A significant portion of the catalog feels completely unoptimized. I hope your engineering and QA teams see this and address these persistent issues:
1. CORE PLATFORM & PLAYER BUGS
* Initial Resolution Bug: The very first video played after launching the app universally defaults to a highly degraded, low resolution. The only fix is a tedious workaround: wait 5 seconds, exit playback, go to the "Continue Watching" row, and select "Start Over." It resets every time the app is reopened.
* Sync Failures: Playback progress and watch states do not sync reliably between devices. Finished episodes constantly revert to "in progress" when scrolling through a season, and partially watched shows frequently fail to appear on the Watchlist entirely.
* Website Search Lag: On the web interface, the search bar aggressively auto-searches after a brief 2-second pause while typing, forcing page refreshes that take 20-30 seconds to reload. Please replace this auto-trigger with a manual search button.

Uninterrupted continuous playback of media I own would be nice

With a library of well over 500 HDX/4K movies plus additional TV shows I have been a member of VUDU since its Walmart beginnings. Once upon a time vudu was the best and the one and only real way to own movies digitally forever and hopefully my enjoyment of this shows in my numbers but this has since change. Now with Amazon and Apple and every other service offering streaming and movie library with their own deals and such vudu has significantly fell behind as my go to which makes me sad. Their deals always feel misleading because it often doesn’t include the 4K UHD version of the movie. You then later have to buy the entire movie again to get the 4K version even though it should have been the only option in the first place at this point. It’s 2026 for crying out loud. Obviously your customers want the best. On top of this vudu has slacked on updates and ease of use. Massive libraries are clunky and unsortable. Multiple movie tiles repeat scattered throughout the list in varying quality’s which adds to confusion and stupidity. Want die hard in HDX. Too bad, this is the SD version. Keep looking. Do a search for die hard. Find 100 other names but not the one you own in the best quality possible. This means you can never actually find the title you’re looking for. I know I own it. It was right here in my list but suddenly I’m blind which I don’t understand. The list is forever frozen in time in the order in which you bought the movies. I usually have a rough idea of this timeframe but sometimes they are just not there. The movie art is also always changing and not for the best. I don’t know why they do this other than to add more overhead costs and thus pass those increased costs on to us. Just keep the movie art the same that it was when we bought it so it’s easier to find when searching for a specific title. One time I’m looking for a title with a red background and the next time it’s blue and the name of the movie isnt on it. How am I supposed to recognize what I’m looking for? Additionally clean up and simplify the whole user experience and make 4K the standard and maybe actually offer some good deals on these shows and movies while maybe earning some reward points or something for your loyal customers. Amazon gives digital bucks for choosing slow shipping that you can then use to buy brand new movies for free. I’ve bought over 500 movies on vudu. Just wish it felt like they actually cared about us a little bit more.

App has serious bugs that need to be addressed. Can’t even log in or create a new account even though this is my first time using the app. Just says “Login Failed” regardless of the email used or if I reset the password and try again.

I used to love this app as I am a huge movie buff. The problem is, for some reason it keeps logging me out once in a while and then when I go to login, it keeps saying it’s the wrong password and blah blah blah. Whenever an app starts doing that I just delete it. I’m not dealing with it. It’s a shame.I used to really enjoy it.

With the number of times this app has changed ownership I know it’s only a matter of time before the $3800 worth of movies I purchased will no longer be accessible. My iPad Pro 12.9” 1st gen is already on their unsupported list despite having better hardware than many current devices. I can no longer access my movies on this device.
Fortunately Amazon (only a matter of time before the same is true) and another app Movies Anytime somehow give me access to the majority of my titles on vudu- errr fandango- errr whatever it’s called now. How this came to be would be interesting to know, but the knowledge certainly won’t prevent the apparent inevitability that I don’t own any of the $3800 of titles I purchased according to these digital streaming companies.
The future is here and it’s worse than we could ever have imagined. I know that the only person who care is myself. That is until all of you realize the same.

Every bundle I have ever bought will not play on any device except for my TV and Fandango will not do anything about it. I do not suggest this app choose a different one.

I transferred the app to my new iPad. It plays for 10 minutes then crashes. I uninstalled, then reinstalled and it’s still happening.
False Advertising
$5.00 Deals is NOT real. When I enter into the $5.00 category, none of the 300 movies are $5.00. Instead, they are all full price. I am taking legal action against Fandango for this. VUDU used to have much more dignity thank this.

IF I COULD GIVE THEM A ZERO I WOULD. I HAVE AN OLDER TABLET THAT IS NO LONGER SUPPORTED BY THE LATEST IOS. FANDANGO UPDATED THERE APP AND IT DOES NOT WORK WITH MY VERSION OF THE IOS. I started a movie, less then thirty minutes in i had 12 ads, first time it happened i was okay with it, because it said very few ads. I thought it would only be the beginning and at the end. but if you hate ads this isn’t the app for you. movie selection is broad, also the app works very well. Even though no other app we try has a problem and the WiFi is working properly, Fandango formerly known as Vudu constantly stops our movie to render and ruin the experience. Can't even watch the movie we paid to own. But movies on a different app and save yourself the headache!
Vudu was better
I’ve had this app for years. This is maybe the fourth ownership takeover I’ve seen as a customer. Ever since Fandango took over the app has been glitchy and unreliable. I can rarely get more than 15 minutes without an interruption for buffering. No it isn’t our internet provider.

