Unskippable ads
No way to remove ads and their ads are not skippable. This means it’s an instant uninstall for me. Garbage.

Can’t turn off ad sound
If you have any volume turned on the phone the ads come on loud even if you had “sound” turned off in the settings. It is ridiculous

After the last update, the game constantly crashes and loses all your progress. I’m getting tired of replaying all the games to achieve the bronze, silver, and gold daily awards.

Too many European words some that do not make sense Americans do not need to know about European castles. The words that are used do not exist in our of vocabulary. Ads are relentless

Turtle Mode
After reaching 60 consecutive days and 6000 points app now is so slow it takes approximately 1 minute per word, not per puzzle, per word in a puzzle. Cannot beat any challenges because of this. Horribly slow under IOS26!

Your game kills my music every time I open it, I don’t want your stupid music or ads, I wanna play your game with my music period
Frustrating
I have been playing this game for many years and it has been one of my favorites. However, lately it is glitchy, takes forever to load when you first login. Also, I play it every day and yet I get put back to day, one very often. Also, the ancillary games that keep track of days bronze gold and silver does not accurately keep track of the days. I will keep it for a time and see if it improves. If not, sorry to say, I will delete it!
Update March 30, 2026 still having the same problems listed in my original review. I have played this game since 2020 have solved over 55,000 puzzles and had 152 1st Pl. wins. I have read many of the reviews and agree with all of them. I understand you need to have ads for a free game, but lately it’s just been ridiculous. I just had to watch a one minute ad after clearing one level. you can tell by the scoring in the contests that you have lost many players. And now you’re going to lose another one. Apparently you don’t care!

Played 5 successful rounds and my score did not change! Why?
Why play when your score does not change and ads are extremely long! Fix this or you will not have players!
Stop turning off my music
The app turns my music off while I'm playing. This should be eliminated.
Fake Adds
The fake adds are really annoying. Every time the jello weight loss add appears I close the game. Fake adds should be against the law.
Ads are insane
The amount of ads is ridiculous. They make you open the App Store before it lets you skip. They want to annoy you into paying for the app

The game seriously needs to fix the sound issue. I have turned off all sounds and all animations and everything. I am able to play every other game on my phone and listen to music/audiobooks at the same time. This game does not allow me to even though everything is turned off y’all really need to fix it. If it keeps happening I will just quit the game.

Inaccurate Rewards
The game is misleading as it doesn’t actual add your rewards like it’s supposed to. Therefore, you spend money on points because it doesn’t accurately reflect your coins/rewards and is not honest. It also gets stuck or frozen. It’s really a bummer because I like the game. Customer service is zero help too.
Kept dropping out for adds
The game was fine for a while then suddenly it just kept dropping out of the game to go to ads nonstop. I deleted the app and tried again but it kept happening so now im done

I have played this game for years and love the competition. Have racked up near 300 wins; but these near constant pop up ads during a puzzle are down right insulting. Sure you need ad revenue to keep game free, ok with that. But the pace of ads and abrupt insertion of ads into games is a new thing-stop it!

There is no way to turn off the sounds and voices. If you want to play this game somewhere quiet. Forget it. Same otherwise with the commercials. There are many commercials that require interactions to get them to go away and they try to trick you into seeing more as well as accidental downloads. The commercials get longer each time they play. And now it automatically opens other apps randomly

I have been using this for a while now. Now, when you try to watch an app to get 10 points, you cannot get off of it and then you can’t get your points. I’m going to quit losing this thing right now.
Fun, but annoyingly glitchy
I absolutely love the game. But connecting the letters to spell the words is glitchy and not smooth. This is especially annoying when you are competing against other players where speed is of the utmost importance. I seriously tried to ignore the lag time, but in the end, I just couldn’t take it any longer and so ended up deleting the app. I hope someone is actually reading and responding to customer complaints. Because (minus the glitches) this game had the makings of being one of my most favorite games. Unfortunately, I had to throw the baby out with the bath water.
I don’t like the random commercials
I don’t like the random commercials that pop up loudly while I’m playing. It’s very very annoying.

Very fun … IF … you don’t mind an ad every time you place a letter ! Continuous ads. They want you to purchase to eliminate ads . No ! I’m not purchasing! I am giving this up ! I just want to do the puzzles and they continuously interrupt with unending ads . Too bad I really enjoyed the puzzles !

Love the game, but too many ads! Especially the verbal ones. You’ll be in the middle of playing when suddenly a voice starts spouting! So annoying.
