I want my money back
It does not stop. I don’t need it to keep talking to me after a contraction when they’re 20 minutes apart, but I can’t stop it. I guess it would be okay for when you’re having contractions very close together at the end (and actually want it to speak to you) but otherwise it’s not really set up for your entire labor.
Huge UX issues
Invest in a UI/UX designer. Impossible to known when it’s on or off.
Used to work great
I loved this app. But then it stopped letting me add my own custom tracks. I reached out to customer support and they emailed me back and forth to get more information about my phone/os system. But then never resolved or followed up with the issue. App is basically unusable for me now.

Love the book. Hate the app.
I loved her book and when I heard they put out an app I was so excited for it but I’m 37 weeks and have been using the app with my Braxton Hicks contractions for practice and if I get any kind of notification during a surge, the app stops counting. Then at random times when my phone isn’t even in my hand the surge timer will start counting. Additionally, at times the meditation will continue even after I have closed the app, not just changed apps but literally closed it. Way too many glitches. Concept is great and if it would work the way it was intended it would be the best app on the market but sadly it is way too glitchy and unreliable. Had to uninstall to get it to stop playing randomly.
No scripts?
Book and website talk about scripts available
In the app for partner to read but there are non available

Everything woke turns to…
Great app until the positive birthing company started going woke. *edited my review from 5 to 1 star after having my second child.* The app works fine but the verbiage used has changed. Kept needing to skip through some things that were very “new agey”.
Freya App deletes surges
I just downloaded the app snd enjoyed the guided meditation. But it didn’t track my second or third surge. When I clicked on “get help”, the Freya app reset and deleted all of my surges!
Does not download
I bought it but it doesn’t download! It just keeps saying error :(
Nice App…But Beware, Out of the Blue Data Loss
My wife and I downloaded this app during her labor and we really enjoyed the design, calming voice, breathing coach and just overall peaceful meditative nature of tracking contractions. The issue we had and I expressed to their support is that without any warning, our “surges” (recorded contractions) stopped recording properly, recording as “0” and then eventually just vanished as if we hadn’t recorded anything. We also were unable to get the app to sync across iPad and Apple Watch, which still I don’t understand how it works without having to create an account/track through HealthKit?
According to their support, “To ensure privacy and minimise friction, we do not require users to create an account to use Freya. This means your data is stored only on your device. Unfortunately, if you clear a surge, there's no way for us to retrieve it.”
So if this happens to you, you are out of luck. I’m very surprised that there isn’t an on device log file generated anywhere. Over a week later we never heard back from them so I just requested a refund.
Seemed like a great app, but as we couldn’t trust it to do the one intended function of tracking contractions, it’s impossible to recommend.

To the iOS developers
On the Surge counter view please work out the ux of the table views swipe to delete
I would suggest leveraging using a classic table view cells to get that visual swipe to delete action. Instead of what’s on there now.
Perhaps add a delete all date button as well to clear the stores surges to avoid having to delete each one by one

Could be so much better
User interface could be so much better. It’s quite confusing to use.
They could also put relaxation script for different practical tools that’s in the pb course and more mp3s that people could use as relaxation music.
