It’s sad to say because this should be an easy five stars for them but over the last few months, the quality of the app has declined so much that it has almost become unusable. Sometimes the app won’t even let me dash anymore because it’s so glitchy. It’s a mess and support half the time has no interest in helping me. Really sad because I love it so much and recommended it to quite a few people but it’s going downhill fast.
EDIT: just tried to get assistance from a rep at DoorDash and they just kept ignoring what I was saying, copying and pasting generic messages, they didn’t understand how the app works, and then they just ended the chat randomly without helping me at all. I will not be working for them anymore.

hate the app!
I get there are like rush hours. I also live in a small town. One night i gained $38 within and hour n a half. soldi profit. previous nights. I’ve been getting no orders. it phases my dashing screen. Not only that it kicks me out of my dashing schedule. i’ve also had a time and set schedule. It would remove it from my schedule and say, claim a spot when i set it up literally 7 hrs before hand while working. it been about one in a half weeks since i’ve started. so i under stand i have to be consistent. had to vent and everyone have a great day.

My brother legit ordered Burger King and it came out to like set and stone 30.00 dollars for his order + tip. we had no idea it was his order until I dropped it off and guess what his question was “ how much yall make from this order” legit we made I think 8.00 to 10.00 dollar on the order.
So I’m confused just because you provide the plat form and the app. Doesn’t means you are able to pocket the money just because you own the app that’s actually a felony lawsuit as you. App keeps glitching
Orders disappear after accepting them, won’t let me end dash, still getting offers while on pause so my acceptance rate drops, and “customer support” is a joke that doesn’t help at all with anything
New Software Developer
Door Dash Needs to Hire a New Software Developer, to redo their whole Dasher App, because it sucks, has too many problems, and too many updates!
Over saturated - Too many dashers
Honestly, DoorDash USED to be great for side money back in the day. Unfortunately these days everyone wants to be a dasher, & DoorDash doesn’t properly control the amount of Dashers they have in certain areas. Therefore, they let EVERYONE dash at the same time & that leaves you sitting out there waiting forever to get an order. Unfortunately, I drive around for over an hour sometimes & maybe only get 1 order that is somewhere between $6-$10. That’s less than minimum wage in my area. Definitely not worth it when we pay almost $6 a gal. for gas. DoorDash definitely needs to improve on updates with their pay for orders & regulating the amount of Dashers that they have on the road.

Door dash should start paying more for orders to drivers and not giving drivers orders 15 miles to drive for 7 dollars .With gas going sky high they should make some difference .drivers are not slaves

Dallas texas this app is crazy wack it could be 2 to 3 hours with no order you will burn more gas going from hotspot to hotspot with not one order the support doesn’t know too much and I could barely understand them let alone they dont understand me lol i give this app one star trying to go amazon gas spiked but order delivery doesn’t na im passing on this one

Just don’t
Don’t even start. The idea of making money doing something as simple as driving to people and giving them food seems crazy- but the base pay sucks. DoorDash barely pays you anything at all. You only make money when there’s a promo going on, and those don’t last long. Gas is 5+ a gallon, this is pretty much only good for putting barely anything more in your tank than what you had before. I am a platinum dasher, and I still make almost no money. If you want to drive, get an actual delivery job not this it’s a scam. Not to even mention how much you wear down your car, and if you decline low paying offers you get a lower acceptance rate. I am out 5+ hours a night and am lucky if I make 20 more than what I had to spend on gas. It’s so tiring just don’t do it. They need to up their base pay and take away acceptance rate.
New Update Woes
they continuously change the layout and rating systems based on markers and now it has gutted the number of offers you get at even a Platinum level. $5 a week to “offset” gas prices increase is also a slap in the face

It’s a scam operation-there are no orders. And if they do assign orders, they pay next to nothing. All in all, it’s a total rip-off.

The update killed the app atleast for me. Practically unusable and when it is the orders are little to none and terrible at that. Something has to change…
App and company review
The app is slow and frequently crashes. The most recent update to the look and layout of the app suck. Now on to the company…. The “VIP Dasher Support” is not real. I receive the same support every time I call. They read a script, and don’t listen to your explanation. In my experience, every bit of “support” I’ve received has been them reading the very policy I brought up, verbatim. I have been promised multiple times that my issue has been “escalated” and I will receive a follow up in 24-48hours. (It’s been two and a half weeks, and I have called multiple times to no avail). Not to mention the low ball offers that I receive (even as a platinum dasher) that count against you if you decline them. If the order is paying UNDER $3 I believe there should be a different policy in place, it is not fair that I am being negatively affected for refusing an order that costs me more to take, than I would make.
So in conclusion : Pay sucks, support sucks, and the app sucks.

Unfair
So I tried signing up as a dasher, did everything right, but they rejected my identity the first try, so I’m like, ok I’m just gonna make another account and try my identity again. Now I can’t sign up at all, when I try to do an appeal to get my account up, they refuse it and just say I can’t sign up. This is unfair. They use ai instead of human and the ai messes it up, prevents me from making money. You need to fix it, I hope you do better in the future bro

I was a door dasher in 2023. I had a 4.7 out of 5 star review, and i always did what I could for orders and customers.
I was falsely accused of a crime (tampering with a vehicle) by a group of people and arrested and DoorDash deactivated my account. After having over a year long, dragged out thing, losing DoorDash, having my name slandered, paying back my other 2 employees for bailing me out (because they knew I didn’t do the crime I was with them that day) $2500, having to go to court to represent myself because public defenders office denied me then appointed me one anyway. It came to be that I wasn’t the guy… WHO KNEW RIGHT?! DoorDash still won’t reactivate your account. Checkr background service they use can’t be logged into, they don’t store records and there is no support number to talk to a real person. Let that sink in…. SOMEONE CAN ACCUSE YOU OF A CRIME AND HAVE YOU ARRESTED, YOU WILL LOSE YOUR DASHER JOB, AND THERE IS NO HELP IN GETTING IT BACK.
Want to know what the icing on the cake is? I work at a hospital. Full time. As a PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER. Even as a first responder for a major area hospital licensed through county, and have passed stringent FEDERAL, STATE, and LOCAL background checks.

