The Fidelity app is frequently in a semi broken state. Sometimes it can’t accurately show current cash totals. Today it shows stock I own, but all of the position data and cost basis data are not rendering. Also, the design outdated, buying and selling screens or tedious, and they should just copy the Robinhood design. Limit orders are also badly designed: the total cost of the limit order is hidden under the page fold which makes it difficult to determine how many shares to purchase.

Locked Account
I bought a stock one day later it locked my account i have a youth investment account and it literally just locked it for no reason
Credit card account no longer showing in app
My fidelity rewards visa credit card account no longer shows up under my accounts in the app as of a few days ago.
I have to go to the fidelityrewards site just to make credit card payments and check my balance which is far above and beyond beyond inconvenient.
If this is not fixed soon it’s a big enough reason for me to move banks.

Face ID issue

No reason given of why I can’t rollover money to my IRA
Trying to rollover money to my rollover IRA from a previous employer and was told from Fidelity representative my account is unable to receive funds and is closed. What? No reason given. I assume because I’m Caucasian? I’ve had the account for over 10 years. Know I will let everyone know how bad Fidelity is and get them to take their funds out of F’in Fidelity.

Fidelity management services is pretty much what you would expect - same thing as every other retirement management service. They ‘have the best proprietary’ algorithms, blah blah. The buy the same stocks as every other MOMO supporter and they are most definitely NOT interested in anyone else’s ideas/methods!! They do not hedge with equities; somehow hedging with stocks/ETFs/etc is ‘trying to time the market’ (but they probably hold Gold.) Anywho, if you want someone to charge you a fee to buy and hold index funds, Fidelity is for you! Party with Fidelity like it’s 1999!
WHY DID THE UI CHANGE
What UX Designer or PM push for this new update? My portfolio positions on mobile is so awful, bring back the horizontal scrolling TABLE!! Way too much text squeezed into a mobile screen. In some cases it’s okay to scroll horizontally and this is that case!
Release notes
Just put the release notes in the release notes section of the app, it's not that hard and nobody wants to go to open your app and dig to find out what the new changes are. I just want to quickly read them here and then move on. Your app gets a rating of zero in my book if you can't post a simple list of changes here.

Stock Watch list is limited
The stock watchlist does not take more than 50 names
The stock watch list cannot show or sort on the ADX, Stochastic or RSI or other values. There is no way to leave notes on the purchased security or the stock. The best thing is how the options table looks and works.

Don’t recommend
Sucks so bad that it won’t let me transfer money to even start. No matter how many routing and account numbers I have. Nothing will work. Trash experience.
Many upgrades recently, still clunky and primitive
Several screens/views still do not update in real time. Quick trades are impossible because the response time of the app is slow. On top of this, they “force sell” options positions that are in close to expiry even before I can sell them- this should be illegal, but they do it anyway.
Direct deposit doest work
They cancel my visa now I’m in Ecuador and can’t use my money because the cancel my card no notice Orr nothing of what’s going on I’m moving my money to Shwab
Can’t link bank account
I’ve attempted several times to link my bank account. Twice it says it was done successfully but it did not connect.

Even newer update: the same garbage gets worse. Now portfolio view shows nothing the the Symbols. Absolute garage. And why does the Fidelity Board not fire their CIO?

Now tapping on stocks do not open the trade app commonly. Want to place that order fast? Forget it. The app also will log you out while you’re working in it. The Activity feature on accounts only displays 30 days of records. Might as well turn off the notifications. The app icon will show a dozen notifications; go into the app and find none or one. The dividend issuance flag no longer actually displays any dividend issue notifications. -- This use to be a great app. It did what one needed and worked perfectly. Now this app is release over and over with new bugs, old bugs not fixed and full of all the stuff one would expect to be found at the website turning the app into a wonky cludge. Fidelity must do not QA on this software as the bugs are so odvious I can only conclude the programmers just dump this on the clients. In response to developers: if it continues….? Unstable
The app is unstable. The limited search for only 3 symbols that is now compounded for the first time by the symbols disappearing when the app is shut down and restarted can only be termed embarrassing for Fidelity. Often securities appear within the symbol search box that were not searched for. The streaming of total account value does not update most often than not unless the app is shut down first. These are examples. It’s difficult to believe that this just another new update in a long line of failures. 6.30.26

The process is a huge pain, trying to reset net benefits passwords, three times still doesn’t connect!!!!!
New display and fixed income is TERRIBLE
I have used the website for over one year now and it was perfectly fine. All of a sudden I turned it on the other day and they absolutely destroyed it. I can’t find anything. I am not a dumb person I have tons of degrees. They took a perfectly good website and destroyed it. I am extremely upset. This is enough to make me transfer my large account right out of Fidelity. It’s absolutely horrible. They need to return it to the way it was if it’s not broken don’t fix it. Certainly don’t break it.

Fix the mobile app refresh issues!
The app was great a couple of years ago. It pretty much sucks now. The all account info never refreshes properly. The grid view has changed to a tiered logic with the ticket symbol as the top tier. This is a very poor view when you are viewing an account with 100 plus stocks. The app also has issues with signing on. Where is the QA. The releases the past couple of years turned a great app to a huge source of frustration. It is making me consider moving to Schwab.

App Force Closes
I was super excited to open a Roth IRA through Fidelity, but every time I try to fund the account from my bank account, the app glitches and then force closed. I’ve tried multiple times and it keeps happening. I will probably go with Vanguard or Schwab if it doesn’t work in the next day or two. Super disappointing.

Too hard to use. I like the last one much better.
Poor user experience
There’s one reason I am not investing money with fidelity. Purely because there were ongoing issues trying to link my bank account. I tried on multiple different days to link my account. All different ways, and once seeming like it’s almost there it says it cannot link account, no reason as to why. Also why would it (assuming it works for some people) take multiple days to transfer funds? You’re one of the larger investment banks, and you’re severely behind with your tech? Catch up, I’m investing elsewhere.

Great Platform, But Needs Better Real-Time Updates
Fidelity has excellent research and is a platform I enjoy using, but the real-time experience needs improvement. Both the mobile app and desktop platform frequently fail to refresh positions and orders automatically. Having to manually refresh or log out and back in during market hours is unacceptable for active traders. Competitors provide much smoother real-time updates. Please improve the synchronization and refresh performance across all platforms
Needs work!
Compared to Robinhood- Fidelity app needs improvement….. I would say Robinhood is very easy to maneuver. This Fidelity app just don’t compare to it to me, but I will continue investing in Fidelity. Just need it to be more user-friendly, but I’m a caveman.Lol

I’m almost positive that the new updates are done to make it harder to trade and invest. The classic look was easy to see everything including all tax lots. I’m looking for another broker already. And will keep fidelity as a back account

Automatic reoccurring investments
They do a terrible job at this feature. Without fail, some of my automatic reoccurring trades do not even go through.
New Upgrade 4.35.1 is Horrible
Just upgraded this morning & am wishing I didn’t. The list view is way too busy! Why do designers insist on adding a bunch of busy fluff in the UI?

Stop changing the layout view
Every update changes the layout, but not in a better, more readable way. I also have to keep resetting my viewing layout preferences. Updates for the sake of updates are not helpful and each update makes me want to use the platform less. The user interface of the platform is regressing.
Also, why can’t I see all of my holdings of a single stock in all of my accounts in one place? It was an option a few updates ago, but not anymore.

App abrupt log outs
App tends to logout when performing transactions and active. It does not stay persists and trades need to be rechecked and placed and quite inconvenient not to say if market is moving fast, it makes it even worse,
