It’s rare that an update to an app makes it less functional but they’ve accomplished it. Other apps are now much more user friendly.

The sudden account requirement that wiped all my local trips was absurdly counterproductive and painful; lost years of trip history in the name of "ensuring you don't lose your data"... Awful, paradoxical design choice. I used to be able to add flights to any trip without having to extend the trip's dates, this is no longer the case, and it's annoying... I really wish I could just track flights without creating a trip to hold them. This was the gold standard flight tracker app for years in my opinion, and these days it feels higher friction and less friendly than it used to. Like, why do I need a "profile" for my flight tracking app? This isn't social media yall, it's unnecessary and serves no apparent purpose. Disgruntled but haven't yet found a great alternative.
Not as good as the old app..
So I’ve been using this app for at least 10 years. I work for a local limo service and we do airport trips so I track incoming flights. I even paid for the app (flight view Elite) I deleted the app on my phone because I was getting an error message little did I know when I went to download it again I got this current version. Not even sure where to begin, but my question is how can you take a perfectly good app and basically kill it? whatever this is just doesn’t cut it and honestly, I wouldn’t mind paying a monthly fee if it was actually functional. To the developers of this app, if you really want a clue about what users are saying, Look no further. bottom line this app is garbage very disappointed!
Love Hate
Love the app. Hate the ads. Paid for a year without ads, that lasted an hour. Ads are back. Find another app if you’re paying.
Downgraded to being useless
For years I was able to rely on the “Pro” version of the app for amazingly quick and accurate information updates to gates, departure and arrival times, etc. For many months, the app has been brain dead, not showing updates in a timely manner, showing NO maps at all, etc.
Will be switching to a competitor’s app and gladly paying them $299 lifetime price of a life subscription for an app that actually works.

What happened?
As a plane spotter, this used to be my favorite alternative when FR24 wasn’t updated or when I wanted to find information about a departure. Fast forward to now, it’s completely broken, and you’re more likely to get an error prompt than what you were searching for

This app is horrendous now. No altitude readings at all. I’m going elsewhere. Nothing but ads now too. Booooo
Why change?
The app used to be SO simple. I’ve been trying to enter 2 trips - it’s been a half hour - and I’m still having problems figuring out how to use the app!!!’n
Very sad
Well, after several updates, this app is still broken. It's sad because it used to be the very best app. For example, tonight a flight left Boston for Dublin at 4:57 PM but the app never recognized that it took off and it still says it's scheduled and that's why I am not getting notifications. I don't understand why these simple problems can't be fixed. They keep telling us it's gonna be fixed, but it never is.
Awful
I was a constant user of this app and loved it functionality - spot on. Flight info - fast and accurate. Now, I’m sitting in a gate 30 mins past my departure time. With FlightView giving no info. That’s just one example. Ads pop up, cover the entire screen and freeze. You can no longer forward your itinerary to import into the app. Plus, they gave no notice the app was changing and that years of travel info would be wiped out. This app is a text book case I. What not to do.

The flight status used to be displayed and updated on the Home Screen. Not anymore. Bring that function back.

I’ve used this app for years. It was robust and reliable. Then it stopped working so I updated to the new version. Ads have taken over and they don’t end. You have to quit the app to get back to your scheduled flights. It also no longer allows you to delete an unwanted flight. This is now the worst app ever. Thanks for nothing.

This app used to be great, but is now garbage. Here are the things you will fight:
When you create a trip it fills in a trip name using today’s date, which you have to delete character by character before you can name the trip. Dumb.
When you add a flight to a trip, it defaults to using today’s date as the flight date .. utterly ignoring the trip start/end dates. And it does the same for the return flights .. even though it would make the return flight leave BEFORE the outbound flight. More dumb.
It doesn’t have the sense to fill in the airline from the outbound trip for the return trip. More dumb.
You CANNOT edit a flight once entered. So if you get the date wrong it’s start over time. VERY DUMB.
You CANNOT lookup a flight and then decide to create trip from it .. you have to go create a trip and then look the flight up all over again.
There just isn’t any thought given to real world use..

They are crooks
I paid for no ads version for the year and I still have ads. I complained to them twice and twice they answered me that their team is looking into it. I asked for a refund and they didn’t refund me. Crooks. Don’t waste your money
Terrible! Went from A+ Grade to F
This was a favorite app I used for years. Now it’s worthless! No tracking notifications, almost impossible to enter flights/trips, and incessant ads that last forever! You ruined a wonderful thing! So dissatisfied!
Took a dive
This used to be a great app. Then one day they logged me out and then I had to create a mew account because I was not able to recover my password. The password recovery email was never sent. Now it just trash. It ports wrong data to the calendar and other times it just fails to do so.

