Unable to update on my old IPad
I have used this app daily for at least 7 years and am unable to update now as I am required to do to view my Budget.
It states I must. I don’t have the latest operating system due to lack of memory. My grandchildren’s pictures will not be deleted to allow that upgrade. I do not need or want all the new Ramsey tips so hadn’t upgraded previously and was able to use the old version. I have been fully debt free for years and am sorry I can’t continue to utilize the simple old form and free version of Every Dollar. I listen to the Ramsey show daily and wanted to continue using my budget and referring to older months and years. Not a good change for long time listeners.

I used to use this app…
For a company that stresses using money wisely, I’m surprised that your app can no longer be used with older iPhones. My iPhone 8 model is hardware-incompatible with iOS 17 and iOS 18, which I guess means you think I need to waste money on a new phone in order to keep using your app.

Let me enter in this item real quick… what is this survey? How do I get out of it? … I can’t? A loop until I answer? What if I don’t want to tell you what my hopes and dreams are so that they can be marketed back to me? What Happened?
Oh no! What happened? In the latest update, I can’t type in my income received. Can’t get the numbers to type in accurately. I’m punching them on my phone but it’s only recognizing some numbers and not letting me get past a $50 increment. It’s so odd. I've used this app to budget for a while now and never had any issues. Please fix. 🙏

Not a streamlined experience
The whole point of budgeting at your fingertips is convenience and quick access. I am usually using this when I need to quickly input my expenses and move on. Half the time I’m having to log back in because it’s booted me out and now it tries to make me take this personalize your experience survey before I can even log in. We are researching other options at this point.

Time to go
Latest update caused over 100 duplicate transactions that I am unwilling to go back and fix. I’m done with the lazy testing before deploying updates. Also, I was forced to answer questions before getting to my budget…literally no way to opt out. This app has lost its way. Deleting and moving on after 10 years.

Updating my review of your recent Updates
1) I would rather NOT have “Merchant” pre-filled in with an editable “category”-instead of leaving it blank for a manual fill-in
2) PLEASE revert/UPDATE EVERYDOLLAR TO-Taping the top of the app TO BRING the user back to the top-the INCOME level of the app. All other apps will do it, EVERYDOLLAR USED TO DO IT, but not in your latest surge of updates! :-(
3) My bad, could have been a fluke when updating, please disregard!- Now ALL THE BOTTOM TABS are GONE! 😮🙄😵‍💫

The new update ruined the remaining to spend category. Now if you go over budget by say $500, it will tell you that you have $500 left to spend, not that you are $500 over

Update sucks
Before the update it could track income and spending. Now it won’t track any income and doesn’t accurately reflect my budget anymore. It just shows what’s spent making it look like I have way less than what’s actually there.
It’s not as helpful if I can’t also track what’s coming into my budget so I can actually get a real picture of my money.

Constant Issues
I’ve been dealing with constant issues on this app for 5 months. It’s a shame because it used to work so well and now it is unusable. Ongoing connection issues and the biggest challenge is duplicate transactions which are extremely time consuming to go sort through. All customer support tells you to do is switch to Plaid, then back to Mastercard Connect, then back to Plaid.

Background App Refresh….
I’ve submitted several feature requests on the need for background app refresh. I have 19 transactions to allocate and do not see that I have them via a badge notification until I OPEN THE APP?!
Badges are the life blood of adoption in this distracting world. Let’s go!!

Reconnecting to bank EVERYTIME
We have a subscription to the app and have to reconnect it every time we open the app. This app makes it easier to track finances but it’s not worth it having to reconnect it every time.

Account syncing is broken
Some banks and accounts are not supported. When some banks are supported but experience significantly or frequent issues, the support team blame the bank and suggest switching banks. The app frequently pulls in duplicate transactions that have to be cleaned up every day. The app uses Plaid which doesn’t allow individual connections, such as mfa for me and mfa for my spouse for the same bank. If a phone number is removed from one bank that syncs through plaid, it removes the phone number for all banks that have synced through plaid. Line items cannot be moved between categories and if you’ve created a line item within one category you cannot recreate it in another category, even after deleting the first.

New update is trash
The app is currently being updated. Unfortunately they are releasing the app updates as they do them. Instead of making sure they work first with their beta testers. Just this week 5/22-29/26 I have had three separate issues come up. The only response from the help desk, is they will look into it and get back to me.
Fix your app first before inconveniencing your subscribers.

Doesn’t connect to banks. Premium is a scam
I’ve been using this app for literally years (and the biggest advocate) but the last like year or so, it won’t connect to my primary bank. Support just blames my bank and tells me to insert transactions manually “in the meantime” but then when it randomly does connect to my bank, I have all these duplicate transactions - and it’s been going on too long. I tried to get a refund but support tried to sell me on the other “features” of premium which are not helpful to me in any way. The main point of premium is the automatic updated transactions. They also won’t refund me because it was purchased through Apple. Y’all really need to figure this out and stop advertising something you can’t do.

Disappointed today
Opened app today and there had been an update which now does not allow me to get to the budget without answering a set of questions and there is no way to bypass. I paid for the app to create and track a monthly budget, not to answer your survey in order to do this.

I’ve been using this app for years. Love it but whatever update just happened now the app is forcing me to fill out a questionnaire before I can continue to use it. NO. There’s no need for me to tell you all my financial goals and more about my overall finances. The budget tool worked just fine without having to provide that. Add an option to bypass this or sadly, this will be the end of our multi-year relationship.

Online Experience is Better than the App
This app has limited functionality vs. the online experience. Don’t buy membership through Apple Store as that will limit your support from Ramsey Solutions directly. Buy online to get best options, sales, and support.
Update: As I continue to use it because I paid for it, I find so many features that are not user friendly. The savings tracker has math behind it that I can’t make any sense of. Makes me want to start from scratch with a balance update each month because the built-in accounting leads to balances that are off, even if my account is directly linked. So frustrating.

User friendly, but slow
This app is one of the more user friendly and intuitive budget apps out there. However, transactions can take days to load into the app, which can make it extremely hard to track how much money is actually currently left in the budget. This basically results in the entire budget being three or four days behind (more, if transactions are recorded on a weekend). I end up having to use separate applications and notes to keep track of current expenses and budgets, and if I’m going to do that…. Then why have the dang app anyway? This would be a 5/5 app if they could just get the transactions to load into their system even within 24 hours. I hope they make these changes moving forward, because with the way the app is now, I honestly can’t recommended it to anyone.
