DailyBean - simplest journal

So at first when I saw this app it looked really cute and helpful. I downloaded it and it was working until after the survey and all that. It won’t let me do anything I’m just staring at a screen with noth8ng to do. It’s so stupid. I don’t understand why it doesn’t work

I used to loveee this app but now everything’s getting more and more expensive yet the I yet face is the exact same.
Before you could buy themes for 1.99 individually now I have to buy “clovers” for $5 just to get have enough to get 1 theme and the $17 pack is just enough for 2 ish themes!!! THATS SUCH A SCAM. This whole clover thing literally happened over night
And they’ve hiked up the annual premium from $9.99 to 19.99, at 19.99 I still bought it, then it 29.99 just like that again without any warning. NOW ITS 39.99I hate this. nothing has warranted such a huge price jump in the span of 2-3years- no new tracking features. Like what is even going on rn
Ultimately to each their own but as for someone who has been using this for 2 ish years. It’s not fair

you can’t even log anything without having to either pay a subscription or watch an ad. i’d rather just not use it

After this last update I now will be stopping the use of this app in the new year. I used to be able to save my journal and close out of the app in the middle of an ad and it would still save it and I could move on with my day but now if I close out during an ad it won’t save my journal and I’m forced to sit and watch each ad until it’s completely over and finally saves my journal. This is especially annoying because sometimes I forget to add something and used to be able to quickly go back, add it in then close out but now to just add one word it makes you wait to watch the ad all the way through. Because of this I now see the use of this app as more of a nuisance rather than helpful anymore which is really sad because I wrote in it every day this year. Guess I have to find something else to write in for 2026.

ads ruin the entire experience , its impossible to get clovers to buy new themes unless you buy them. disappointed.

I love the app but I hate the way I have to pay for it and I wish I had it for free I downloaded it and it was really good really fun but when I saw that I have to pay it broke me :(

The ads on the free version of this render it useless, but the price charged to remove ads is nuts, especially since the developer is clearly selling all the data you enter to aggregators also. This is a 99c/mo app at most.
