I HATE this app. They are SO shady and deceitful. It told me I had a 7 day free trial, and then $77.99/year. I accepted, and they immediately charged me!! I immediately canceled the subscription and closed the app to make sure I didn’t use the subscription at all. I tried to dispute through Apple and they declined it. Do not accept a free trial, it’s a lie and they’ll take your $ right away and charge you for an entire YEAR!
take away the watermark!
really rude to add a watermark to people using the free version. like i didn’t use any payed features or edits, so why tf is there a watermark. forgive me, but this is extremely greedy and rude. not a fan! will just edit with other apps!! literally only using the lighting tools anyways.
Doesn’t show in subscription
Somehow this app has figured out how to bypass the basic cancel subscription option through setting and App Store. Would not recommend doing the free trial. Impossible to cancel.
The new update
This new update sucks. I didn’t pay almost $90 for the year package for this . Get the quick edit back ! So much easier and made the photo editing process /quality so much better . Will not repurchase until it’s back. It was the makeup , hair and background , the easy 3 options. Make it easy again. This is so freakin disappointing

Where the $9.99
Long-time user on a new iCloud account; the app is hiding the $9.99 monthly plan and only showing expensive weekly/yearly options. Support hasn't helped.

This app used to be free for soo many years.
I uninstalled it for a few & came back to a brand new app with aggressive membership plans spamming the screen every second you blink. It’s no longer worth it. 👎🏽 Thanks for what you used to be.

Can’t Redownload
I have had this app for 5 years. Soon as I get a new, with the same log in info, it says no subscription found! Help center is NO help and it’s like they are trying to trick me into paying AGAIN!
Be Warned
The app will offer a free trial, it will then offer you an extension to that free trial under the guise that it will notify you to cancel before the subscription will be charged. It will never do that though. You will never get notified and then you will be charged almost 80$ and guess what? Apple will deny your refund request. This is apparently a huge problem that others have (look on Reddit/google). The app itself says I have to go through Apple for the refund and Apple did their own “investigation” (sure they did) and refuse to refund it. Seems like Apple gets some of the fees when the app charges you. Just don’t do it

Used to use this app all the time, now you can’t do literally anything without paying an obnoxiously expensive subscription ($40/month unless you buy a year, insane!) ended up uninstalling after having this app for nearly 10 yrs

Massive Downgrade
Latest update took away a ton of features and functionality. Not sure why I'd pay for the app at this point and will likely cancel if they don't restore what they took away.

I used to have this app like 2-3 years ago, I deleted it to make up for some more storage. I just re-downloaded it and now I have to pay a subscription fee. Literally a couple years ago this was completely free. Spend your money on a better app.
Ruined the whole app
They recently changed every single photo filter on the app and got rid of every good filter and replaced it with horrible filters that are trash. Go back to the original filters !!! That’s the only reason I have the app !
Can’t Cancel & Errors contacting support
There is no clear way to cancel this app. When you select cancel it provides you directions back to the subscription screen, and you cannot actually select your planner canceled from there. When submitting a help ticket if you check the box that you are requesting a subscription help or to cancel or a refund, you will receive an error, saying something went wrong. However, if you uncheck that box, the support ticket will through.

SCAM $82 “FREE TRIAL”
Shocked this app is still on the Apple App Store for how many people have complained online about the scam. It said I signed up for a 7 day free trial and charged me $82.90 the same exact day. Do not waste your time and money with this app.

How to cancel…?
Tried “free” try for a few minutes and quickly decided this is not for me but the Your subscription tab only allows you to subscribe not actually cancel. It seems you need to get out of app and goto your phone settings, search for subscriptions, find the apple and try to cancel… now it says your subscription is expiring… I better not get charged

You guys charged me monthly (I didn’t actually want this) and I thought “what the heck I might as well give it a try since it’s impossible to request a refund” but it’s acting as if I didn’t pay and I still have the free version. There was a “free trial for 1 week” stated on their site so I decided to try it however the following week they charged me for the free trial week.

I cancelled during the free trial and my card has been charged twice since. When I contacted them they said I didn’t cancel. The headache is not worth the free trial.

Filters!
Return the old filters!!!! Before the update, the filters were fine, so what else can I suggest? Return to the previous state ("golden hour", "no filter", etc.

I used this app for one day with a free trial and then cancelled my subscription, which appears clearly in my Apple account. I was then charged 3 days later. I contacted Facetune and didn’t receive any response for months. The response was a generic something like, “sorry we were busy” with no actual help with my issue. Today I was charged AGAIN. When I contacted Facetune again, this time I did get a response and was told I didn’t cancel via the website so I will receive no refund for the nearly $90 I was charged!
Terrible app, offensive photos
This app was very difficult to use and added a body to the headshot I uploaded that was at least 100 pounds heavier than my actual body. This was so offensive and out of line.

Not Worth the Price
Facetune is a powerful app for editing photos, and I do think it works really well for what it does. That said, the price is absolutely absurd. They advertise a seven-day free trial, but in reality, you’re charged immediately. There’s no actual free trial. It feels misleading and like a complete scam. I’d highly recommend looking at other apps that are more transparent and reasonably priced.
