★★★★★ "Limited ability. Most of my workout routine is “traditional” weight lifting. I like to throw in occasional kettle bell training only days. Fitbod does not have that option. It doesn’t seem like it would be difficult to add in different types of workouts." - Manhattan Specual

Idk
Did not tell me I had too pay a monthly fee
Annoying Subscription Model
I download the app and fill out their little survey. Met with an unskippable page for their monthly or yearly subscription for their app. Why? Why would I sign up for your subscription if you haven’t even let me use the app yet. I don’t care that you get a free trial, it’s just a business model to prey on forgetful people. Terrible app design, terrible business model, terrible everything.
Scammed
Signed up for the “Trial” and just like every “Free Trial” subscription they make you put your credit card on file.
So I made sure after I signed up to instantly cancel my subscription and turn off “Auto renewal” to avoid any further charges. Because I just wanted to try it out compare it to others. I used it for maybe 4 days ( The trial was 7 days ) and decided it really wasn’t for me. Fast forward to present day they have been charging me $15.99 since February 1st didn’t really notice until I checked out my subscriptions and seen “.Fitbod”…. Again I instantly cancelled the subscription and turned off auto renewal. The second I signed up for the trial to avoid being charged after the trial expired.. and what do you know they charged me with or without a subscription and with or without auto renewal they will just charge you and scam you anyways

Crappie
This app has become terrible . For the second week in a row, it has signed me out, and I lost all my saved workouts. I was able to recover some of them from the days I completed them, but ever since the update, my data keeps disappearing. It’s really frustrating, especially since I pay for the service.
Quit working
The app will no longer allow me to create my own workout plan. Stalls at adding barbell bench press. Do not waste your money on a subscription.
F
It cost to much
Charged me
Didn’t subscribe. Charged me anyway
Very expensive
If you are looking for it bc you think it’s free it’s not you will download it put all your info in and set up an account then it’ll make you pay around $95 so if your not wanting to pay don’t waste your time
Charge
They charge almost 100 dollars before ask you if you want to renew the account
Unusable.
They will make you sign up first before telling you that you can’t actually use their app without paying. most of the reviews here are also botted. do yourself a favor and find another app.
Not able to reset statistics
They say if you open a support ticket they will reset your stats for you. But instead they send an email asking you to verify. When you reply to the email they ignore it and keep sending you emails asking you to verify it. Then they close the ticket due to non response.
Workouts
Not real happy with this app and getting no where contacting support
Fallen Off
Once a great app that has fallen from grace. Increasing prices and adding AI for no reason. Been using since 2020 and finally saying goodbye
Enough with the paid apps
Immediate delete the moment I’m greeted with pay now or 7 day trail. I should not need to pay for features I will not use and wasting my time hunting down non-bloated apps
Save Your $80/year
This is one of the most frustrating apps I’ve ever had. It CONTINUES to not allow you to replace an exercise OR add an exercise. Customer support will tell you to delete the app and reinstall. First of all you shouldn’t have to do that, but even that doesn’t work any longer. I can’t count how many times I’ve had to do this. There is no other method to reach anyone customer service related other than through the app and THAT function isn’t working either. I wasted $80 this year because I will refuse to use this app any longer. Trying to help anyone considering this app from future frustration and inability to use it as advertised. Absolutely ridiculous.
Always want money
Can’t even open the app to see how I would like it without it wanting my credit card info to sign up for a free trial. How are you supposed to give it a try? Another app just wanting money.
Fallen off
The app has gotten worse, doesn’t suggest workouts as well as it used to, keeps recommending the same workouts to me if I decide to switch the exercise but stay on the same muscle group. Used to really enjoy this but am starting to look at other options. Also, the custom workouts option is incomplete, for example if you create a sled workout you can’t choose distance, only reps.
Other apps are better
This app is charging 17$ a month, I thought this was a fantastic deal for what it brings only to find out that the app doesn’t even have a good interface. It tries to do things for you but fails horribly. I recommend hevy as its cheaper has a free option which is better then this paid one.
Forced consumption instead of support
Wanted a free app. Downloaded and was required to give my email and get a subscription.
Misleading
Have to pay for it instantly the second you make your account they won’t let you do anything till you pay for a subscription!
Scam
You can’t cancel after you sign up this is really bad
Limited ability
Most of my workout routine is “traditional” weight lifting. I like to throw in occasional kettle bell training only days. Fitbod does not have that option. It doesn’t seem like it would be difficult to add in different types of workouts.

Money
Custom workouts always freeze
Almost everytime I chose to make a custom workout the app freezes after the first exercise selection and just spins (the wheel of death). I can close and open the app over and over again and it still won’t work. Drives me insane. Using an iPhone 17 Pro, app updated, etc. Please fix this.
Could be great
This app is very impressive. It does a lovely job of using data to suggest exercises based on the equipment you own or use, and the user interface is good. It loses major points for how difficult they make it to take a break from a specific muscle group.
Poor AI adoption
Need to better read past workout signals and curate a better one. Older algorithms needs AI upgrades to better understand patterns. I have to take pictures of my workout and consult ChatGPT for curating a better workout
Twas Great
I’ve been using Fitbod since 2018 and has been a fantastic journey in my fitness! I’ve yielded great results but as of lately the app has not been logging correctly. I have it synced with my Apple Watch and my two hour + workouts only log 430 calories burned and the sync has been buggy. I hope this issue is resolved soon. It’s a bit of a let down to try and log your workouts and it not be accurate. 🫥
Form off on some videos
If you compare the form for some videos to several videos online it’s not the same.
Great at first and then it sucks
This app blows because of one thing, it doesn’t have all machines on it and it doesn’t actually measure strength. You goals aren’t all that customizable and I think I’ll be switch apps soon.
Not very user-friendly
I’m currently trying this app on a trial after seeing it on social media, and I’m not sure I’ll keep it. The interface feels clunky, with too much wasted blank space at the bottom instead of useful content. I’d much rather see a clear, continuous exercise animation than wasted black space between sets and log sets buttons.
The animations themselves are also disappointing, they’re AI and stop after five seconds. Having to manually replay them mid-workout, especially while holding weights, is frustrating and disrupts the flow. Overall, it’s not very user-friendly.
