1) I contacted Epson on how to scan multiple photos with one scan to be saved as individual files with my new xp4200 which I was able to do with my old xp330. I was told that the 4200 can not do this. However after playing around I was able to figure out how to do this. However dispit having the same settings sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.

The application does not convert pages to print correctly to the printer. It is either too small or too large.

I find it very confusing trying to print with the ET-2800 printer iOS device. You people at Epson really need to get with the program to fix this.

Can't change defaults
The "auto correct photo" option is automatically on, and there's no way to change the default to off. In previous app versions, I could at least choose plain paper, add my numerous photos to print (default for plain paper was OFF), then change the paper type to premium and the setting stayed off. But the newest app version changed so that all paper types default to on. Now I have no option but to add my photos and manually edit each one, turning the setting off within each photo's edit screen. I know the app is designed for simplicity, but please consider adding the option of a default OFF for this setting, either in the current job or in the paper setting or the general controls. (I know, if it were simple we could do it ourselves.) I don't know about other users, but this would save me a boatload of time and frustration.

Worst printers ever!!!
My first Epson printer kept going dysfunctional, I called the company and they said it was a problem with the printer. I shipped it back and they sent me a new one.. The new one would not stay connected to my Internet. I called the company, They said it was a problem with my brand new Internet. Whatever. I got my third Epson printer it took hours to set up, I had to delete and re-download their apps several times during set up. Now that it is.” up and running” the function is spotty at best.
I called the customer service number which said Epson is no longer giving Customer Service over the phone. They referred me to the app or the website. I don’t know of any other printer (or device of any kind! )that has been so absolutely ridiculously hard to set up and use.

Every time we go to use this printer, it can’t be found then we have to go into the app and find it there or previous HP printers were so easy you just print that’s all all I wanna do is print and you can’t do it with this printer, you have to go jumping through hoops before you can print a single page if you can even find the printer in your app or on your computer. And only maybe after about 50 or 60 pages of printing it did a really poor job of printing and then we had to run the thing through some cleaning cycles to get it to print well again. I don’t care for the price of HP Ink but at least I can print for a few years without any issues

I bought the Epson smart panel XP 4205. WOW! Am I ever sorry I did. This printer seemed to set up easily until I tried to use it. Everything is set up exactly right but this thing is so confusing. Should be as simple as “ print” it’s NOT.
The app and the screen on the printer don’t match well at all. There are multiple steps to a simple print job and none of it is spelled out so you are going from your computer or phone to the printer and back again repeatedly trying to figure out what the simple task of “ print” requires. Troubleshooting was a complete waste of time. BEWARE: BUY SOMETHING ELSE!

Don't choose this brand. It won't be of any help to you.
I always get printing errors when I print files with my computer. When I use the mobile app to print, it always shows that the machine is busy. The printer I had ten years ago didn't have so many complex functions and updates, but its performance was better than this brand. This brand of machine is not worth a penny. Stay away from it and save your money.
The worst
I got this printer because a friend told me that the ink set up was better than replacing ink cartridges. I was never able to connect it to my home Wi-Fi despite entering the correct password times. The app sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t for my print jobs. Just very unreliable in general.

this app is super simple but in a bad way, you can’t really adjust the sizing or make sure it’s at 100% without scaling because i’m someone who prints out patterns for sewing and this app is the only way i can print from my phone (i don’t have a computer, and got the printer solely for being able to print wirelessly) so the scaling just ends up being off and messing up the whole sewing projects. another thing i don’t like is that i have the setting set to “print from rear tray” in the settings of the app but i still need to press the buttons on the printer to print from the rear tray which is just redundant if i had already made that the setting on the app and you HAVE to push a few buttons/notifications on the printer before it starts printing. matter of fact, i keep getting notified if i want to use “rear tray” for printing but i have a 4800, there’s no other tray where i can load paper to print so idk why i keep having to clear that i want it to print from the only tray it can print from lol
Frustrated
The machine copies great but trying to use the print remotely is very frustrating…..even more frustrating is trying to find a nickname so this will post…you know I didn’t want to spend the time I. The first place writing a review and now I’m taking more time trying to find a nickname
Must be near the printer
Used to be that I could be anywhere in my home and be able to print from my phone-even with the printer in standby mode. Since we got the ET 2803 and the smart app, I have to go to the printer and wake it up in order to print.
There must be a work around, but I haven’t found it.

My IPhone did not work with Epson for several months until a new update then it works -sometimes! It does not recognize and print emails or texts with special colors. Originally it worked fine.
