Co-op broken
Co-op sucks. You need to do co-op to get rewards but I can never find a match. It should be optional.

There are missions and tasks that require doing co op, but you will not be able to do them. No one queues, so you will be stuck in matchmaking, retrying endlessly, until you give up.

Game kept giving a wide array of errors. It was so difficult to do the story that I gave up because of constant 1007 errors.

Boring
One of the most boring Gacha games I’ve played. The pulls consist of getting weapons or collecting stamps for outfits. Stamps are given in a random amount for every 10 pulls you do. Weapons are boring incentives to play the game and the outfits are very lack luster. They do have wallpapers but those too are very lackluster. The gameplay is also dull and just lacks any real substance. Play NIKKE or Wizardry Daphne.
Soulless time suck
The game requires an additional download every time I think about playing it, and if I’m not connected to wi-fi, it just won’t work (you can’t download in the background either, so you just have to keep the app open and wait when you can get it to start). Once you’re finally in, you’re welcomed with dozens of pop-ups before you can play the game. Once you FINALLY get to gameplay, it’s repetitive, plays itself, and doesn’t fully capture the stories from the original games. Please just play the mobile port of the original FF7.

You make a mockery out of our nostalgia. Instead of appricating your customers you try to cash grab. Screw your game! Did great for exactly 14 days and then all the sudden can’t do nothing, can’t win fights even when I’m 40k above recommend! Even if I use the same team I won with before! Great cash grab. Funny thing is I’m a money player but not with any game using these tactics. Ever since you announced FF7R it’s been nothing but lies and money grabs, well keep ‘em. My love for square has died at your hands. You’ve become the toxic narc of the relationship. Goodbye

I’ve been wanting to try this game but I can’t get it to work. Been sitting looking at the Cloud, Tifa, and Barrett bios for half an hour. I close the app and reopen and it just says “connecting” forever. Guess I’ll play octopath and persona

Really bad gacha rate and very little resources given. Don’t waste time from game dev that doesn’t respect your time.
Cash grab
Coming from Square-Enix, this app is a monumental disappointment. It takes up nearly 20 GB of storage, then when you launch it, you have to spend probably 20 minutes dismissing pop-up after pop-up about all the in-app content they want you to buy. Shame on Square-Enix for putting absolutely no thought into the user experience.

A 15 yr old could write a better plot
The new event is horrible. It’s so obvious how rushed and thoughtless it’s been put together. The only appealing aspect of it is the new outfits but even the characters themselves are so out of character. It made crisis core look like good writing somehow. I’ve been playing since the conception of the game and it feels like every update gets more and more lazier. I’m trying to hold out for the anniversary but I’m so demotivated by the blatant favoritism in weaponry. This isn’t even counting the horrible UI. So convoluted and unnecessarily complicated to navigate. I have to pray my game doesn’t freeze mid scroll in the weapon inventory. Just a mess.

It’s not even letting me press start. Every time there’s an error.

I was excited to try this game out, however I can’t even play it at all. I’ve deleted and re-installed multiple times, but can’t even get past the patch screen because it just freezes and crashes.
Fix co-op
Some unlocks (like summons) are locked behind stamina spent in co-op. But I’ve spent hours trying to look for a match, in events and non events, at differing levels.. and nothing , it fails to find a match or says timed out every single time.. it’s super annoying, and if not fixed it’s enough to make me stop playing altogether.. smh..

The fact that the official servers have begged for balance and a decrease in “limited” banners, developers have done the exact opposite.

CONSTANTLY CRASHING SINCE LAST FEW GAMR UPDATES AND MUCH WORSE WITH LATEST!
I rated 1 star a week or so in because I had issues with Co-op matches. I still have issues completing some but realized you need to be in a good active guild or have active friends to help complete the less popular matches. Otherwise all players are playing the latest event and hardest matches for best rewards. Once you play for a few weeks you can easily get to that level and progress through the game with no issues. I’ve been playing for a little over a month and so far it’s probably the best free to play game out there of this type. If you like final fantasy, collecting, upgrading, and some challenges, this is a great game. Haven’t spent any money and there’s no need to, but I will watch a few ads for rewards when I want to. They are there as an option (2 a day) and you don’t have to watch any ads at all if you don’t want to.

