Optimization
This app needs a lot of optimization, it seems it cant take big playlist, it really gets on my nerves when I cant do anything, I cancelled my subscription because I really expected more.
UPDATE: It's all gone.
This app was incredible, I gave it 5 stars, and it generally did every single last thing I could have asked for it to. Unfortunately, even though I did not switch my Apple account or anything of the sort, it deleted all of my playlists containing at least 10,000 songs after an update during which it somehow deleted itself. I have backups of some of the playlists, but not all of them. Even though I can see the data is saved to iCloud and should be able to be accessed, Demus just refuses on its own behalf to load all my playlists. I'm sorry, but do not use this app if you want any kind of long-term consistency. (Unless, I suppose, you are backing everything up every single time you do anything, to thirty different locations...)
Issues
Well it’s gotten slightly better. Though it still takes forever sometimes to load. Also there is an annoying ad that won’t leave. You know when you click the x and it takes to the App Store? That’s what it does. Also My battery was around 80 % and about two hours later it was dead. 😒
I was honestly excited for a free music app and ready to share it with others but after the First day each time I tried to use it has the issues of not loading so it’s pointless to have it if I can’t use when I want.

Where’s my playlists? (MORE RECOVER OPTIONS)
Extremely disappointed to find all of my playlists missing (super huge playlists) and I never did anything to clear it. I hope there’s an update or a way to retrieve it. I don’t use iCloud and never planned on using it but apparently iCloud is the only thing that backs up the app. Also I was logged into a yt account and none of the changes I made on Demus were put on the synced YouTube account

Music rarely plays anymore
Had no complaints at first and the app worked flawlessly, but about 2-3 weeks ago the app just broke.
Most of the time I click on a song/video in my playlist it buffers then gives an error message. I’ve tried VPN off, VPN on, and wifi turned off but usually nothing helps. Occasionally it’ll work but more often than not it doesn’t. I followed the “ if my songs aren’t playing” instructions but it was to no avail.
Please fix.

songs don’t play
i been using this app for half a year and it’s been pretty solid, but now i might have to delete it. after this recent “bug update” like half the songs on any of my playlists won’t play. it just says “sign into your youtube” as im already signed in. what point is having the app if i cant play music on it?? it also just randomly pauses mid song without me even pausing it. i’m really starting to hate this app

Resolve battery draining please
Bought premium. Drained a 75%battery in just 1.5hours what the hell !? All other background apps closed for controlled testing . Test subject iphone 14 Pro Max
Drains battery faster than I’ve ever seen
Started using this app for the interface and the free music. A couple weeks ago I started to notice my battery was running out significantly faster than it normally used to. Connected the dots that it was only happening when I listened to music on this app. Decided to run an experiment and watched my phone lose 2 percent within 90 seconds while playing music on the app. Basically unusable unless your phone is plugged in.

Phone Overheating
Every time I use this app, my phone overheats. I just put on music to listen to, turn off my phone, and that’s it. Yet, it overheats! Please help fix this overheating issue.

Constantly glitching
It was working fine until one day I tried to get into the app & it shut me out. It’s been 2 months & I still can’t get it & it won’t let me sing into my account without exiting me out of the app. This is the only app that does this & I hope it gets fixed since I have so many songs saved on here.
SOMEHOW my playlist reverted to my old ones from a year ago (it DELETED ALL newer playlists & songs)
for some reason all my recent playlists deleted and somehow my playlist reverted to my old playlists from a year again and im so upset because I had so much songs and the way i organized them took me so long, I create playlists for my favorite songs of each month and iv been doing it since September 2025 till April 2026 and im so upset that I don’t get that back. Another thing is- sometimes the songs dont play and it said that the song is play but for some reason I don’t hear anything and I have to close the app multiple times and then it just skips the song because there a “issue” or sometimes it doesn’t play at all and just skips to the next song. And sometimes when you wanna look at the lyrics it’s either delayed or the wrong lyrics. And you know I don’t really have an issue with that, because I can look it up myself and it rarely happens. But the main thing I didn’t like was somehow all my playlist were GONE! And reverted to the old playlists I had from a year again, and mine you i didnt have many songs or playlists on them. I loved this app so much, but with that glitch or whatever that was. Im gonna have to find another music app, and which is upsetting because I had no problem with this app until that happened. and especially with a 10 dollar one time payment for full access I really loved! You can rarely find deals like that💔 if that havent had happened I wouldn’t have to find another app

Muy mal, reproduce una canción si y la siguiente no, y luego dos si y luego otras tres no, fatal para conectarse a TV o auto… En fin muy mala, pero le doy dos estrellas porque el algoritmo es bueno por lo menos…

demus is like my favorite music app but theres an error that wont let me play music and tells me to sign in when i already am. hope its fixed soon :(
