I think it’s sneaky they only have the choice to do one full year of subscription in advance or nothing at all. Was not expecting to be charged $70 in one full go. If it really is worth more than social media, then why isn’t it free? I don’t understand.

Why I deleted after downloading
Can’t speak for android users but I don’t mess with subscriptions that can’t be linked to my Apple account. I know you use it for sign in. But then it takes you to a website for payment and I don’t ef with that.
Which is a shame bc I was excited. But there are plenty of apps like this now. So I’m just telling you so you can keep up ? Idk .

Predatory Pricing
I signed up on a promotion of $19.95 for a yearly subscription in Feb 2026 because I was really interested in this type of product and was excited to feed my love of learning. However, I then received a charge for $49.95 3 months later that they are refusing to refund, even though it was an unauthorized payment. That’s super shady and their “bite sized” learning is actually common phrases from historical figures you can essentially find anywhere. The app is also cumbersome to use and not well designed.

I wish anyone who was associated with creating with this buttcheek of an app stubs their toe every Thursday at 12 pm. I was at 78% on Acu and this STUPID app decides to send me a notification. Im deleting the app all they do is clutter your phone with notifications. If i could give 0 stars i would.
They don’t remind you when subscription is renewing
They won’t remind you when their subscription is about to renew like many other companies. I saw I had a charge and emailed to ask for a cancellation and a refund because it’s a really bad time for extra spending right now and they won’t refund. I emailed immediately after seeing the renewal email and they won’t help me and my family out. I cannot support or recommend a company like that. I guess they needed my $50 more than my family did.

Have to pay for a lot of it which was never mentioned beforehand, and the UI sucks. For example if you get an achievement it stops you from being able to scroll for a solid 5 seconds . Just not what it was really advertised as

The app just tries to sell you books and then you can’t cancel the subscription because they use stripe to handle the subscriptions and you can’t remove your payment method once you add it and they just keep trying to charge you $69.99 over and over and over

I rarely leave one star reviews, but this one earned it. The content quality in this app is extremely disappointing. It reads like a collection of recycled, surface level ideas packaged with the same kind of click bait framing you see in low effort, content apps.

This app encourages you to do a week trial, says they’ll send you a message to remind you that the trial is ending, doesn’t, then charges you $70 for the YEARLY pro subscription instead of a regular monthly cost. And when you email support, they refuse a refund. It’s a scheme, I am very disappointed. Now I’m forced to have the app for the year but don’t even want to use it because it is not a respectable company.

I downloaded this app because it was basically advertise an alternative to doom scrolling such as watching videos to help you learn more and break that habit. But when downloaded it was just audio book and quick books nothing of what it was advertising plus the making you pay a subscription for something that isn’t what it is! Stay away!

Be careful starting any kind of trial with this app (free or not) they will charge you $23 even if you cancel! They don’t show up in the subscriptions tab in Apple setting nor Rocketmoney which is sketch!! All transactions are non-refundable and this company owns the apps Paladin and Dilemmo and the CEO is the cofounder for UberVU so it’s purely greed. They have a fake link to request a refund through Apple, but when you search up the receipt/transaction it doesn’t show up!! They’ve gotta be using AI for customer service, because the email I got back was not helpful and it’s like they didn’t even read the contents of my email. So many red flags, this company is SKETCHY!!!
