Can’t receive calls
They still have some work to do on this app. Making calls works fine, but unless you are in the app actively you can’t answer incoming calls. I tried all their debugging steps but nothing worked. It’s a shame because the price is good. If they fix the app I’d consider it again, but as it stands it’s not a replacement for a normal Canadian phone plan.

This app is the worst and deceit they lie that after you pay it’s free but they make you pay to even text a single this is a fraud app they won’t even send code or let you do anything don’t pay !!

I tried changing the region of the Apple Store and then purchase the world Fongo app which require a new account and can’t transfer my phone number too. I’m not sure why people are giving this app positive reviews . Nothing works with big hassle switching regions and wasting money.

They close your account for no reason. Even when you bought the app and paid for a subscription. How do you close someone’s account without a reason. This obviously theft

I paid for this and I am still inundated with adds. It’s like the app forgot I pad after a couple weeks or something.

Paid the fee but you can’t even log in on the iPhone gives “install latest version “ error like other users stated. Only works half on iPad but does not ring on iPad either ! Terrible for a paid app ! Terrible app development
App is not working
It says install new version of the app but i have already updated the app still the same.
Useless app
Everything was fine until I paid from my apple account. Next thing, it says unable to sign you in, please redownload the latest version. Even though I have another account and login that acc. Now I paid for this one as well and after 1 week, it says the same thing. Customer care says redownload which is not the solution. Terrible app. They take your money & no one to help you once you have a problem

This is a scam app, I have e registered on 3 different occasions and I haven’t even called or text anyone and I have been logged out the 3rd time with no plans to refund. They take your money and log you from the app without rendering any service.

Major issues in costumer service
I had really been enjoying the use of this app, occasionally messages would show in my notifications but then disappeared in the app which causes a little annoyance and miss communications. Now however, all the functions of messaging have just stopped. Incoming and outgoing calls work but now messages are able to be received or sent. All my requests for assistance throughout my experienced issues (both minor and major) have been ignored and or not addressed. The concept of this app is there, however, the support is lacking!!!
Not worth the cost
I had read reviews saying you could buy a lifetime ad free version but that’s not true, you have to purchase the app, and then you can choose a phone number, you can’t even text message without buying a text subscription plan, it’s all monthly plans to unlock the basic features of having an app like this, if I wanted to pay for these features I’d get a regular cellular plan. Maybe this app used to be good but it is not worth it any longer.. if it was a one time fee for lifetime text and calling in North America or at least a certain amount of minutes or texts per month or have me click a couple of ads or something to get and send texts then sure, but as it stands for a wifi based calling, you may as well just get google voice and forget about this.
Not all messages are shown
You can be sent 10 messages on this app and just one will be shown to you when you enter the app, fix that crap.
this app ruined my life
in 2020 they sent Emails to all people who’s using fongo asking i think for doing a payment or using their app daily i’ve been using my fongo phone number since 2017 all my social media and my emails even backup email was linked to that fongo number anyway i woke up to find out that Fongo canceled my account when went to my email i found their email after explaining everything to them they seems don’t care. i’ve spent lots of time on many research paper and hiding my other passwords in one of the cloud folders to explain what i’ve been through in two words “i can similarities to bankrupt bu digital rupt.

This app is all fraud, they let you subscribe and then they block you off, this is the second time they block me off the app without notice, return my money broke people, why would you ripped someone of his hard earned money when you know the number don’t work for long ?

I subscribed few days back. I'm not able to receive calls on the number provided by fongo. only outgoing is working. I have approached the customer care 4-5 days back and no body has replied anything till now.
Horrible experience
You have to keep running the app on the background in order to receive any incoming calls. Even after doing that, many a times the person who is trying to call cannot reach your number. During the calls, your voice breaks up and people cannot hear you properly. I have a good wifi and network connection, despite that I faced the above issues!
One of the worst paid apps
One of the worst paid apps. You can dial the number but your call hangs when it tries to connect and also when you try to end the call. The app also has a feature to listen to voicemail, which hangs the app, when you try to play the message.
It says add-free paid version but you still get to see ads, which is very frustrating.

Ridiculous
Displaying ads even after buying the app for $4.99 USD is ridiculous. I totally understand if the app is free, but it’s not.
Poor connection
I have a hard time getting connected. I have had other ip phones but I signed up for this service because I needed a number for my business card but unfortunately it has poor service.
Buggy, unreliable
I get half of the calls, for the other half i get delayed notifications and of course they go to voicemail. In addition the gui is buggy, for example the top left hamburger menu is not reacting to touch input on iphone 7S ios 11.2 most of the time. Have beta testers before releasing new versions please.

Just downloaded this app and paid the $5 and can't even get to the registration screen. It just keeps crashing. Please fix this and I will review the app again once I am able to use the functionality.

I deleted my app and re-downloaded; only to get the same notification. At first, I thought I am forgetting my Password and go ahead to change password successfully, but still can’t log in. What is going on Fongo? This is not cool!
Update: I sent a complaint email and got support. Apparently, my account was suspended cause I had recently called a particular number multiple times. Now I will be aware of that. Thankfully, my account has been reinstated. I’m glad Fongo has been responsive through this.

Renewal
Renewal doesn’t work have to constantly search for a contact number to call personally to renew subscriptions (ad-ons)Have done this numerous times with no fix. - Nothing happens when K select add -on
