App does not load off network
I am an Ultra subscriber and I am unable to open the app on my iPhone or iPad on the latest version off network. There is no point to a download feature if the app requires a network connection to even start.
I have tried reinstalling on both devices with the same issue.
My recommendation would be to go with another subscription service if you want to view comics offline.

Annoying new pop up
Every time I open the app, there’s this annoying pop-up about DC Go comics. I will literally never read one of those. I like reading pages. Please stop trying to get me to read them. It’s incredibly annoying to close that pop-up every time I open the app for something that I will never use.
Won’t even let me login to my account
The iPad app won’t even let me login to my account and every time I login it demands I pick a subscription plan (that I have already paid for). Please fix so I can use this on my only feasible device for regular usage.
Can’t access the app anymore
I cannot login on my iPad 10th generation tablet anymore without it redirecting me to the subscription page, even though I already have the standard subscription.
The app works fine on my android phone, but the iOS app has become utterly useless, which the main way I read. If this isn’t resolved, I may have to cancel and fight for a refund. This is a shame as I’ve been a loyal subscriber since the beginning. Tech support has been woefully unhelpful.

I want to get DC Ultra Infinite But
I want to get this because it’s way cheaper than buying in person and you also get to read older comics that are almost imposible to find without selling your kidney But their is one big issue NO LANDSCAPE MODE I want to read my comics in school but I can’t Global comics has landscape mode and Marvel does too so Why doesn’t DC not have it when it’s comic and characters are hundred of times superior than other publishers PLEASE it’s a simple fix then I will change my review to a 5 Star ⭐️
Terrible app, terrible customer service
App just doesn’t work, despite me paying for a subscription. Screen goes black for a few seconds every once in a while, doesn’t let me open comics at all, and has terrible organization. Customer service literally did nothing to help whatsoever so I basically just lost the money for nothing.
Used to love this app
Idk what dc is doing but it says I don’t have an ultra account when I pay for the ultra yearly. When I tried to log out and back in it just freezes.
Not popping up panels
I did everything from clearing my cache and data I even messed with the settings and I still got Alfred popping up this is a warning to yall considering about buying this app nothing you’ll do will make the panels pop up like seriously I don’t hate yall but cmon guys fix your app :/
False Advertising - “7-Day Free Trial” not honored
The “7-Day Free Trial” advertised in the app by DC when signing up for one of the two subscription plans is not being honored by DC. You will be charged for the full cost of the subscription and you will not receive a refund if you cancel the subscription within the 7 day period as promised by the text on the app at sign up.

Error after error after error…… app wants you to have a subscription but every time you get into a comic and flip the page it just brings up Alfred error page…. DC fumbling their app like WB does the movie side of things…. If you want people to pay to read digital books at least have an app that works….
Horrible App, Horrible Service
I don’t get it. I subscribe for it, I get everything I need to do done for it, and then my subscription gets taken away. Absolutely horrible.

Signed up for the ultra membership, app wouldn’t load the basic level comics let alone the “ultra” level. Contacted support, only response was to reinstall the app, which I tried maybe 20 times before contacting support. Just trying to read some comics on an iPhone 14 Pro.
Kinda scammy business practices
I think it’s pretty scammy the way DC handles these subscriptions. To do an annual subscription plan, you have to go on their website and sign up. This makes it much less visible or clear that you’ve got an ongoing subscription. The alternative is doing a monthly subscription via the App Store, but there is no annual option, so you’d be paying much more for the monthly subscription. They should add the annual plan to the App Store so we can manage it easier with more visibility. Seems like they either want to be shady and let you forget your plan ran out, or charge you a significant premium for subscribing via the App Store. Blah, I don’t think I’ll be renewing.
Awful subscription service
In theory this is a great service, but it’s handled terribly. I have purchased the ultra monthly subscription twice now, the first time it didn’t recognize that I had any subscription, and I was only allowed the free comics, and when clicked on an ultra comic, and it wanted me to upgrade I pressed the subscription, it tells me I’m already subscribed to that. I cancel and resubscribe to ultra monthly, just to only be alotted the premium tier, again I press upgrade and it says I already have ultra monthly. This is absolutely ridiculous.

