I downloaded the app and it literally won’t let me get past the welcome page. It just freezes

This app is not good. I love Finacial audit and I finally decided to try the app. It doesn’t look anything like advertised and all of the metrics are buggy it gave me transactions that aren’t in any of my connected bank accounts. Support for this app is useless
So I downloaded this app to see how it worked and gave the three day trial a go. However after digging around I found that another financial service I use has a built in budget feature that’s simple enough to use. Whenever I went to unsubscribe from the plan before I get charged they sent an email to an address that I recognize, but did not list when subscribing and did not use it in any way when making the account. In short I can’t login to change my subscription since it’s being sent to an email that I don’t have access to. This email was only listed under my personal contact in my address book (it has since been updated) but it isn’t used on my Apple ID or anything else I used for this app.
I emailed support to try and resolve this issue, but they haven’t responded. It’s been three days, so now I guess I get to contact my credit card company to try and prevent them charging me…

Great App "with exceptions"
I think that Caleb and his team have done a fantastic job with this app. It looks and works so much better than the original version I tried when it was still the Simpler Budget app. So why the one star?
Simply, I cannot connect my Apple Card to this app, which is something I can do with the premium version of their competitor Monarch (which costs the same annually).
This may not be a dealbreaker for some, but for my wife and I it is. We use our Apple Card basically as our debit card. Everything except out mortgage routes through it, and then we just pay it off once or twice a month, tracking all our expenses from there because it tracks it more accurately than my bank statements. That said, with it unable to connect to Dollarwise, the app just confuses it as debt payments, which isn't what it is.
It makes the app impossible to track my budget on, and while I think the app itself is great, and I want to switch and support the Hammer team, this is a deal breaker for me. I hope to check back in another year as my Monarch annual renews, and find that integration added.

New Version Disappointing
The app was great until this latest update. Now it’s no longer a great budgeting tool. It wasn’t broke but they tried to fix it. I wish I could get my money back.
Doesn’t work.
I log in at least once a week to see if anything is new. Not really, it still asks me to categorize the same transactions I’ve already categorized for months. The app is just broken. It’s not worth the money. You get nothing from this but a headache. It’s telling me I’m safe to spend $900 when I have over 10k debt and nothing shows my total debt broken down. Really bad concept. I feel like they focused on the swipe right/swipe left concept for categorizing and forgot the point of the app.

Looks cool, but…
Not easy to use at all. Doesn’t create a budget. I sent multiple emails to their “Support” and got no replies. I sent an email to the SAME support email address to cancel, and they canceled/refunded my membership no problem. Crazy to think they didn’t want to explain their super difficult app, so they didn’t respond…but I ask to cancel, and they respond within a day to let me know it’s refunded and I should see the reversal in 8-10 days. TO THE EXACT SAME EMAIL ADDRESS!!! The app is not worth it whatsoever. Awful customer support.

Still buggy and not functional
The app still doesn’t update and sync to your accounts correctly even after advertised those problems were fixed. Really disappointing to spend money on a subscription that is unusable.

Disappointed
I could probably roast Caleb on how bad of an impression his app gave me. I was even fully ready to subscribe for a whole year. Couldn’t even sync up my banking details within 48 hours of signing up for the free trial. I tried synching multiple times over, the app keeps sending me through the tutorial mode and asks me for my bank details again. Even after confirming I had synched all of my data. Very sad. I was ready to leave Monarch to give this one a shot. Still needs work.
What support?
I did not receive the promised email 1 day before my trial ended and ended up getting charged. I’ve been trying to get a hold of support since January 7th. So far I’ve heard nothing. I can’t log in and am still getting charged. 4 months of getting charged and am $39.96 poorer. I’ve tried contacting Dollarwise support, Hammer Media support, messaging on social media, as well as responding to posts on Facebook and YouTube. I’ve not heard anything.
Not connecting to banks
Was advertised with 30 day free trial but only ends up being 3 days. I downloaded it regardless to try it out and upping sigimg in I connected to all my banks and then ended set up only to find out banks didn’t connect. Tried to reconnect banks and still no connection made. Banks showed they connected but couldn’t set anything up further than that without my banks.

Terrible to set up
This app has been a horrible experience to set up so far. I started adding many accounts, no problem. But there’s a few that just don’t seem to want to connect and I’m using the same login info that I used when I set them up on Credit Karma. The following day I was logged out of my account and could not log back in, so I tried to change my password and now there is an error that the verification service is down. I’ve attempted multiple times to contact customer service about logging back in, and have since been charged the yearly premium even though I cannot use this app. Bad experience all around.

Connect a bank with your profile is impossible. This product is bogus.
Not Usable
I created an account over a month ago, they did the revamp and it won’t allow me to sign in. Keeps trying to make me sign up for another trial and another 9.99 monthly subscription that I already get charged! Haven’t been able to get into the app for 3 weeks now.
Straight up doesn’t work
I wanted to like it but bank syncing doesn’t work at all. Cancelled trail. How do they seriously expect me to pay if I can’t even use the app.
Worst app ever used
This app is awful don’t waste your time on it took over a hour to set accounts up to it then it kept not registering one of my accounts. So if you use multiple accounts banks this app is worthless. It’s not worth downloading it doesn’t work, the UI is awful/ convoluted/ and buggy.