It has the promise of like 5 great games, but it’s like they put them through a blender and then dumped a layer of gatcha over it all. I downloaded it because I wanted to play “Ever Crisis.” 5 HOURS later, I no longer remember what Ever Crisis is, and I don’t know if it is even included in this app. Apparently, there are at least 4 “entire”* FF7 video games, but it’s not like you can just select one, or switch between them. You experience them through Story Mode, which is in itself something you unlock by playing through the beginning of the FF7 remake - oh, and you do a ton of unlocking, at least a third of which is purely for the sake of claiming you unlocked something. Imagine if the very first time you gained control over Cloud you got a message saying you “unlocked mobile mode” and then you got a message informing you that Party Mode and Portrait Mode were also unlocked - meaning that you can now press X to look at the party members and check an individual’s equipment. That’s not “unlocking” anything, that’s a basic function being given to you as soon as the opportunity arises. I don’t need flashing lights and confetti because I can now see what sword I have equipped.
Now I mentioned a blender and entire* games because everything is broken up into missions - everything. Jump off the train and fight a guard? That’s a mission. Fight 3 groups of guards? That’s another mission. All missions must be selected through the menu - you can’t just continue right thgrough. So after getting back to the bar, you have to select the next “mission” which is just talking to Tifa. The next mission is talking to Barret, standing in the same room. And if during pre battle party setup you accidentally click on Enhance instead of the left arrow for the next party member which floats just beside it, you have now left story mode and have to navigate back to the mission to start it and try the pre battle setup again. Chunks of the slower parts of the story or the more open ended exploration are simply cut out and replaced with narration saying “and so they got to the reactor” or such.
In my an attempt to play the “unique story” which is Ever Crisis, I have now played through at least 10 story missions from FF7 remake, some of which are missing scenes deliberately ( or maybe FF7 remake itself cut out these parts - I hope not), and some of which are missing lines accidentally - like Reno telling the goons to not step on the flowers. They point out he stepped in them, but since he never mentioned them in the first place, we have no idea he actually cared enough to tell his men to be careful. Or maybe his line got swallowed up in one of the many many glitches I run into playing this on a 7 year old phone.
I have LITERALLY - not metaphorically - spent more time in menus and opening gifts than I have in playing the mandatory story portion in hopes of reaching the sub video game I downloaded this to play in the first place. There is no sane reason to set things up this way, and it seems like the entire point is to turn all the base games into a ginormous gacha game that you are pressured (with in game pop up’s for offers for store items) into spending real money on.
Literally the only reason I am putting up with this garbage is because, to my knowledge, it is the only possible way to play this story about young Sephiroth. Man I hope this experience improves once/if I actually unlock that

Ffvii download
I’ve tried this game on 3 separate occasions and each time I end up deleting because I get sick of watching a download screen. For real, you will spend more time downloading than playing a game. Even after full download is finished every time I log in I got to download something.

I got this game for the collaboration with NieR, but immediately regretted it, as it wouldn’t download despite my device having more than enough space for it. I even checked the compatibility, and this device should be able to run it. How can I fix this?

At this point, the problem is not just an inconvenience - it fundamentally breaks the experience. The game would be great, but it simply cannot be enjoyed or progressed if a core mission repeatedly forces a crash with no workaround. This is clearly a critical, game-blocking issue that requires an urgent fix from the development team.

Tap tap tap tap
The first time I opened this it seemed fine, it launched right into a fight, then a storyline, all good. The next time I opened it I found myself in an endless barrage of popups giving me rewards, instructions, view-only fights without explanation, and more popups, until I gave up. I remember the very first Final Fantasy and just pressing start and playing.
Support Backbone, add English
For an action RPG like this to not support the use of a game controller is simply inexcusable. Also, where is the English voice acting present in FF7 Remake? If you’re going to use the same cutscenes anyway there’s no excuse. Come on Square Enix.