I deleted this app because I got tired of having to keep pressing play in between every single advertisement. I get that you are trying to open bandwidth by kicking the sleeping people but this was too much for those of us that are awake and just want to watch our movie.
Worst streaming app
Keeps pausing mid movie over and over. Can’t watch anything without constant stops. The wifi has strong connection and every other streaming service we have can play movies and shows with no issues or stops. It’s ridiculous and a waste of money every time we buy a movie here.

This app crashes more than a drunk 16-year old behind the wheel of a 1976 Corvette. Different devices, different times, different brands - this app shows up about as consistently as hemorrhoids post pregnancy. After they acquired VUDU, it’s been horrendous. FIX YOUR APP ITS EMBARRASSING
Worst App now that not VUDU
I hope they get some legal issues for shrinking the video size on the screen. I have a great number of SD movies that played perfectly on my 75” TV in full width screen. Now, it cuts off 20-30% on the sides. I started using MoviesAnywhere to get around this. WISH IT WAS STILL VUDU!
Captions Removed on Apple TV
The last update on the Apple TV, about a month ago, removed captions and they still haven’t fixed it. Reported to support but it was useless since they kept directing me to app settings that didn’t exist.
voiceover controls/blind assistance
as a blind person using this app, it’s voice over controls are ridiculously unuseful. You cannot fast forward rewind or use any sort of means of controlling movie position with this app. The only thing you can do with your voice on this app is to pause the movie or resume the movie forget fast forwarding forget rewinding forget it going to a certain track position if you talk to do so

Randomly says network issue when I try to watch the next episode of a show I’ve been watching, when I pull it up on my husband’s phone and account it works.

This app is aggravating
Never saves my progress so I’m constantly trying to figure out what episode I’m on. Constantly loses “service” so I have to close out and reopen and find where I was at. I can’t remove things off my wish list. I like that I can watch shows I can’t watch anywhere else but this app is more aggravating than it’s worth

I don't understand why downloading has to be so difficult its so miserable
Downloading is a nightmare, which makes it hard to wanna buy more movies and TV shows especially when a show has 100 episode. You literally have to press download 100 times twice once to download and wants to confirm the resolution 200 button presses to download a 100 episode series. Catch up with the times. Add the feature to download a season or a series at the time and I'll give you five stars and maybe even buy some more shelves I don't buy them anymore because it's too frustrating to bring them with me with no Internet. And that's just the one percent of the time that it actually doesn't give you error messages thousand times there's no delete all there's no download all trying to download a bunch of off-line movies makes me wanna blow my brains out so it makes me question. If I had any choice I’d never use is again
This app or probably the company is another common story about a company all about making money but not caring at all about the customer. I’ve had this app for I don’t know how long but I’m finally tired of it. From the iOS app to the tv app. Every single version is garbage. You can have blazing fast internet on fiber and you’ll still get errors playing movies, every single time. It comes and goes but it always comes back. It’s never been fixed. Other streaming services seem to have no issues but fandango/vudu just won’t fix it. I’m gunna assume they cut cost on servers so they make more money. If I didn’t have thousands of dollars worth of movies on their platform I’d never use it. Maybe I’ll start slowly migrating to another because I don’t see vudu being here for the long haul.

The app has terrible playback issues. It loses connection way too often to be ignored. It’s at least a couple times each movie. Which requires restarting the app to continue.
Worst streaming app ever
I really miss Google play movies and vudu this app is awful. I keep getting an error message after every other episode of any show that I try to stream.

Most of my downloads wont play that have been stored on my phone. Its not tge phone!!! Its tge appp.

Refuses to honor video quality setting
The app frequently chokes on HDX video quality, even though the other streaming apps on my TV have no issue. That alone would be truly no problem, if it just let me downgrade to SD quality-I really don’t care about the resolution, I just want to avoid the pausing & re-buffering. However, the app thinks it’s smart, and automatically re-upgrades to HDX, in spite of my setting it to SD. So then I’m back to pausing to pausing and re-buffering. Unbelievably frustrating; it amounts to denial of service. I would normally cancel any subscription service for this kind of thing, but based on the library model, all the money is sunk already. Dear Dev Manager: no matter how smart you are, you never want to override preferences that a user just set two seconds ago. It’s just arrogant product design, and in this case it’s also denial of service. Please fix!! Let me know when fixed and I’ll happily remove my negative review, thank you!

App just does not work on iPhones
This app simply just does not work on iPhones.
If you want to try and watch a 90 minute movie it will crash 3-4 times, and within that sometimes it will just lose track of where you were when it crashed so you have to scrub all the way back to where you were.
Used to be a good app that has obviously been bought by a company that just does not care and is looking to make as much money out of it for as little work as possible before they inevitably completely ruin and abandon it.

It went from Great to bad to great then went bad again
Let’s see, formally Vudu streaming and used to be an all around family app. Then suddenly it went crazy and had nothing but *Adult X rated “ in the Free section … then it was sold to fandango where it finally was Great for about 2 years… then it’s going Bad again back to “adult content” that’s thrown in your face no matter what you click. Having over 300 digital movies in my library and seeing this is disturbing and disgusting. Maybe fandango is selling it to google or someone since it’s falling apart again
