Got this app to book a ferry from Ireland to Wales, seemed pretty easy to use. Got to the Stena ferry in Dublin harbor, they informed us that there is a new policy-ETA-UK- which direct ferries+stena, provide zero info about and we could not board until info was submitted, could take days. Bottom line, we couldn’t board, direct ferries+stena will not refund the $180, not even partially, plus, you can only contact them via chat bot, which keeps apologizing, but blames the traveller.

My credit card was accepted 4 times(2x Amex & 2x Visa) by my CC companies, but each time the website site said it was not accepted. Then I tried again ( booking for 2 Seniors) and it said there was no tickets available for the trip. Now I tried again ( the sixth time) it was available, but no senior price offerings and it finally was accepted - but at a higher price. DO NOT USE THEIR BOOKING SERVICE!!!
Rips you off
DON’T use this agency. Buy your tickets at official sites. They charge you twice more than the official sites if you are booking in advance. I unfortunately found it out a minute too late and made request to cancel 5 min after I paid, which was in fact 20 minutes before this site even confirmed my reservation, and this dishonest agency charged me “non refundable fee” as much as almost one third of the actual ferry ticket price (40 USD). I feel robbed. Will NEVER recommend this agency.

Very dishonest firm
Whatever you do never book through direct ferries. Very dishonest firm. Tried to change my date and they told me nothing was available the next day. But called travel agent who was able to find booking the next day. Then called them and asked for refund which i had paid extra for (ability to cancel) and they only offered partial refund of price even booking was more than a month in advance. Dishonest twice.
Incorrect booking and no customer support
We booked a ticket for 3 passengers and a vehicle. At the port we realized that our vehicle was not given a ticket despite us paying for it and the app confirming we had a vehicle ticket. We were not allowed to board with the car. There is no way to contact customer service. The chat bot in the app couldn’t help us. We’re stranded because we have passenger tickets but not one for our car and no car tickets are available for 5 days

The application automatically changes dates
I purchased the tickets to Capri and back on the same day. After picking my dates the application automatically adds one month to the return date. The customer’s email address does not work. The application does not let me change the return ticket. The website claims to return to let you change the date but doesn’t Change the date. It’s a total rip off for me

I think this is my first negative review ever? But I have to hand it to them, Direct Ferry has earned it 😂
I would recommend all family, friends, and acquaintances to never do business with this company.
Directferry messed up our family’s booking so thoroughly we ended up having to purchase new tickets directly with the ferry company. I have to travel all the time. Hundreds of flights, ferries, hotels, and car rentals across dozens of countries. This is the first time I have EVER dealt with a 3rd party travel agency where I had to do that. I was amazed at how dysfunctional the company and support process was.
Learn from our mistake 🙏
Ps Direct Ferry, we still had a GREAT vacation. So, despite your best efforts, you failed in everything - even in getting our spirits down. Party on Wayne.

Worst service and costly
They have the worst customer service ever. No number to contact, in case urgency you won’t get any help through app or emails. Their online price are 30% higher than the on spot price, even if you buy 2-3 days early.
My car broke down on the way to ferry, so i tried to call them but there’s no contact number, i emailed them but an automated reply said it will be reviewed in 1-2 days which was too late. I tried to chat in the app but it directed me to the app to make any change but app didn’t allow. I didn’t get any refund or amendment since no way to contact them. Anyway at the jetty i had to buy the tickets again, it was 30% cheaper than the prices that i paid 2 days earlier. After 1 day they replied on email and i asked for any kind of refund but they said it’s not possible. I will not use this app or their website ever again. Thanks

E-tickets not available though this app
You can use this app to compare times and rates, but it doesn’t have e-tickets. If you book directly through the website of your preferred ferry you can receive an e-ticket. Otherwise you will have to obtain your ticket from the ticket office before boarding.

Very confusing they sent me to do confirmation and I do not understand how to do it. I put my confirmation number in my last name my husband last name nothing works.

Always glitches
This app seems to have a new glitch every time I use it. Now it’s saying “add at least one adult passenger” when I have 2 adults showing. Also, if the app is going to let you save passenger details, why do I have to enter them again before purchase?
Expensive inefficiency
Tried to order tickets for a ferry, waited two days with complete radio silence, then got an email saying the ferry was full. Went to the ferry line website, ordered return tickets for the exact same route at a cheaper rate. At least they didn’t charge me for the tickets they couldn’t get me, so I got a better price, but come on.
Bad Middleman
Service cancelled our booking without notifying us after we paid to transfer our tickets to another day. It also didn’t provide any information on the provided ticket about where to go in the port, the vessel we were taking, the specific port. Incredibly unhelpful.
Doesn’t give you ticket
App works fine, but you should probably just book through the ferry you are using as the app doesn’t give you the actual ticket, and you have to figure it out when you get to the port
Crash All The Time
This app crashes every time I try to enter my vehicle information. Horrible. I deleted it & just use the computer