I got paid 10 bucks less than my state’s minimum wage and it costed me more money that I made

Now when I scan a product my phone stays on the barcode and won’t let it go through and then I have to back out of it and scan something else an hit I have correct items getting frustrated with it.
Terrible update
The new app design on the latest update is terrible. Harder to operate app. The hotspots now do not auto refresh on the map so you constantly have to keep going to the menu and then go back to the map screen to refresh it so that the hotspots refresh. If you don’t you’ll end up setting in a place that is no longer a hotspot waiting for orders that won’t come. Every single time the app is updated it goes downhill !!

Updates are awful
The most recent updates to the map while dashing make it harder to tell which hotspots are available and closest. While navigating to each location, the map does not stay open. It times out and goes to my lock screen while I’m in the middle of traveling to pick up and deliver. It means I have to watch my phone and tap the screen making it more distracting while driving. It’s unsafe.
The app no longer functions
I can’t even complete one delivery anymore this has gotten ridiculous. I have to scan every single grocery bag and it doesn’t even freaking WORK!!! What a joke I could make more money pan handling then this app offers as a payout. Complete joke
Upside down orders galore!
Was at Platinum level for a very long time. Using my platinum pass to get‘decent’ offers. It’s not happening. DD is sending me the worst offers ever. Last order, which i declined, $3.25 for a shop & deliver and 6 mile trip. F that!
Needs to do better
I tried DoorDash and it was OK. It’s just not for me. I get sick of leaving one county to drive to another county you don’t let this pick our locations where we would like to receive DoorDash’s from you. Don’t like to keep us in the location that we’re currently in that we might like to stay in your GPS is horrible extremely horrible think I am going to have to try a different app with delivering food and items to people because DoorDash is not it for me the money that you’re making isn’t adding up to how much you’re spending out in gas I mean I drove over 15 miles to deliver an order and only made seven dollars so that seven dollars it’s not equal enough to what I just used in gas so it’s just like I’m giving away money so no, I’ll choose a different app to work with DoorDash. Need to do better.

For two days now, I’ve barely been getting orders-about one order every three hours. And I have Platinum status.
They deactivated
They deactivated people cuz they wouldn’t wait a long time for food. Now you can cancel after 5 min. How’s that fair to people who were deactivated cuz they wouldn’t wait 30 min for 5$? Not fair.
New system keeps you under 110 for 8 hours of work
This new system they have doesn’t give you much on earnings especially if you driving for 8 hours straight. I made 106 dollars for an 8 hour shift as a platinum dasher which is extremely disappointing and discouraging. Cash on delivery is also disappointing because those are not technically earnings. Thats a deduction from your earnings from the day. Dashing is gonna suck now with limited earnings and cash not being an actual earning. Maybe its time i try something else because this just sucks

Wrongfully Deactivated account
They deactivated my account after using it on different phone because my main one broke and after multiple times trying to clear up and explain issues they pretty much say there’s nothing the can do and wait and make another appeal, so ok I did. What did they do reject it again saying based on the information I told them they have decided to keep my account deactivated mind you I was gold status about to be platinum and accepted almost every order. Just letting you guys know door dash don’t care about their drivers
Always has issues
Nonstop, technical issues with no fixes. Always full areas of Dashers but won’t also has issues when areas are not full. Poorly made app!
7K worth of deliveries for DD
They seem to be in a constant state of Beta testing for their app. Random changes that will end up costing you missed $ opportunities.

There’s always some issue with this app. If it isn’t one thing it’s another and it’s always costing me my time/money. Need a pin for drop off, you type in the pin but the app doesn’t allow you to complete the order even after you typed it in then you have to contact support and wait for them. So annoying.

I’ve been dashing for a few years now and it seems like this app is only getting worse and worse. They’re rating system is very unfair and heavily affects the number of offers you get. Their deadlines are unrealistic and may cause drivers to drive unsafely in order to maintain their rating.

Fix the app it’s horrible. The last two updates have been the worst ever. STOP CHANGING INTERFACE AND JUST PAY US MORE

The navigation is awful and will take up more of your time during dashes. You’re better off copying addresses and using a different navigation application.

FIX THE APP
App is crashing, not loading offers, multiple dashers have reported app is not working at all today.
They stole another catering order from me
I signed up for a $44 catering order this morning. Went back to set a schedule around it and it was gone. This is the third time that I have signed up for a catering order and DoorDash mysteriously takes it away. This is getting pretty old and I’m getting pretty tired of it.
I hate this app it’s the worst ever i swear.
They suspended my account for no apparent reason. This app suck very bad i very dislike it
Customer Support Is Trash
Agents can help with scheduling then agents are unable to help with scheduling which one is it? I’m tired of being lied to and having my time wasted so many opportunities gone because I’m unable to set a simple schedule in my city