I paid over 100 dollars for a subscription that stopped working on my iPad … The marvel comic app is WAY BETTER

A few things:
1) There are paywalled comics even after you purchase a subscription to try to get you to purchase a higher tier. Lame. Marvel’s subs all grant you access to the same comics.
2) The UI is clunky. No excuse for a modern app IMO.
3) The app showed that you would get a 7 day trial, but when I signed up I ended up paying for a subscription. I should have done my due diligence before I went through the process so I’ll take the accountability here. I tried the app, but was annoyed with the paywall and the UI.

Spam app. Run!
Had this app for a month. Today it decided to spam my notifications. There are no settings in the app to turn it off. And the app isn’t listed in the iOS notification settings app list (2 big red flags).

Ultra Tier is a Scam
Unless you’re willing to pay the $119 for the Ultra tier, pretty much everything you’d want to read is locked up. Save your money.

Frustrating User Experience
The search option is worst than Microsoft Outlook. I search specific titles like “Batman: The Blind Cut” or “Absolute Wonder Woman” and it gives me some bizarre search results like Super Girl.
The app is so frustrating that I’m contemplating finding pirate sites instead. Please fix this app and learn from the Shonen Jump and Kindle apps or else people will stop using this.

Frustration Awaits
I want to like this app, but its functionality constantly causes me headaches and frustration. Between it forcing a portrait view to select comics, sometimes not responding to a tap in order to bring up details, and navigation around the comics themselves, there’s a constant supply of poor UX and annoying navigation.

If you want to read any of their more recent stuff this app seems to have what you want probably.

glitchy
incredibly glitchy on my iphone 16 and jailbroken kindle 8 HD. on my phone it will flash black every once in a while and on my kindle half the pages are covered in gray blocks.
Antagonistic UI
I like the library, but it’s as if the User Interface is trying to make you regret your subscription purchase. It feels like I have to mail in my inputs and wait 2-3 business days to get a response, the latency is so slow. The downloads are not organized at all, I can’t see the download que, sometimes the downloads up and go missing entirely but It’s so hard to check because,again, the downloads are not organized in any order, and may just change the order entirely between opening and closing the app.

The page turning mechanism is too touch sensitive. I would like to stay on my page instead of being thrown to the very first page or moved to the next every time I accidentally touch the screen.

Needs landscape mode when browsing and searching. It’s annoying having to rotate an IPad to browse titles. Lack of sorting and filter options makes navigating the app a chore.

It's sometimes hard to find and follow storylines, something that should really be addressed given how headache-inducing it can be to find a suitable reading order. I'm no UX expert so I won't go into detail but it feels like it could be much better organized, too. Maybe by character or something. A tree with all the timelines and characters or something like that might be useful.
Comics should totally start back over at the beginning once they're finished, or there should at least be a button to do so. Choosing a page number would also be appreciated, combined with a way to quickly scroll through each page.
As for performance, downloaded comics buffer and randomly toss you back to the beginning (which is super annoying with some of the longer pieces, especially without a way to quickly return to your place). the app crashes if the cache gets too full, which I'd rather not have to manually manage.
It's obvious that this app wasn't made with any vision, they just tried to slap something together that would work, which I think is a disservice to the writers and artists who made the comics in the first place.

The stability of the app is dubious at best. Also lacks features that are standard in other digital comic readers (ex: no landscape mode).
So close to perfect
It’s so great to have a source of access to such a wide (excluding what’s behind all the higher paywalls) library which makes exploring older comics so much fun, which would be a lot easier if there was some way to sort these searches or lists by any different metric (oldest to newest, popularity, etc.) without this your app becomes a bit of a maze. This simple fix would make your app basically perfect for newcomers to hop into your series
