I absolutely love the show selection on this app, but it crashes constantly! I have tried to update it and re-install, but the problem continues! Please fix this issue!

Crooks.
Will not let you use a lightning cable to watch on your tv. Only streaming service that doesn’t. Comes on for 5 seconds then shuts off. So I canceled, and these thieves are billing me again for next month. So now I have to dispute it. Have the emails that show I canceled, yet these crooks I billing me again. Streaming services are out of control. They figure you have so many they can get away with stealing from you.
Glitchy App - Poor Engineering
While I love the show that play on discovery+ I am annoyed their engineers and developers haven’t fixed the issue when an episode ends and tries to load the next one automatically. It just sits there and spins and I have to manually go to the next episode. This happens on my AppleTV and it makes no sense because all other streaming platforms do not have this glitch happening.
Annoying
Closed captions constantly come on and now I can’t shut them off which is highly distracting. It also turns my tv up to max volume upon starting a show. App on the TV constantly logs out and to log back in you have to type in everything like it’s 2018. Really annoying since I pay for this app!
Always Freezing/Lagging
I’ve tried this app throughout the years and every time I try it, I am yet again disappointed. It is ALWAYS lagging or freezing. Thankfully, it was only $6.
Forces you to pay for ad free
I can’t rewind or it will make me watch the ad I already watched all over again
Please stop playing the same ad on repeat!
The app itself works fine, but it seems as if they try to drive people to the point of insanity by playing the same one of two ads on repeat. Literally, the same 2 ads 6 times in a row at every commercial break. I suppose it’s their way of trying to get people to pay for the ad free version? It’s absolutely obnoxious and truthfully, makes me want to use a different streaming service that doesn’t do that. Also, the longer you watch, the longer and more frequent the ad breaks are, which is annoying.
No Play Button
If you pause your show and then try to go back in to watch just a few minutes later, the play button won’t appear. You have to close the show and then reopen it to keep watching. Please fix!!
Can’t watch discovery + on my iPhone 7

Unable Sign in to App
I absolutely love the shows but the app made me cancel my subscription. I can only watch on my phone despite reaching out to and following what customer recommended. Fix this please!

This app has me stuck in a subscription with absolutely no way to cancel it! No cancel on my tv, xbox or the phone app. Went to the web site. No cancel option. No phone number to call !! Wth!! Grrr

It’s good to see that Discovery invests its money in review bots rather than good programming. You’ve lost my business after the Paramount takeover.

Update (04-02-2026)
Not sure if the recent update messed up the video quality, but I had to delete the app and I need to stream it on my Safari browser instead to get a better quality video but Discovery Plus won't let me and forcing me to redownload the app which now has bad video quality. I should be able to watch it on my Safari browser or the discovery app on my iPad depending on which one gives me the best picture quality. Please give me that choice. Video quality worse than SD quality now. Disappointed.
Update (03-14-2026) Discovery+ has the best video quality out of all my streaming apps. Please don't change the video quality if y'all merge with Netflix because their video quality is awful all the time.

Other on demand channels I enjoy on there are American Heroes Channel, Science Channel, Animal Planet, Planet Earth and Discovery Life, etc. Love all the documentaries and nature programs also. Looking forward to more great content.

Can’t use the app now on my iPad.
I have an older iPad that I use for streaming. Your app now requires iOS 16.4 or newer, which my iPad doesn’t accommodate. I’ve attempted to watch through a browser, but it keeps telling me to go to the app. So now I’m paying for a service I can’t use on my primary device.
Can’t watch!
The newest update will no longer let me watch on my (not old) iPad. I will have to cancel my subscription. Thanks for nothing Discovery+

We have Apple TV, scratch that, we have four Apple TVs. The only app that ever has problems loading and constantly gives a white circle is discovery. It's the one I watch the most, but after three shows it acts like it can't load. I have to get out of the app and then get back in to keep watching. Didn't used to be this way, but why would I pay $14 a month for an app that doesn't work? We have 7 other streaming channels and NONE of them have this problem. We pay for extremely high end WiFi (teen gamers) and I know for sure it isn't our equipment. Again - the only app that has this problem.

I got this through Prime. It doesn’t give you all access.
It’s the only app that puts locks on series or seasons.
I thought it was Prime and the parental controls so I checked it out, I even had Prime Customer Service help but nope still certain things are locked. So I downloaded the app off of Apple and the locks are there also.

I’m deleting them and will look elsewhere for the things I like.

Bring back the good shows
I watch HGTV a lot, but so sick of House Hunters, Zillow Gone Wild and many more. Please bring back the good shows before I give up and cancel.
Shows currently on cable are released on app AFTER the season finale
I loved Discovery+ when the app first launched because we, as paying customers were able to see our favorite shows before they aired on cable.
However, as time went on it has now shifted to seeing our shows the day after it premieres on cable. There are also certain shows such as 90 Day Fiancé Pillow Talk that doesn’t get released on the app until the season finale airs on cable which ends up being months later.
It makes you wonder what’s the point of having the app if you can still see it on cable firsthand?

Love the shoes but..
It’s the same horrible ai commercials over and over again. Like how many ads do I have to watch? I pay a subscription its ridiculous
