Fix your email issue
I redownloaded this app to make an account and literally pay you to watch stuff, but apparently my very real emails that work for way more official apps and websites are “invalid,” so I guess I will be accessing anime elsewhere since the only fixes I could find involve me making a brand new email for this app and that’s far too much effort to spend my money. This is a long standing issue that you’ve neglected to fix. Wonder how many thousands of dollars you have lost by frustrating prospective customers with this very fixable failure.
Terrible
Greed took over and quality cant keep up same with the horrible subtitles that dont match. Free stuff isnt even available anymore pure greed, lacking plenty of options and languages. Not to mention leaking our data. Id rather get in trouble for pirating that surrender my money to a greedy useless company that fell off

Out of sync audio
A billion dollar company that can’t get the basics right - not even the audio to synchronize to multiple episodes. I’d give it a 0.5 out of 5 stars but the lowest it allows is 1 star. Funimation was far superior to this saw excuse of an anime streaming service.

Slow to load, frequent logouts
It’s a streaming platform, not a high security financial platform. The frequent logouts are insane, add a Face ID if it’s that’s important. Other than this and Crunchyroll’s bottomless lack of ethics, it has a good library. 🤗
Paid yet doesn’t work
I bought this app and focused on using it mainly on my phone. Then this weird notification now doesn’t let me load in and no matter how hard I try nothing works. Funniest thing is that I’m paying for the subscription, it’s like the second day… And crunchyroll support is nonexistent

Some of the dubbed episodes the audio is out of sync. You offer solutions on your website that don’t fix the problem. Do better for a service people are paying for!

What’s the point of having the app be free?
Don’t be fooled. They’ll let you download the app, create an account, and opt out of buying premium. But once you want to watch ANY anime, you’re forced into buying premium because they’re all stuck behind premium.

More than once I’ve written detailed reviews of why I still pay for this app even though it’s terrible and the company treats customers like dirt. Strangely, my reviews disappear after a week or so but 5 star reviews from 6 years ago are what is shown you. Just sorted the reviews by “Most recent” and in the past week alone there have been over 40 one-star reviews.
Sadly, CR killed/purchased all the competition, then started raising prices while lowering quality. Subtitles stop working, trying to rewind 10 seconds hangs the app, random crashes, a completely ridiculous recommendation system (what they’ve found “for you” is exactly what they’ve “found” for me too. The More Like This button just shows whatever shows they’re pushing this week. And since they removed all ability for rating or reviewing shows & episodes, you need to go somewhere else to get that info.
The VRV app from 10 years ago was 10x better than CR in June of 2026.

Good but have issues
The issues are price increases, removing anime’s without notifying the subscribers, and continues errors on Xbox consoles while I could play anime on my phone/laptop with no issues.

Have you babysit the downloads and manually retry each one that fails. You’re better off pirating videos to your device than relying on this apps horrible downloading experience