This app used to be fantastic. I had paid for a plus version which I enjoyed for a while. Then they did some updates. I can’t even login to my account anymore. Support doesn’t respond. Pretty much have given up on it now.

Lost all my historical trips, and most importantly the new future trip I entered right before app the update.

This app used to be great but now, if you don’t pay for a subscription it is worthless. Ads play endlessly with no exit and you cannot return to the app.

Disappointed
I travel weekly and used the app to track some of my flights. I flew this week from DFW to IAD to BOS. The App did not provide accurate information. We were still at the gate, and the app showed in Air. Sometime the gate information are not correct. Today my daughter flew from PBI to ATL to BOS, the app is showing she is still in PBI but she was in fact about to land to ATL. I would not trust the reliability of this app for my travel.
Latest release - ruined app
Lost all history unless subscriber. I’m out. Subscriber apps are ridiculous. Would consider one time purchase. But subscriber service is money grab. Deleting.

The worst travel app
This app is terrible. Flight data is frequently wrong or late. The app also regularly loses your history. I was using this app when it first came out but now there are plenty of better options. Don’t waste your time on this one. You could miss your flight.

Redesign is a disaster
This used to be my favorite flight tracker, and I used it for years. But between the ridiculously long uninterruptible popover ads and the poor functionality and bugs in the redesigned version, I now find it virtually unusable. I’ve stuck with it for months, hoping for improvement, but there hasn’t been any. I’m deleting it, with sad memories of when it used to be very good.
New update stinks!
I updated the app and I reset my password both on the app and via browser and I too lost all my past flight info! I tried everything that I could think of and I tried what other users have suggested, and still no previous flight info! I’m gonna try other flight view apps
FlightView disabled lifetime subscriptions
About ten years ago, I purchased a lifetime to FlightView which enabled ad-free support forever. However, OAG replatformed the app with identical form and function to terminate the lifetime memberships. They made a bad business decision previously and are not honoring the lifetime subscription. This is dishonest and should not be allowed by Apple.
Can’t use like before
I have used this app for years. It has changed and not for the better. No longer able to add multiple flights to one trip like before. Very frustrating. Probably will not use this app anymore.
Not Consumer Friendly
I paid for the plus version and used it for years. Now I can’t even sign in to that app and have lost all my flight history. They want more $ to star over without my flight history but I’ll just start over with a completely different app.
Too many Ads and Notifications not working
After many years of using this app, it’s gone downhill in bad ways.. Ad popups every other window. Notifications do not seem to work.

I paid for the full version FlightView ELITE. Now they want more money from a subscription so they simply STOPPED maintaining and supporting ELITE.

Invalid support email address
When I try to restore my purchase it does not recognize that I bought it. When I try and contact their support via the email address that they provide, the email just bounces back. NEED HELP!
How hard is to get notifications ???
There are many issues with the update but the one that gets me the most is that there are actually no audible notifications when the app is tracking the flight and upon takeoff and landing.
Another but smaller pet peeve is the length of the flight is no longer on the information page.
Workaround- I use FlightView to list my flights in an orderly fashion then I enter the info into flighty (free) the day before in order to get accurate and reliable data.

Updated ads make app unusable
This used to be my go to for tracking flights. Recently the ads have become so frequent and they are unable to clear so I am forced to close the app and try again. Find something else as this app is now useless.
New update ruined good app
I travel half the month and this is my go to app in the latest update. The interface is cumbersome. You can’t delete individual flights. You have to delete a whole trip. The whole thing is not smooth seamless and wonderful as it used to be. A huge step backwards.
They changed the App and it’s terrible
This app was my favorite for years. They changed the app and now it’s not giving me the update information, map view frequently not available. Why ruin a good thing? I didn’t mind that much when they added pop ups but now the app is unusable. I tried tracking Southwest flight 695 today and it didn’t help. Boo!

Even though this app transferred over to subscription based service, the quality has not improved. Flights don’t save, yet alone update in a timely manner. No customer support. Really disappointed.
Used to be the perfect travel app
Used the plus version for years and really loved it. Now, I cannot do the basic things I used to, like forward trips to auto populate, get notifications, depend upon it updating, etc etc. all while being bombarded with ads. I think I paid something for ‘Plus’ that I no longer get and feel bamboozled.

Developer done and left us to swing in the wind. Amateur night at IAG. Bring back the pros…and the old FlightView which was awesome.

Bring back original
This was the best app for trips! Loved how it stored previous trips, got sound and notifications of upcoming flights, now past trips are gone and I’m not getting any notifications! Not sure what went wrong but the app is worthless now.
