I found a recipe online and it directs me to use the app for easier navigation. I download the app and the recipe I was looking at is members only. What a complete waste of my time.

Wish I had known that before I created an account because more I have to delete all that. You only get to look at two free recipes (but some are not available at all) before you have to subscribe. I’m beyond done with subscriptions nickel and dime-ing us everywhere. Time to bring out my Betty Crocker cookbook.
Was great when free… now everything is behind a paywall
Used this app for months to get new ideas for dinner, now I use lost access to my saved recipes because they decided its members only now. How disappointing

This was very deceiving. I found recipes online from Delish which I was able to view however they encouraged for the app. Once the app was downloaded, none of the recipes were able to be viewed without the premium membership and at $2.99 per month. This is ridiculous. Very deceitful Delish!
Why must I sign in every time I use the app?

Used to be free, now charges for a premium membership
I used to love this app, it had great recipes and a very simple user interface. Have had it and been using it for about 4 months now but suddenly I tried to view a recipe I had saved and they are claiming it’s for the premium membership only now. Immediate uninstall and will never use again

it sucks how it used to be a free app that allowed you to explore new ideas. now it’s behind a paywall. I just hate how everything costs something even being able to see recipes. sucks, but oh well.

I find these recipes on Google all the time and I can’t use your app to view OR save them because I have to pay money. Capitalism is absolutely bonkers. You. Suck.

Was a fan until the GREED
I wish I could write a spectacular review because the recipes I’ve made are incredibly yummy and the app is well layed out. Unfortunately delish which was completely FREE is now charging people money for a subscription to have access to their recipes. Just another big company gone greedy. I won’t be participating i IMMEDIATELY screenshot all the recipes in my library and promptly deleted the app. Capitalistic greed always ruins everything. No thanks.

A complete buggy mess
I really wanted to like this app. Unfortunately, it just doesn’t work. From a search bar that lags and tries to input text you aren’t writing to recipes that never save no matter how many times you click the bookmark button - it’s a bad user experience.
It honestly feels like I’m navigating around in a beta version app. I’ll stick to the website from now on.

Janky, Ad-Littered, Basic
I just signed up for an annual plan. Next thing I know, I’m seeing offers on the site for $10 less/year than what I just paid. So that wasn’t cool. Downloaded the app. The experience is as bad as the reviews suggested. Sluggish, disorienting, and still contains ads for subscribers. Pretty lame, guys - especially since they’re all the same ad and they all say “Activate Your Account”, which is misleading - I almost clicked one! Also clicking on the account icon, then menu, then Settings, then Edit Preferences takes me to, you guessed it, the onboarding welcome screen. Tried completing the onboarding to see if that would fix it and repeated the same steps. Nope - right back to the welcome screen as if I never even completed onboarding. Stay away from Delish until they get their act together. What a joke. Give me my money back. Actually, you can keep it, but I’m out of here.

I never review, but these guys issued an article with 100 fryer recipies and blurred them out unless you get their app.

I have downloaded this app several times and it still won’t work!
Can’t open recipes
The only thing this app needs to do is show the recipes. It crashes when you click to open anything. What a waste of a subscription, which has some serious privacy issues.
Awful
I didn’t even get past the sign in page. It wouldn’t let me accept the terms and conditions. It kept freezing and not allowing me to move forward. Awful, buggy app.
Nearly unusable
This app is glitchy and should not have been rolled out. I still use the website since it’s so slow, often won’t pull up my saved without going back to the top of the list so I have to start over again and the search function is too wide to make usable. I don’t normally write reviews but this is just awful.

Developer obviously never tried to use it after they made it. Formatting is not cooking friendly. I will go back to the online version.
Inconsistent
Some recipes look good- but many don’t have thumbnail pics and have to click into the recipe for a photo and some have videos on thumbnail but the videos aren’t there when you click into the actual recipe.
Bugs and can’t finish profile
So bad- can’t set up feed it just stops and crashes.
Pretty junky
Whenever I get an email about a recipe I try to look it up in the app. I can never find it! I type in the exact same recipe title from the email and it never finds it. It usually returns some random recipe! It’s so annoying. And it keeps telling me I’m out of articles. I have at least two active subscriptions going right now. How can you not find at least one of them?! It’s just so much extra work when there are some great feee recipe websites out there. Please do better.
What a WASTE!
I just got an air fryer, so I thought I’d look up recipes. So Delish gives me an ad for their app, I download it. I sign up, and do their preferences quiz…and then it gives me my recipe feed. And it is EVERYTHING. I. LEFT. UNSELECTED. I left sweets off the list, all I see is desserts and BOOZE…that’s really something that needs to be a preference we can choose. Especially people who DO NOT DRINK, or CANNOT drink. I got everything I didn’t want. Don’t bother with this app.
Worthless app
Why have a feature in the recipes that allow you to set a timer for the directed amount of time, when it clears after you leave the app? I’m not talking shutting the app down, I’m talking scrolling to another app while you’re waiting on your food to cook! What am I supposed to do sit there and stare at the delish app while my food cooks! I’m currently guessing when my food is going to be done cause your trash app cleared the timer.
Does not work well
Please make the app better if you are trying to have us use the app. I’ve been trying to add meals and it keeps redirecting me to this app and none of my meals are saved and then when I try and save a new one it keeps telling me sorry there has been a problem
Finally an App! but wait…
Delish has been my go-to place for recipes for years but I had always wished there was an app; and now we have one! However, the images don’t load pretty often on the search view and only loads once you actually click on the recipe, making it difficult to quickly see and find the one.
UPDATE: app keeps crashing and isn’t even functioning- I have uninstalled and re-installed, doesn’t fix the issue.