As much as I love Caleb, simply declaring you’ve built the best budgeting app ever does not make it so. This app started crashing on me before I could connect my second account, at which point I was directed to the subscription payment screen. Excellent error handling if ever there were. I’m afraid that the constant promotion will eventually come across as detached from reality and the consumer, and will damage the brand. And speaking of promotion, the cookbook is never going away.
Onboarding Is Impossible
I tried multiple times to make an account and it kept failing and couldn’t process. Deleted and reinstalled the app, and it let me get to the one time passcode from email this time. After successfully typing in the code, the continue button prompt was taking me nowhere. Deleted snd reinstalled again, same problem. Fix your app if you want new users to be able to get past the create and account screen.
Don’t buy
Same terrible service as before but they managed to mess the subscription service up to and charged me $90 after confirming it was cancelled and are now refusing to even send a transaction ID or anything to prove that they have refunded. Terrible service do not buy or even trust them to do the right thing.

Gave it a second chance, got a worse experience
Tried the app long time ago but didn’t come any accounts because i didn’t trust the account syncing app the used. Gave it a second chance, but couldn’t even login. When I tried to reset my password, they kept sending the same number to my email. When you press resend code, it should send you a new code. When you don’t, it’s a massive security risk. I have even less trust in the app now. No cookbook is going to convince me to freely give my accounts away to potential hackers.
NEEDS WORK
I’ve been a fan of financial audit on and off, I can get behind the message but sometimes he’s just a jerk, but I guess that’s the point. My problem with this app though is the most basic things do not work. I had signed up for the app before it changed and I wasn’t satisfied then. Now I decided to give it another chance, I tried to login into my existing account and rest my password. When I got a reset code sent to my email it sent me the same code 3 times and I entered the number and it wouldn’t even let me press the continue button after entering the code and the keyboard is completely blocking the button. I can’t even login into my account, the most basic step that I’ve never had issues with this on another app like ever. If I can’t even try to reset my password without issues, then I’m not very hopeful this app will be worth having. So far definitely not a fan of any of it.
App just does not work
I have tried several times, I really wanted it to work especially because I am a huge fan of the show, but unfortunately it just does not work at all. Will say it’s having trouble connecting to my accounts for chase and capital one. I am connected to several different accounts with one bank, but I only need to focus on two of them but it won’t let me unselect the other accounts. Very disappointing I really wanted it to work.

Needs Work
I wanted to like this app but it needs a lot of work. The features were nice for the limited time my info was synched, however, it kept unlinking from my account and prompting to link again. Today the app signed me out, apparently I forgot my password that’s my bad but the forgot password feature wouldn’t let me continue after entering the code sent to my email. Luckily I already had an email that links to manage my subscription and I cancelled before the free trial ended. Unfortunate because it has a lot of potential, but it’s not worth the headache.

1 star fits this app. I’ve connected all my accounts and signed up for a year. I then went to look at the app again and none of my information was present. Everything was gone. I’ve tried multiple times to fix it. It’s not working. A rip off

I cannot connect my bank account due to bugging issues. They have charged my card as the free trial is over and it has not been resolved in almost one this is crazy and very frustrating!

Awful app that didn’t start bugging until after they got paid. If you invest at all avoid at all cost. Repeated problems pop up from DCA stocks. Keeps putting investments in weird categories with a tough interface to deal with.

Caleb, PLEASE get back with your team. This app is unacceptable, cannot even connect accounts or do anything despite paying for an ANNUAL subscription.
This app is NOT aligned with your standards and messaging. You’d be better putting it dark until it’s truly ready. Do it right and ensure it lives up to your standards, this is not a good impression of your otherwise great brand… Folks are paying money and not getting a functioning product, that’s not a Caleb Hammer standard.

Wanted to love this
I really wanted to love this after coming from Rocket Money and YNAB but it is just really buggy and not up to par of other apps. I had high hopes as I love Caleb and wanted to support but this app just isn’t it. Freezes consistently, had errors when adding accounts that actually were successfully added. Navigation is super clunky and organizing payments is inaccurate/displayed oddly. I’ll be going back to my spreadsheet and am really glad I didn’t pay for a year of this.
Do Not Recommend
Started the free trial and didn’t care for the app. Went to cancel my trial/subscription before it charged - literally can’t cancel it. There’s “manage subscription” in settings but it won’t let me click on it, therefore, I can’t cancel the subscription. I’ve emailed their “support” multiple times and have not heard back. Definitely disappointing considering I like to watch Financial Audit and was excited for the relaunch of Dollarwise. Will be sticking to the OG Ramsey app EveryDollar!!

I’m stuck in an endless loop of putting in my email > creating password > putting in my email. tried deleting and re-installing, but still having the same issue.

Honestly really like the app, however it’s not updating my account or purchases at all and it’s been over a week. So pretty much useless.

This app is extremely buggy and the support email does not offer any actual type of help. I showed that my app looks nothing like what is advertised and I was told my app looks good??? It does not at all reflect what is advertised and does not provide a function that my banking app doesnt provide. To charge people for this service feels like a scam.

Couldn't even get past the account creation
My fiance and I enjoy the Financial Audit and we decided to try out the budgeting app. But I couldn't even get past the account creation. It was stuck in a loop between enter my email and create a password.
Literally couldn’t even make an account…
Downloaded the app, booted it up and tried to make an account with my email. Input my email and made myself a password, and it just kept bringing me back to the start where I had to re-input my email, etc. Super buggy.
Wtf
I just downloaded it and I can’t even get logged in. Repeated request for email and password then “Failure to send verification code. Please try again.” Honestly with all the bragging and pride(completely understandable) thought it would be easy to get going.
wish i could use the app
i’ve been a fan of Caleb Hammer for a while now and i was excited to use the app. i paid the money to use the bank syncing, made my account, and tried to link my bank. it won’t work despite the log in info working in my actual bank app. i’ve spent the last few weeks sending emails and looking for follow up but they haven’t responded past their automated response. there’s no other way to get ahold of the support team so i’ve wasted a lot of time and money. don’t download this if you don’t use a big name bank.
