Just using the website through safari instead, which also has its own problems. D&D'S digital tools took a quality nosedive when 5.5 was released.
Sad money grab tactics and micro transactions
Subscribing to keep the items that I have brought playable is BS this is a sad story and I will not be renting my content from anyone. This is a terrible idea is horrible for the customer and end users.

New changes makes me nauseous
Set it back. Set it back now. Why hide everything in many clicks away to use the site? Makes it totally inconvenient and makes me want to go back to pen and paper. A drop down on the right side of the screen? You have got to be kidding me!

Sadness, I want to like this app but it's trash
i've been playing DND my whole life, I love DnD, this app has so many issues. The website is far better and still has it issues. But the app itself almost unusable. The navigation is very clunky, especially if you're trying to read books. They don't just let you search easily within a book. I paid for this book. I literally can't search easily. They should just give you a PDF and you can search the PDF. I could go on and on, but it's clear they aren't giving the attention to this app it needs. And I'm paying a yearly fee FFS! Do you think with all the yearly income they could update this app better and make it better.
Making exclusive content defeats the point
There are “incentives” for being subscribed in the form of exclusive content that I can’t share… the only reason I use this app is to run DnD campaigns with the content I bought, having “content” that I can’t share with my players isn’t an incentive it makes me want to unsubscribe and switch to pathfinder.
Unusable on Mac
The app on MacBook will show black text on a grey background, regardless of the display setting chosen.
Kinda sucks
It’s nice to have the reference material on your phone - until you realize that you DON’T have the reference material. You need to pay for all the D&D books yourself just to access basic information that you need for a character. Just use a free website like D&D wikidot.

WotC continue to show their greed with the new drops system. It was never about the fans and making a better game.
From no longer allowing players to buy single subclasses or races, the OGL debacle, the Pinkertons, and now their new Drops mechanic.
I haven’t bought a new book or official mini from WotC in years and it sucks because this used to be something so special to my friends and me. DnD Beyond was the last thing I could use so I could content share but, with this, my group and I are looking at other ttrpg’s that aren’t constantly trying to remind us we’re just a dollar sign to them.

Confusing and expensive mess
Our group spent tons of money on digital books and they were not compatible with our sheets. Stick to the physical books and PDFs. Do NOT give them a penny.

They based it off twitch a long time ago and never moved off it at the core. It never works. It’s 2026
Can’t even login
Can’t get past with the correct username and password as it doesn’t load the next screen. Their support recommended reinstalling which corrects nothing. Online searches review 5 years of similar unanswered solutions. Support says higher than normal number of comments so delayed responses, but I’d doubt if it was ever sufficient. Synopsis, don’t bother with mobile version as you will get neither functionality, support, or enjoyment out of its use.
New code broken
Can’t look up base class or filter out non WotC books or books I don’t know own.
Stop messing with it
Why are you guys continuously making this application that is very useful, less and less desirable. I should be able to simply click damage rolls and ALL damage from the dice should be rolled, both base weapon damage and additional elemental damage, rolled at ONCE, with ONE CLICK.

Please, someone get your ceo and make him watch a breakdown video on the fall of every major industry. Film their reaction. The remaining WOTC fans need to know wether they are beyond held at this point.

Needs serious work
Using the app to create a new character is an exercise in frustration. All too often, when navigating to text about a class or other traits, it’s impossible to navigate backwards and make another selection, forcing you to start over. The developers really should try USING their own app before releasing it. Deleting it now.
Necessary evil
I need this app to play my favorite game but the UX is terrible and so confusing. My party is literally made up of people who work in product management/strategy and design and at least 7 times every session we’re like “uhm why does it…” “how did I get to this screen?”

The dice rolls don’t works in this version of the app which is a big problem when traveling.
I like but…
I do enjoy the use of the app and that has been helpful in the campaigns that I’ve been involved in with it. However, I have lost access to several of my purchased content for no discernible reason and every attempt to recover, it has resulted in failure. I have tried going through the D&D Beyond support options however I have heard nothing back, and I still have not gotten access to any of my content.

Way to many in app purchase plus ai companions
Why can’t I tell my app that I am not I child and don’t need permission to get into my account?
I used to use this app a lot for playing D&D with my family, I uninstalled it a while ago and reinstalled it yesterday so I can look at my character sheets but I can’t get into my account without going through what is basically a child lock and there doesn’t seem to be a way for me to say that I am not a child. I will not go through a whole child account creating process when I am not a child and I just want to go though my previous character sheets for a new campaign.