Crashing!
App crashes every time I try to open it. I’m on iOS 26.1. Was really excited to use the app for a recipe tonight. Disappointed
I was excited for this
I still get emails from Delish, before the app, I could click the link in an email and it would take me to the recipe, now it takes me to the app, but not to the recipe. Usually I get an error. I was excited to see an app, but I’d rather go back to the website. Hopefully the bugs get worked out soon otherwise there is no point in me keeping the app.
Very Glitchy
App does not run smoothly. Some pictures and videos show errors, scrolling is terrible. It is too easy to accidentally click on a recipe while scrolling. There also needs to be a scroll bar on the side to show where you are.
App Functionality Stinks
With the incessant DoorDash adds, clunky scrolling, and lag cause me to rate this app 2 stars. The lack of an alarm bell or sound while using the timers in “cook mode” make this app rating a one star overall. I’m about to cancel my subscription and use something better.
Confusing
Why is an app for recipes sponsored by a company that wants you to order out from restaurants? Every 10 seconds of scrolling is a huge distracting video ad for DoorDash. I’ll stick with the 29 other recipe apps available.
Worse than website
Ever since Delish came out with this app, I cannot print a decent copy of their recipes. I don’t like the screen view of this app and I can’t cook off of it from just my phone/pad due to the limited view. When I try to print from the website now, half the page is taken up with a huge ad for the app. I will probably cancel my Delish subscription due to these changes
Good Food terrible app and website!
I am unable to enlarge the font or print the recipe even though I have paid for the app and website. It won’t recognize my sign in ! I’ll have to cancel since I can’t view the recipes I paid for!
App and website recipes not consistent
Coming into Thanksgiving, I am in search of keto friendly recipes. Found a lot of Delish’s website but forced to use the app if I want them for free. But the recipes I’m looking for aren’t found in the app. For example, on the website is “best-ever keto stuffing”. Opening the app from this recipe goes to the front page. Opening the app from “keto bread” recipe takes me to the keto bread recipe. Not the stuffing recipe. I wasn’t able to search for this stuffing recipe either. Not in the results.
I simplified my search terms to keto and tried again. Another time with stuffing. No luck. The results that loaded were slow and not very responsive to touch. Several times in attempting to scroll it registered it as a tap and opened a recipe that I didn’t want. Loading times for these actions is too long.
Know what didn’t have long loading times and improved scrolling? The constant huge door dash ads. It’s my first time interacting with Delish and came away disappointed. Deleting my profile I had to create.

Bummer
Delish now requires you to use the app and the app interface is garbage. You also can no longer see any images of the recipes that Delish sends you, as everything is blurred out when you click on an article. You sign in, and you are no longer looking at the e-mailed recipes, you just see the home page of the app. I will not be renewing my subscription. Bummer because I’ve been a subscriber for years.

I’ve tried a dozen times to login to the app and was unsuccessful. Really hard to enjoy your recipes when I’m “out of free recipes” and your app won’t accept any of my attempts to try and create an account.

Screen size
Unbelievable that it is only configured to be used on a phone. When I open it on my ipad (which I always use for recipes) it opens as if on a phone and doesn’t use the entire screen. 12/23/25, Are you every going to fix the app so I can use it in landscape mode, full screen on an ipad? Until then it is an app that I will not use!! 04/10/26 Still waiting for it to work full screen on an iPad.
Saving issues
It’s frustrating how trying to save a recipe results in a 50/50 if the app will actually let you or not. I see more error messages than not. I will wait a day, refresh, and have even checked for updates to not have the problem fixed after a week is beyond annoying.
Searches yield few results
I searched for crockpot chicken dinner and got one result. Seriously?!
