You can’t get through a story completely. This app is garbage.

There are too many liberal articles being chosen for me, even though I haven’t shown any interest in progressive viewpoints.

Opening the app to try to get some news. Have to wade through slop and videos with audio and ads on full volume.

I downloaded this again for the first time in about 7 years. I really think this app has gotten worst with less content. I gave it one last shot

Used to be the best!
I did it! I deleted Flipboard, it was my primary news app for literally; their inability to keep up with uninterrupted articles and now adds every second or third flip it is no longer bearable. I’ve seen the decline, I’ve contacted them directly, I’ve tried and I’ve complained and now… I’m out.

Game ad getting in the way
There’s an ad that repeatedly comes up for an iPhone game that I can’t close out and flip past and which forces me to manually close the app and restart it. Very frustrating and annoying.
Ads are too easy to accidentally trigger
Flipbook was great until recently. It seems extremely easy now to trigger ads that open Safari and the App Store to download software. Ads also play music now as you flip past their pages. If this doesn’t change, will likely delete the app.
Update: The ads now autoplay music and there’s no way to disable sound in settings. This may force me to stop using the app.

No longer useable due to aggressive ads
You can no longer use Flipboaed due to their overly intrusive ads. You can't get past them. I've never seen anything like this. I've been a user of this app god years and the quality of the product has gone downhill.
App no longer allows you to screen out Tru*mp or political topics
Used to be a great app. You can no longer filter out politics or names from the app. Completely ruins the entire thing. Used the app for years to get away from those topics, and now they’ve caved to the Republicans and stoped those of us who want to vomit whenever we see some of those names when catching up with the news.
Apple News is the better route now. It still allows you to filter and choose your own topics like a grown-up.

What is up with the broke game ads!!!!
I really loved this app before but these broke game apps cause you to force close the app, you relaunch it and you get stuck in same thing.

Not updating my boards
I’ve been a loyal Flipboard customer for years and have relied on the various news on this app. It’s been 3 days since my boards have been updated. Close to deleting this app and finding a better news app.

Yet nobody even cares for a second at Flipboard to correct these glaring typographical errors.

Used to be the best, but the ads!!!
Been a long time user of Flipboard and it was the best app on my phone, by far but it has become unusable because of the ads. Doesn’t matter which news source or type of article you read, the ads take over most of the screen and make the reading anything almost impossible. Just deleted the app from my phone and moved to Apple News begrudgingly.

Overall I like the app but there are to many times where clicking on an article takes you to either a different article then you intended or takes you to an advertisement. Also to many instances of taking you to sites that just force you to click thru lists of advertisements to get to the intended story. Way too many ads

The auto playing Claude apps with loud audio are obnoxious. I’m not using Flipboard until they go away.
Aggressive Ads
I used this for years but it recently started forcing ads to full screen play while scrolling stories. Had to uninstall it.

Too Many Unreadable Articles
Too many articles that I click on require a subscription to read. So I waste my time clicking. I get to read a paragraph and then get a pop-up that offers to let me subscribe for only $14 or $50 per month. I’m sorry. I can’t afford to subscribe to a million websites because I want to read one or two of their articles. I’m using Flipboard less and less often for that very reason. Time to just cruise the web, I guess.

Crashes since 26.4 update
Since the iOS update the app is constantly crashing. It is completely useless until this is fixed

Too Many Pay to Read Articles.
Ads are perhaps necessary and annoying but fiscal extortion requiring one to pay to read is despicable. Paywalls are fine if expected but one should reasonably believe that this app would curate free articles, and not provide paid teasers. Put simply it is unacceptable.

Formerly my news app of choice, Do Not Download Now!!
I’ve been using Flipboard for over 10 years and up until recently it was my go to app. I’ve since moved on as they have decided to be advertising scum and each article is accompanied by a bunch of pop up ads. The app now tries to suggest apps to download from the App Store at least once per minute and so much of the content is locked behind paywalls and it randomly just adds topics I don’t care even a little bit about and I have to block and mute a bunch of trash. It’s a rare thing for an app to become this frustrating and terrible, but greed is definitely what this app is alllll about now. Don’t download this hot garbage!!!

The App is simply being swallowed by intrusive ads. Hit the little x and try to close them and, if it works, another ad pops up within seconds. It’s almost impossibly to read an entire article.

Ads on articles themselves, ads between articles, and now ads popping up while flipping for articles. Not to mention the overheating the app causes on phones because it’s doing hundreds of network requests a minute. App has no longer become useable.
Pop Up App Downloads are disgustingly annoying now
I used to love this app, but over the past few weeks, these pop up App downloads are absolutely awful. Every 4 “flips”, another app download pop up. Can’t read or flip through anything anymore without being interrupted.

Flipboard is infested with advertisements. The huge number of pop ups, ad overlays and running videos make using Flipboard a wretched experience. I know Flipboard is free to use and they have to make money, but Flipboard has shown no restraint or care or about usability in festooning their product with ads.

It’s impossible to read any of the articles without mass advertising interruptions etc. I give up!

Articles are all over the place. Political garbage in space and science. Nothing of relevance for days. It maybe time to move on.

I enjoy the timely reports but an over whelming number of them are too liberal biased. It’s becoming hard to trust this app. It even impacts the sports reporting.
