Since September 2025, I have been complaining about the Double Hit app locking up (telling me my internet connection has been lost, or just locking up, and having to reboot my phone to specifically get back into THIS APP).
I have finally got this MESS narrowed down to EVERY WEDNESDAY. I don’t know WHAT Ghost Studio is doing on WEDNESDAYS, but, they either need to DO IT RIGHT, or STOP DOING IT ALTOGETHER. This has been EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. Every WEDNESDAY. I have to reboot my phone up to half a dozen times a day SPECIFICALLY TO GET BACK INTO THE DOUBLE HIT APP.

Disappointed
I like many of the reviewers here are very disappointed with how the app is going. It has not been this challenging to play this app for the last several years until recently. I have never had to contact the in-app help-desk as much as I have this year since I’ve had it downloaded. If it’s not bugs and glitches, it’s freezing, it’s as soon as I purchase a pack of coins they are already gone. The bonus spins winnings won’t tally up in the total and everything I have won is lost. They also keep changing the minimum bet to participate in the 3-day clash specials it is always something. The only response here lately is it’s my fault something with my connection, something with my storage, something with WiFi 5G or 4G, rarely it’s an issue on them or compensation provided. Since it’s me I’ll play this app a bit less or none at all soon while playing the other app that I’m not having any issues with and take my money over there as well! Beyond upset and disappointed!!!

All of the slot machine games are way too tight and the only way that you can play is if you purchase coins from them and then you get nothing in return. Before Ghosts Studios took over this was a fun game to play and now it’s just a money hungry game. I use to love playing this game and I had fun but for the last couple of months I cannot win anything in any of these slot machine games because they are so tight and not paying off at all! Unless you have a lot of money to spend on coins that are worthless I would suggest that you find another game that pays off by playing and winning as you play!

I’ve played this app for a minimum of 15 years. In the last 6 months I’ve purchased the 550% increase at times 4 times in a week with a minimum purchase of $60 each time. The return I’ve had has been frustrating. Just in the last few days I’ve purchased 4 times with an average amount of $30-$60 each time with no return. I know I’ll hear the same “it’s the odds of the game blah blah blah,” but you guys are making hands over fist in purchases. Give us loyal patrons a break please. Thank you.

This is a fun game until you keep spending real money for fake coins that quickly disappear! Winning is too few and far between, moreover since they sold out to the new owners or changed the company’s name. It’s a shame the developer isn’t listening to what the reviews are saying. Only hope is more people read the reviews first to save themselves money later. The algorithms are definitely written to keep you spending more money if you want to play.

Worst game they’ve introduced in months, the other new games are fine, but hot chili riches isn’t worth the investment of personal funds to play. 5 minutes of wealth depletion with no fun regardless of your monetary investment. Other games on the app can provide entertainment with less of loss of investment. First time I refuse to play for clovers or pass incentives.

Some can’t be playing the same app I am. Saving to Facebook was a disaster for me. Lost a lot of credits and all my levels. I had 6200 levels, now I have none. Had to start all over again and I seriously can play about 30 minutes for 100.00. So needless to say after many many tries, I’ll hang this up. Way too expensive for me.

Why choose this app?
With so many slot apps available to play, it seems smarter for the developer of this one to make it competitive. Small payouts and slippery wording in the pop-up box is not a great way to keep your users loyal. If you want to just lose your cash lightening fast and never get a decent payout or play for days to hit the bonus and it boots you out of the system-then you are in the right spot. At least the other apps let you win knowing you’re more likely to reinvest the money before it takes it all back. That’s gambling. Can’t even get a dopamine rush or adrenaline boost from the intermittent rewards and that’s what makes us addicted- I mean loyal. This developer is not playing the long game. They are greedy and rigged out to make a fast dollar. No thanks! There’s way better slot apps out there. Don’t waste your time and money.

The only thing that makes the game passable is it helps kill some boredom. While there are other casino slot games that are smoother looking, most of those are pure money grabs where they keep the chip count low to get you to spend money. You may have a little more luck here, but I wouldn't hold my breathe too long because they'll still slam in game buys down your throat every chance they get. If I click I am not interested, why would you ask if I'm sure after saying no? It's tacky on their part. Maybe dial back the sales pitch and I'd consider spending money for enjoyment of the game.

If you don’t pay you won’t play. Great for a day at the airport. Not so great if you think you will be able to win next week. Wins won’t post full amount, wheels will skip a win and you will never get a multiplier above 2x.
