Don’t get me wrong. I love my Eletta Explore espresso machine. But this app? Not so much.
The app is mind-numbingly slow. It was a hassle to connect the app to my machine. When you do finally connect, the app has the model number and serial number right there, but you can’t register your machine in the app. Instead, you must go to the website and manually enter all these details that already exist in the app-using the SAME account login! Crazy!
The app just creates all kinds of friction in the experience because of extremely poor design and execution.
After I finish the arduous task of configuring my machine, I know I will rarely use this app.

No App Connectivity
This app is the worst app for connection. I’ve only ever gotten it to connect to my machine once in the almost month I’ve had the machine. My husband still can’t connect to it. The machine itself is amazing. I was hoping to have an app that I can use while waking up but still in bed to walk out of our room and have coffee while making breakfast. In contrast, I’ve just spent 20 minutes trying to create through the app when I can just go to the machine. Small thing I know, but that’s what we saved for. We bought DeLonghi because they have a long history of great machines. But their app needs serious work.
Slow and fragile
I can connect and make a coffee with the JOE app in the time it takes this app to just connect. I can no longer make two drinks in the app because it starts the drink and freezes at 0% and I need to restart. I have a new elleta extreme so hopefully it’s not the unit. Prior version of the app progressed the percentage at least.

It can find my machine 1 out of 100 times. And even when it does, it cannot connect to it at the end! Worst experience!

Loses connection
App is clunky at best. Some days it works, most days it loses wifi connection. App and wifi have to restart and retry daily - even after working fine earlier in the day. Many times app thinks the machine is in sleep mode when it is making coffee. Problems are inconsistent so it’s frustrating to troubleshoot. It needs a major overhaul.

The app simply does not connect.
I’ve tried everything: 2.4GHz network, router restart, machine reset, all permissions enabled, no VPN, no Private Relay… nothing works.
The machine connects to Wi-Fi, but the app never completes the pairing process.

App is a joke
Title says it all. These people should be fired.
Does anyone know how to get this to connect? The app is not asking for local network permission. So despite the machine being on the network, it will not connect.

Does not connect with the machine even if you have already turned WiFi, location services and Bluetooth on. By the time you are about to register the account, it only enables a few countries; does not open a possibility to include a different from those listed in the app.

As well as the De’Longhi coffee machine performs, this application is the complete opposite.

Pairing Process Too Slow
While in fact, it does take about a minute to 90 seconds to pair the app with the machine at least you have to do that every single time you want to use the app with the machine. If you used it 15 minutes ago and you had walked more than 10 feet away from the machine then you need to spend another minute or two re-pairing before you can use the app again
Can’t Connect
Eletta Explorer connected to WiFi. iPhone is connected to same WiFi network and Bluetooth is also on. App doesn’t find machine. Tried manual. That doesn’t work. Turned WiFi on and off and shutdown both Eletta and iPhone. Did this over several days several times. No success ever.
Connectivity doesn’t work
One of the reasons I bought a new Delonghi was WiFi connectivity. I just followed the instructions to set it up. Although the app initially says it found my machine, after I enter the pin, choose my network and enter my network password, the app says it cannot find a machine. I attempted it multiple times. Very disappointing.
Does the developer even test this?
This new update was supposed to fix bugs but now the app crashes midway while brewing a drink from the app. The long connect issue at startup is still there. What was fixed?? Please make this useful.
Worst app ever
You fight to get this to connect. When I say fight, it will be reset after reset. If you give a couple off hours or come back another day it may work. The messed up part is you HAVE to have the app to tune the machine. If I had known this I would’ve bought a different machine.

This app doesn’t work. I’ve gone to Reddit, I’ve consulted the company, the app doesn’t connect to WiFi or any of my phones (both Android and IOS). Most people say it took them days to get the app to connect to the coffee maker but I’m not finding that to be accurate at all. I’ve had to coffee machine for 5 days and still haven’t gotten it to connect to any of my devices. The coffee machine, Delonghi Electra Explore is amazing, the app is worthless. To be honest I’m not even sure I’m qualified to rate the app since I can’t even get it to connect to I’ve a real review of how it works. But since it doesn’t work, this is what the app deserves.

