An Embarrassment in UX
I can't even review the app properly because I'm stuck in a loop of verifying my email. It's really cool how you value selling my information over just getting money for services provided.

I always use online ordering but for del taco I think they should hire better team for development because there login is worst so far and coupons doesn’t help anymore

App Too slow, plus who does still not have apple pay, except you, losers.
The terms of their loyalty program are not being honored
I have achieved epic status on their loyalty program, but have never received the free epic burrito I’m supposed to get every quarter. I have sent multiple messages and called Del Taco’s corporate office, they have not helped. Total scam.

App was working around the winter time for me now all of the sudden my card was getting declined and when I try and see what cards I have in my account and it no longer has my card saved and doesn’t let me add a card. It’s super laggy and they should allow Apple Pay in the app. It’s odd that every app has that but this one.

Insufferable app
I cannot log in no matter what I try. Anywhere. I’ll go to Taco Bell instead. Their app is better and easier. Thanks for nothing, Del Taco! Get a better app.

I’ve never had as many issues with an app before. Some are better than others, but this Del taco app is the absolute worse. I’m going to Taco Bell now…
Jumbo shrimp, Bogo tacos
I took the app in to get my Bogo shrimp taco and the girl behind the register did not know what she was doing. Unfortunately there’s a manager here, but she’s too busy in the kitchen to try to help. I don’t recommend this Del Taco simply because the service is awful. Frankly, they’re not very people oriented. I used to come here a couple years ago when things were different, things were better things were organized, and the people knew what the hell they were doing!
Deleted App after DL
I tried to get the verification email for 10 min… sure I got a spam email for 20% off immediately - but the email verification email is broken - so I will just got to Taco Bell or McDs (their apps work). Why email verification - do text verification.

The standard for all mobile ordering apps should be that EVERY TIME an order is placed, the customer MUST choose store location. Please correct this issue.

Not modern, glitchy.
No Apple Pay or gpay or Samsung pay. App glitchy switching between locations and the cart doesn’t transfer selected items from the last location and it glitches when applying a promo when you switch locations so you have to add it to the bag all over again.

If you pay attention you will notice that rewards don't actually apply to your cart or lower your price. Misleading and dishonest.
Fiscally irresponsible!
An app shouldn’t allow you to order from a restaurant that isn’t open. I ordered lunch and sent it to be prepared before arriving as I have a limited lunch time. When I arrived I found the store is closed and no way to recoup my money. The last time I ordered from here was the last time I’ll order from here.

What happened?
Edit 3: Multiple offers are not working. I keep getting the error message: the basket does not contain the required item for the offer. When it does contain both the correct item and the minimum requirements for the offer..
Edit 2: it’s probably been a year or two since my issue below and not has been fixed..
Edit: second time I’ve had the system say my card is declined.. for billing error… my billing is fine and I have money in my account.. please fix this bug!

No support for digital wallets?
Make it as easy as possible to get some food on the go. Manually adding a credit card is so last century 😒

Never getting used
You can’t even browse the app menu without signing in. Every time I try to signup it errors. It’s fast food. Shouldn’t have to go above and beyond to log in and see a food menu.
Don’t expect a functional app
There’s a long list of things in this app that feel slow, unintuitive, or simply don’t work. Rewards not applying properly, the menu glitching out. And when I tried to let the devs know, the app’s “send feedback” button doesn’t even work.
Can’t log in
Been stuck in an annoying ring around regarding my account because I made one using Apple and I can’t verify my email because I never get the verification message. Reached out to tech support and they were utterly useless. I’m not gonna make a whole new email for an app that shouldn’t be hard to get working, yet is seems like quite the challenge for a team del taco. 0/10.
Still have to use the browser
There is no way to customize your order through the app. I still had to use the web browser. Del Taco discontinued my favorite item but I can edit another item on the web browser to be the same as that other item. Can’t do it through the app. This seems like a huge problem… I can’t be the only one who edits their orders.

It makes me re enter my credit card for every order. When I choose the option to save my card for future orders that card gets declined for every order after the first one. The only way it works is if I enter the same card as a new card. No issues with any of my cards anywhere but this app. Fix this and/or add Apple Pay

I finally managed to log in to the account I tried to create over a month ago, but sadly I can’t place a delivery order without “adding a tip” even though I’ve selected a tip option.
Good luck redeeming points
I love Del Taco. I was so excited to move back down where there are locations and download the app. I got all these points and all these offers. If you try to redeem your points or use the offers, good luck thougg. I’ve never had an app fail so regularly at allowing you to. Please hire professionals to redo your app.

It makes me reset my password and didn’t recognize the new one constantly.
Infinite email verification loop
I’ve had this app downloaded for ages but I’ve never been able to enter it. It keeps asking me to verify my email, I verify it, I go to enter the app again, I have to verify my email, I verify it, I go to enter the app, I have to verify my email.
If you can fix this one minor issue, I’ll change this review. Hopefully everyone has better luck than me.

This app is broken
Locked me out of my accounts. Kept saying invalid password even when I changed it.
App is a scam
The app takes away your reward points when you try to order an item, doesn't add the item to your order , and when you try to check out say you now don't have enough points to redeem your reward. It happened twice in a row and when I contacted customer service twice and they had no answers and wouldn't reinstate my points. What a ripoff-don't use this app. Never using it again.

Try as hard as I can but never gets past email verification. The link to a website say all good but the app never gets the message. Going to eat somewhere else because ordering from the website charges my card, but fails the order.

This app is absolute trash. It makes you log in over and over and does not keep you logged in so you have to do this every time you want to order from it. Just delete the damn app and save your time.
