Horrible Service
Keep getting harassing texts to pay my rent and it’s been paid. This company took money from my account but didn’t pay my rent with it. It shows it cleared my back days ago. No actual person to talk to and the phone number only tells you there’s no person! Bank confirmed flex also took money out the 2 previous months yet this month they for some reason decided not to use it to pay my rent! Chats have been started ignored and not addressed. there literally is kline reminding what so er. if you have money to kiss goodbye to some ai bot that won’t ever answer your questions this is the app for you.

Late fees charged! Late responses! No live person! All emails!
I uploaded all my information a few weeks before the 1st. Went in to make sure my payment processed nope. Reached out for assistance it’s an ai ivr system. Just tells you to call your bank. Called my bank they said flex pulled $0 charge nothing was pulled out. So now I’m forced to pay late fees and the 10 emails I have from their team is just saying the same thing the ivr system is saying. No Stars if I could. Be careful using this app.

Please fix. Tried to pay with flex funds, but not processing. Just shows card error even though card use isn’t needed.

App buggy
App crashes when you try to update address in app. Must use app to do anything. Chat uses AI and it isn’t useful. Must not be enough live agents because the chat just times out when it says it’s connecting you to one. Might be a great service but I guess I won’t know if I can’t use it 🤷🏾♂️
Don’t do it
They will drop you at the last minute and then make up adverse explaination on not reactivating your account. You can be late one time and you’re done. be careful they Will drop you
Customer Support Is Nonexistent
Things were going good when I first started using the app. Then I started having to pay month to month and things went down hill quickly. For the past 3 months my app has been saying “waiting to finalize this month’s rent” and it never finalizes. I’ve tried reaching out for support and the chatbot takes my information and no one ever calls. I’m being charged monthly for a service I’m unable to use due to problems being unresolved on flex’s end. I’m frustrated, and over it.

Nothing like having money in my account to pay and having issues at checkout. No live support so all I get is a chat bot and help docs that don’t understand the context. I have 2 different cards from brick and mortar banks that are being used for other transactions and that I’ve used on this platform for months but now there’s an issue anytime I try to make a payment it won’t accept it and just says something went wrong.

Funds stuck in the app
Flex keep saying that my payment method isn’t valid and that I need to update it. I’ve tried using 3 different cards at this point and all 3 have been declined. I then tried adding the full amounts rent into “flex funds” and flex allowed the money to be added, yet still declines my attempt to make the first rent payment despite the funds being present in flex funds. And the best part? I can’t get in touch with a LIVING PERSON to save my life. What a joke of an app! They must pay for the 5 star rating somehow.
Can’t keep up
Fails to notify you on time any changing costs, resulting in hundreds of dollars of late fees. That you become responsible for.😡

Would be better if yall extended the time window for people to pay by 9 PM EST for rent instead of 2 PM knowing most of us can’t leave work to do so. Have some consideration and common sense.

Highly Misleading
I downloaded this because my apartment was promoting it like crazy. 10 dollar processing fee each payment and I literally thought it was my portal. Immediately signed me up for a 1000 credit line and said if I cancelled I’m on the hook for payment
It’s ok
I don’t like that I have to pay over half of the rental amount up front then pay only $300 for the second payment. It should be split in half. Example: my rental amount is $1,575 the app should take $788 for the first amount then $788 for the second half. Instead I have to pay $1,288 for the first half this is including the apps extra fees and $300 the second half. I have other bills to pay as well so it makes me late paring my other bills because they’re not splitting the amount equally in half.
Not for everyone
$14.99 a month even if you don’t use them every month. Not for people with housing assistance. They check your credit to determine your flex amount; for example, bad credit might be a 70/30 flex (pay 70% of your rent on the 1st & 30% on the 15th). They charge you ANOTHER FEE ($6.99) to pay that remaining 30% too.. this app is dumb. Just buy a money order on the 15th for half your rent so you don’t have one lump sum.. OR just pay half your rent on the 15th and add a note stating (Rent for __ month) and the rest on the 1st.. this app is charging us for stuff we can do for FREE.

DO NOT DO IT!
They charge u more on your rent, they don’t split the amount down the middle, customer service is HORRIBLE, and they do not acknowledge rental perks like the 2 months free my complex offered and stretched it out over the duration of my lease. That perk brought my rent from around $1600 to $1480, but since I got into a bind and started using this app I’ve been paying $1700 a month!!! Don’t use this app once you start you can’t get out of it. Some people say Flex hadn’t even paid their rent after they’ve made their first payment. I’m done with them!! All these good reviews are a front.
