As the title says, it’s an ad spamming app masquerading as a puzzle game. For instance, guess the secret word (out of hundreds of possibilities) but you only get 8 tries! Not to worry, get pummeled with some ads for extra tries. Disable ads (only in between games)? That’ll be $10, packaged with unnecessary features to trick you into believing you’re getting some value. Oh, and they track your data, without an in-app toggle off switch. Should change the name of the game to“Everyday Ads,” deleted!

I don’t know why but the regular crossword does not show up as an option. Maybe I’m just missing something?

Big let down
Played this game for about 40 days. Had the regular ads between some games. All of a sudden the ads kept popping up every 20 seconds. Couldn’t even play the game.
Stop ad pop ups
Not surprised to see MANY people getting mad about these incessant ad loops and opening browser or other apps when you explicitly click on the X to close! DO NOT let the developer trick you into thinking they care or have no clue this is happening, you can see the reviews yourself for this issue that is NOT getting fixed!

Taking away VIP benefits then LYING!
Was one of the first on this app years ago we had FREE try again because we PAID for it! I could try over and over before now because the are a SHADY MONEY HUNGRY company they are going to rip off their supporters!! I want a REFUND!!!!
Ads are out of control
The ads are to the point that it ruined the enjoyment of the game. Ads for Temu that, when you click on the prompt to close the ad, repeatedly opens your browser and a tab to Temu. Deleted after a few months of enjoyable play.
Forces you to watch ads
Every time you complete a puzzle, it plays an ad. If you try to turn off wifi and cell service, it tells you that the app can’t function without an internet connection, literally forcing you to watch an ad every. Single. Time. Immediately deleted the app when I realized this.
Too much for the coins and requires WiFi to play
When you fail a level, it goes to the “You Can Still Win!” Screen, with two options: paying 400 coins or watching an ad. But, that is too much, because I have like 200-300 coins and I pay mostly on hints on games. 2, IT REQUIRES WIFI TO PLAY, can you please make it offline and fun for everyone in the future? I have other games that can be played offline but not this. Also, answer in English, plz.

Playing the daily Hashtag May 19 2026, it’s opening ads in the web browser automatically every 20 seconds, with me not even touching the screen, how can this be legal? The ads in a part of the screen is ok, but now it’s a whole new level of ads abuse
Porn ads - just awful!
The game was great and I was really enjoying it, but the required ads were just awful. Impure and bordering on pornographic. Please do better. Not everyone wants that filth.

I’m sick of the ads for this game. “Oh no! I don’t know a dangerous animal in the ocean that starts with ‘Je’!” It’s jellyfish by the way. You don’t have to market your game through old imbeciles that believe an octopus is going to murder everybody that swims near it. And do’nt even get me STARTED on the ads *in* the game. I can’t even type one word before a Lemon8 ad pops up on my screen. I understand that in order to have a free game, ads are necessary. But let’s get one thing straight- There are more ads in one game of ‘Secret word’ then there are pages in the Holy Bible. So save yourself, stay away from this game.

Way too many ads being forced down our throats… every other things is an ad for one reason or anothr. I don’t even look at them. So sick of them I want to puke every time one comes on from anywhere anytime. Over it. Locks up now
For the last few days, the app locks up during play on my iPad. No error message, just locks up. I’ve been playing daily for a while with no problem. Maybe an update gone wrong? Please fix it!
Update- The developer wants a screenshot. I already said there was no error message. Screenshot of a locked up screen will not be helpful since it’s different every time. Apple auto-responses don’t make sense sometimes. I am not hopeful this will be fixed.

The game says it four plus but i don’t see how four year olds could get the answers to any of the questions as even my mum can’t get some.

An adblocker doesn’t work, by the way.
The title explains it pretty well. Having an adblocker or something similar just makes it so that you can’t launch the game at all, as it keeps telling you there’s some sort of network issue (I didn’t bother to read it, I’m afraid), and retrying does nothing.
So if you were hoping to try and bypass the ads somehow, it will not work. Don’t bother with this game please.

Yep, that’s right. I took my rating down from 4 to 1. Why??? Ads ads ads. I’ve gone through and read some of the reviews. I’ve seen your answers about how ads are needed. Ok I actually understand that. I choose to play the free version because it’s not in my budget to pay for ads free. I understand my choice means ads and I don’t mind them to earn more coins or in between games HOWEVER in the last week I am ads as I’m playing! It interrupted my train of thought playing Cladder and today 8 EIGHT ads just popped out of nowhere as I’m trying to figure out today’s Tangled. This is TOO much it’s like EVERY minute. Maybe you’ll hope this will make me buy the non-free version but in fact it’s doing because I’m this close to deleting the app. My rate will not higher until you do something about this and if within two weeks, nothing is done bye-bye; do better
I can’t believe the greed.
Posted a review a bit ago about the outrageous 700% price increases to their coins, was asked to “politely change my review:)” after they “were going to look into the pricing changes”, when in reality the prices have not come back down, the ads have gotten worse and it’s just slowly becoming not enjoyable anymore. 400 days straight of doing all these puzzles, and it’s just getting worse.
Rip off for iPhone users
There are a million ads. I don’t mind the ads if you want hints and things, but it’s also after every time you win a round. I even was willing to pay to have the ads removed. However, I found out for Android users it is a ONE time purchase. For IPhone users, it is an ongoing monthly subscription. Why?! Why do I have to pay $9.99 every month while my spouse pays $15.00 one time? What a rip off!

Stopped working!! Only partially loads!
The single best experience I’ve had on a phone application, until it was spoiled by deception.
Been playing these everyday puzzles for a month or so now almost religiously, alone and with friends, specifically the game “secret word.” I bought the $15 vip pass to unlock unlimited games, but as it turns out the games aren’t so unlimited.
The fun of secret word is that the secret word can be any word between sometimes thousands in a category and you get to narrow it down to one answer, that is the secret word. After a while playing it i noticed a couple answers looked familiar and i figured that if the answer is randomly generated, it’s not at all improbable that you’ll eventually get some repeats, but that’s not the case.
A friend I played with also bought the vip pass and would send me some screenshots so we could brainstorm together possible answers, and long story short, our unlimited games lined up in a way that proved my suspicions that we were in a loop. Playing the same few games (around 200 by my calculations) over and over again in the same order.
Needless to say I was devastated. Life is already so hard and full of disappointment which means there are few things i can turn to for solitude. Something that once brought me such joy and inspired such togetherness in my community was a fraud. I have been deceived and betrayed on such an unnecessary level that I can’t even look at the app anymore.
I mean they didn’t even bother hiding their laziness by shuffling the loop each time. I’ve played secret word 900 times and must have gone through the loop 2-3 times before I noticed the puzzles getting easier and easier.
Considering there’s probably about 10-15 different categories (just a guess) and every one of them except for the periodic table of elements already has thousands of possible answers programmed in them, i should realistically have a few more years of playing the game at the same rate before i saw repeats.
I would play again if this gets changed and I am shown proof of the change, but the character that the developer(s) have shown by their attempted deception thus far may indicate that this necessary change may never happen.
It was however a great month or so before I discovered the lies. Perhaps the most joy and happiness I will ever experience from a phone application in my life, the real shame is that it didn’t gave to end. That’s where the extra star comes from.

I paid actual money for the VIP status - but with the latest update, I no longer get extra tries to get the puzzles right (and that new puzzle is ridiculous - the connections are frequently obtuse and having to have a word exactly the right length is dumb) … don’t appreciate your changing the rules on me.
