Run in a cycle with the photoTAN authentication
Awful Registration
They send you a letter with your user name. Then a separate letter with your access code. You login and set up a personal password… just so they can snail mail you a third time with an access code for their BestSign. By the time you get all these letters via snail mail, it took WEEKS to gain online access! Ridiculous
How this is over 4???

Good lord I hate this app. I hate this bank. I hate everything about the customer experience.
Nothing works well. Saved accounts for transfers get erased from time to time which is always great fun when bills are due, there’s no consistent ability to copy a previous transfer (sometimes the plus button is there, sometimes it’s not!), log in information randomly cleared often in the name of “privacy is our passion”. So passionate that they keep your accounts and features private from YOU their customer! Customer has no control over account access, and it’s all managed by post. Look, I know I’m an expat and have different standards, but come on, this is just masochistic.

It is crashing after a software update. Uninstalling and re installing did not help. I hope they can fix problem soon.

Photo Tan does not work for me
I have online Banking in the US and Great Britain. I never have any problems. I spend 2 days on the phone to get help. When i am part to the explanation nothing happens and I am disconnect4ed.

Stating PSD2 but just pure incompetence
When I want to add my company‘s DB account to my private DB account for a better overview, it says they cannot accept other institutions due to PSD2.

Can’t even make a basic transfer
Repeatedly get errors like “A technical error occurred” or “An error occurred. Please try again later”. Absolutely useless!

Auslandüberweisungen in die USA sind im Gegensatz zur alten APP immer noch nicht möglich.
Die APP ist für iPhone und weniger für iPad geeignet und ist leider nur im Hochformat zu nutzen.

Can’t get the app to load
The old app doesn’t work any longer. It sent me to this new app and now it doesn’t load onto my phone.
Touch ID does not work
19 out of 20 times Touch ID does not work... I’m currently not able to login in to my account will keep trying but next time I log in i will have to disable this option...

Not only does login and password come by snail mail, when you try to log they give you an option to trust the device via BestSign or verify each time you log in. Turns out my Face ID is not good enough, for BestSign they need to send you another login per snail mail. Ok fine, so let’s use the other option. Turns out there is no option and you’re forced to wait for your letter in the mail. Slow, convoluted, and illusion of choice: Germany

Fortunately I found this before the month end when I have to pay all those bills. But surely this is not a very satisfied update should be.
Nearly unusable
A total mess. I can’t see what I spent, or on what. The credit card interface has been broken for years. There’s a ton of useless chrome and junk in the UI and it’s nearly impossible to find anything. And 2/3 of the app is in a language that I don’t speak. It barely functions as a banking app.
Mediocre at best
Compared to all other banking app DB is so clunky. Most information is static in pdf, no real time information. No verifying purchases. I don’t know why they keep using the weird phototan for verification instead of just verify with sms or email, you can’t customize your pins. Just an outdated, useless app.
Hire some good designers, maybe with experience in banking apps.

Erases login information regularly
I really hate this app sometimes. It has some good features (the photo transfer feature OCR works ridiculously well), but the stupid thing frequently forgets my login information. When this happens, I have to go to my password manager and manually copy over my branch number, account number, sub-account number, and pin since the login fields aren't recognized by the password manager. The login fields don't allow pasting, and if you make a mistake in your account number and try to correct it after a failed login, hitting backspace deletes the entire account number so you have to start over from memory (which just failed you). Why oh why does this stupid app keep forgetting my login details???
Slow German Banking
This app makes you launch a second app to verify all transfers. You also need to scan a physical piece of paper to log in…and you need that same piece of paper if you get a new phone. Last century technology.

I am sure that the Bank in 21st century shouldn’t look like this.
1. I need to remember 15 numbers just to log in!!!!!! You are definitely trying to irritate me as much as possible.
2. How can I contact support team besides phone???? I was scrolling my app up and down to find any contact information. But you want me to contact you only if I am happy!!! I am a Marketing Manager so I know this trick. For you to know in Modern banks you can contact them via messenger bot along with email and hundreds of other methods.
3. Next. You make me enter 15 numbers to identify me by Telephone. Really? Have you heard about voice recognition?!?!
4. Next. Your app can perform just one function - money transfer?! So for you to know, in modern bank your can transfer money by phone number, tax ID or other stuff of beneficiary not only IBAN. Honestly that is the time in my life I have to add 16 numbers of IBAN for transaction.
And I could open more accounts just via the app. And hundreds of other functions a bank app can do, but not yours!!!
4. Any good bank app allows to change daily transactions limits. Where can I do it in your app???
So I totally disappointed. You guys are totally outdated.
And of course I will attract Apple Review Team to your manipulation with reviews!

Missing many features
I’m a US expat. System is safe and reliable just has so few features. Cannot see pending monthly payments for one. Perhaps its my US banks offer so much lore detail.