Don’t waste your extra money on the Bluetooth feature. The app is completely unreliable and has been since it first launched.
Not worth installing
Honestly, the app is so slow and not fictional it’s not even worth installing. It takes probably over a minute to even connect to the machine and then any button you click the page has to load to 10 seconds, and then you have to wait another few seconds for the animations to mark their little green check box that they got connected or did whatever fiction was supposed to happen. I tried to edit my water temperature of my machine, the Dinamica Plus, and the edit button doesn’t even work. This app functions like it’s on dial up internet or something. Absolutely terrible.

Tried logging into the Coffee Link app, but it wouldn’t start at all-just froze on the loading screen. I had to manually clear the app data to get past the issue. Even after that, it failed to start properly. Very disappointing experience. An app this basic should at least launch without problems.

Excellent coffee machine, but I get better use out of a potato than the app. IF it ever connects to my machine, I have to fight to alter coffee recipes with the smallest slider widgets known to man.

Exceptionally Slow
Giant waste of time. It takes forever to connect, as in a good 30+ seconds. Then what? Just to select the same options from the screen built into the coffee maker. Poor app. Poor experience.

Lost course. Very hard to pair with coffee machine. Been trying for more than 100 times still unsuccess. Read all the tips found in reddit, still no hope.

This application has potential to be very good. However, from a blind person‘s perspective, using voice, this app has serious issues. Would love to even work with the developer to clear these up. However, there is positive things about this app. First of all,, the app does have the ability to monitor the machines real time status. So, for instance, the user can actually Know that the knob on the milk froth, has to be turned to position zero, which for instance is the clean position. However, I do desire a response from this developer. Don’t know of any other channels to contact.

I do not see the point of this app, if it takes longer to connect than for the machine to turn ON and make coffee, I find it useless.

My Eletta Explore consistently makes excellent coffee, no matter the type. The app is practically useless. While you can start the machine remotely you still need to be physically present to make the coffee since the first process after power-on is a rinse. Also, every few months the app loses its connection to the machine forcing me to re-register the machine as if it just came out of the box. My last attempt to connect was unsuccessful so I’ve given up on it.
Fix the app
The app needs a lot of fixes. The app doesn’t connect and struggles to find my machine too many times and the beam adapt program is a joke it disconnects in the middle of the of brewing the soul espresso wasting too much beans and disconnects before even saving the new beans profile. Fix the app, your machines aren’t cheap and this should work with no issues
Clunky and only mildly useful
This app was okay at doing basic stuff. There is little fine tuning that one can accomplish with the app in terms of grind time and extremely limited combinations available for customization.

Idea is nice but not convenient for using it remotely
The idea of having the coffee machine connect to your phone is amazing but many things that don’t work about this. First off, when you turn on the machine, it does a quick clean, you need to have a container for the water, so you need to be around the machine to be able to replace it with a cup before brewing. Defeats the point of doing this remotely. Another thing is the coffee settings in the app are different than the machine. On the machine, you choose sizes (small, medium,etc) while on the app you choose by ml.
Too slow to connect and startup to be useful.
Good for one time setup and not for daily operations.

I want to like this app, but about every 3 time I launch the app it makes me login again. With no support for Face ID. So I have to type everything in. This is an app for a coffee machine not my bank.
Lost cause
I have own my machine for 3 years now and the app is the worst part. Does not connect and is slow enough that it is easier to use the machine. I would not buy this brand again simply because of this app. I have not seen an app this bad. Puts you back in time to original apps when iPhone came out. Even then most connected faster and were more functional. I still have a question why is milk in second? What happened to ML and Oz? Make it hard use grams for milk but time is not a measure for milk
