which is very expensive! Unacceptable. It stated it would send a reminder to cancel before it would end however that never occurred either. Now I am just out $108.

This app took $99.99 from my account and delivered an experience that is nowhere near worth that price. The features are average. The output is average. The value is average. The price is absolutely insane. What really pushed this from disappointing to infuriating was the complete lack of customer support once my money was gone. I requested a refund. Denied. I escalated. Denied. I spoke to higher level support. Still denied. No meaningful explanation. No effort to make things right. Just a very clear message that once they have your money, you’re on your own. A hundred dollars is not pocket change. For some of us, that’s groceries. That’s a utility bill. That’s gas. That’s survival money. Charging premium prices for a mediocre product is bad enough. Refusing to provide any reasonable resolution afterward is even worse. If you’re considering downloading this app, do yourself a favor and look literally anywhere else first. There are countless alternatives available that won’t leave you feeling like you just lit $99.99 on fire.

I was using this app for a few days and it was helpful. But now they are changing me even though I don’t have a subscription. And when I try to contact support about it the app won’t let me because it says I don’t have an active subscription. 🤔

Said it was free you download then try for 30 mins to sign up and actually get the app to work. Then it MAKES you answer a ton of questions you can not skip them. To get to a page that forces you to sign up for a paid service. What a waste of time deleted the app on the spot. Be ho edt with your customer and tell them up front you can not use your app unless they pay.

The app says you get a 3 day free trial and ends up charging you the full yearly price without the free trial. Beware don’t fall for the scam.

These people know what they are doing when offering a free trial, this service is not worth it, they take advantage of busy people signing up for this and forgetting to cancel free trial!

Did not meet my needs
I needed an app that could transcribe voice notes uploaded from another device. This doesn’t appear to be one of CraftNote’s strong points. It missed a lot of words. It also did not separate speakers or add time stamps. I also found it difficult to download the transcript in docx and pdf. The app seemed to get hung up and went to a white screen without downloading. I cancelled subscription within an hour of downloading.
Useless App
Horrible app, horrible design. continuously trying to sell you the upgraded pro version without giving you chance to explore the features, because you’re being constantly barraged by pop ups trying to to get your cc info. Attempt to upload a video for transcription was continuously interrupted by these popups, and when I was finally able to choose a video to upload, it never did. literally spent days at 13%. Tried wifi, data, a different wifi, everything. ended up transcribing everything by hand in the time I spent closing out pop-ups for their pro product and waiting for the video to “process.” Don’t waste your time with this useless money grabbing scam.

I did a 3 day trial, I didn’t like it and canceled and requested a refund and they won’t refund me. Horrible customer service and I will never buy from this company again!

Ridiculous. I recorded an entire meeting for it at the end to tell me I have to pay to see the summary. At the start it told me the free trial was free for 3 days.

WARNING - APPLE REFUSES TO REFUND
Do not bother with this app, or any other app for that matter - You’ll be charged $70, and Apple will not refund your money - It’s disgusting and should be illegal to take money from anyone who does not want your service or who can’t even use the service. I have to contest these charges through my credit card company now, APPLE is refusing to refund, even though when I saw the charge come through I immediately submitted a request for refund as I had no intention of using the app. I’m sure the app itself is fine, but to have a policy of just taking the money and telling someone who can’t use it - sorry we can’t refund you….. you’re not sorry - you’re $70 richer for a service you aren’t providing and that money you didn’t earn - that is what is called THEFT

I downloaded this app to take notes during an important doctors appointment so i could have the transcript and notes. i wanted a free app and this is the first that came up but i need pro to access the transcript and the note summary. i wish i had known before so i could access the note.

You can’t even look at a summary or even the basic transcript without paying 10 dollars a week. Do not download, this only wasted my time
Predatory Billing, Prevents Trial Cancellation
Don’t even do it. I had to go through the app store to cancel the trial before it charged me $100. When I tried to do so through the app it gave a “discount” pop up that froze the app and prevented you from submitting a cancellation request. Don’t give them a dime.
1.5 hours of notes disappeared
Downloaded to try. Bombarded with pop ups to subscribe for free managed to wiggle through to get back to Home Screen to not be forced to subscribe.

Doesn’t save the recording!
This app is not reliable. Didn’t save my recording of a very important meeting. I may have close the app before properly stopping. Apparently there are very important steps to be taken . The phone cannot lock etc. Should have used the Apple reliable voice recording and only use this app to save it. I hate this app
False advertising. Misleading. Not Free.
Would give 0 stars if possible. Advertised itself on google as a “free video transcriber” but you literally cannot use a single one of the apps features without paying money. Ridiculously expensive also.
Tricky and deceitful
The app says you can have a three day trial and then after it would be a dollar and some change a week for the subscription when I went and downloaded the app it asked me to pay the $66 for the app yearly after the free trial, but it did not give me the payment option to pay for the The weekly subscription. It looks like you have to buy the year subscription but then when I went to download it, the app tried to charge my card $17 with no explanation of what that charge was for. Shady at best and not worth the time and energy

This app may be fine, but I’ll never know. What seemed like it would be a simple exercise turned into 10 minutes of jumping through hoops just to get to the product we all came here looking for.
Needs improvement
I could not find the subscription price or terms until the app was downloaded. A 3 day trail is simply too short. The price is about $70 per year. I am looking to take notes for our volunteer fire an ambulance service that has monthly meeting that were last week. So three days trial doesn’t work.
