Changing devices
What gym app needs lockdown security to where you can only sign into the app on one device per month. Who is trying to hack your crunch account?????
Crunch fitness.
Y’all billing process is trash, honestly.
Worst app ever
Why the hell do I need to open it every time to show my ID? Awful. Just getting me to open the app everyday for some dumb metrics. And the reviews seem so fake - probably review farming. I’m going to file a report and see!
App and gym issue
Since there isn’t an easy place in the app or online account to make a customer service complaint, I’m going to include the complaint here with the app recommendation to include that ability.
I’m currently waiting in the lobby for childcare they said it could be more than 30 minutes and there is no way to tell what the real delay will be. I appreciate that they are sticking to the max kids per babysitter but being understaffed in there at peak hours seems like a big oversight, especially during summer. Childcare is the only reason I chose this gym. You need to over staff the childcare area or train the other staff to be able to fill in during peak times. If it happens again, I’m cancelling. Btw the “crunch meter” gym business scale showed 25%.

Incomplete features
What happened to the log a workout function?
useless
why do I need an app to go to a gym? was told this is the new rule and key tags can no longer be used. was this the rule when I signed up? was this the rule when you charged my credit card for renewal?
Forcing app use is ridiculous
The only way to enter gyms is to use the app. Why is an app needed? Really?!? Stop stealing data and be a gym.
Very bad no ask monthly payment is higher and
Very bad division 122
Terrible app. Bring back Apple Wallet
The app is supposed to replace a feature that was fast, seamless, and reliable but it can’t hold up its end of the bargain. It’s slow to open, often sits on a loading screen, and the overall experience feels clunky and unpolished. It isn’t a suitable replacement, it’s a downgrade.
If Crunch is going to force its members to rely solely on its app, the least they can do is make it actually work. And frankly, removing a member benefit like the Apple Wallet without any reduction in monthly dues doesn’t sit right. We’re playing the same for less.
Fix the app, bring back Apple Wallet, or adjust membership pricing accordingly.

Transferring phone problem
The app is giving me an Access Denied error once I tried deleting app off my old iPhone 11 and transferring to my new iPhone 14 phone. then tried logging in to new phone. It mentions it will take about 30 days before I can use the app on my new phone. I tried putting app back on my old phone and I get the same Access Denied message.
Add Apple Wallet support
Annoying that I have to open up the app just to scan in. Please add Apple Wallet support to make it easier to check in.
Disappointed in Austin
Spicewood location
I really wanted to love this gym, but unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype.
As a current Gold’s Gym member, I was looking for a more premium experience with amenities that would justify the higher price point. While the gym offers features like water massage beds and red light therapy, the overall experience fell short of expectations.
The cardio equipment was disappointing. Much of it is Star Trac, which I find average compared to brands like Precor and Life Fitness. The gym also had a noticeable chemical smell during my visits, and the music was consistently played at an excessive volume. Most members are using headphones, so the loud music felt unnecessary and distracting.
One of my biggest disappointments was the lack of a dedicated spin room. I was specifically told by two staff members that there would be one or two actual spin bikes available on the floor, but that was not the case.
We visited the Whitestone location several times. It was extremely crowded, with long waits for equipment. There appears to be plenty of square footage, but the layout is not optimized, resulting in too few machines for the number of members using the facility.
I was also surprised by how small the Spicewood location is. Again, the available space could be utilized much more effectively.
Overall, I wanted to be impressed, but I left feeling that the gym is overhyped and underdelivers on its promise. The marketing creates expectations that the actual experience simply doesn’t meet
