Almost unplayable due to crashes

I am stuck on only level 3 and can‘t proceed. Halfway through the level, the controls and my character disappear. All I can do is to completely reset the level and start again.
This has been brought to your attention over a year ago already, however no update since then. Is this game abandoned?
