Can’t fill in the Blank
Everytime I’ve tried to secure tickets, I cannot get a blank to allow me to fill in a required notation.
Example:
A question; What country of origin? I click on the blank or space and I can’t write anything. My keyboard won’t pop up, there is no drop-down list.
I start over… it only gets worse. About my fifth time trying, it wouldn’t let me pick from the sex options for the person. Then their last name. I’ve had it where the app won’t have the flight times appear correctly.
I end up calling Frontier and waiting endlessly for customer service.
This is the worst app I’ve ever worked with.
Ps. I’ve tried this app since 2020 (now, 2026) and it’s the same thing.

Date Selection
On the calendar it states “now accepting dates until 11/19/26.” However, all the dates are crossed out. Fix it please so I can select dates up until 11/19/26.
Worst airline
Frontier by far gave me the worst experience in communication in delays and especially in rebooking. Calling also doesn’t help because the operator seem like they don’t know what they are doing. Frontier has cost me so much money and time, with no compensation

Terrible Customer Service
I was charged an extra fee for over weight even when they didn’t weight my registered bag. I called customer service and they denied a refund because the lady at the front desk didn’t leave any notes on the system about it. Also, I called to verify any required documentation for a traveling dog, other than fees. Once at the airport I had to call my vet to send me the documentation because I was required to have shots records after I had called customer service the day before and they assured I didn’t need it. It was a hassle! Not to mention the unprofessional service offered by the front desk staff and flight attends as well. First and last time I travel with Frontier.

It’s so ridiculous that consumers are now required to download apps just to check in now. Just let us use the desktop version if anything if having us line up is a problem. Not everyone has unlimited space on their phones to be downloading unlimited apps.

My first time flying Frontier. Waiting over 1:30 minutes and still waiting for checked baggage after you land is not acceptable. Fly an airline that values your time.
The most deceitful underhanded airline in the industry
Frontier Airlines has so many hidden fees. It is literally disgusting! Their requirements for being at the airport are far more strict than any other airline In addition, unlike other airlines who do not charge for a carry-on bag, this airline does.. But they don’t bother to tell you about it until you check in. If you were uninformed, and you don’t know this. It could cost you more than $100 Just for a carry-on.
In addition, they’ll allow you to choose your seat for a fee, but even if you don’t want to choose your seat, they pressure you into thinking it’s necessary so that you’ll pay a higher rate. Then, when you’re finally ready to check in. If you don’t do it through their mobile app, there will be a charge for the agent just to hand you your ticket at the counter. The only reason I downloaded this app is so that I wouldn’t have to pay the ticket agent $25.00 to pass me a piece of paper.

Removed the settings to change flight
Honestly whoever is working on the website and app is a noob and not professional. The option to change flights on the app has been removed and when you attempt to change flights on the website it gives dumb errors like the frontier acct doesn’t exist without you modifying anything. They need to hire a better website designer and actually have them work I understand that frontier is basic but dang it looks like a joke.

After I downloaded the upgrade I could no longer purchase a checked bag online. So had to stand in a long line at the counter. Wish I hadn’t done the upgrade.

Can’t check in hyphenated names
The app won’t let those with hyphens check in without saying “not a passenger on this flight”. this is the only airline app to not let you use a confirmation code and last name to check in. Southwest, Delta, American Airlines, United, Every, Other, Airline Let’s You check in on someone else’s account, but on this one, you can’t even check in on your own. And they took away website check in for some reason.
Can NEVER access my flights on this app!
When I book a flight I can never access it from within the app. When I go to Manage My Trips it says I have no upcoming trips. When I search for my trips using my last name and confirmation number, it finds the trips but will not add them to my account after I click Add to My Account. I have to call Frontier Airlines to have them add my TSAPre Check number manually and add the trips to my account… but even then they do not appear in the app! I was told to log out of the app, force close it, start it again, log back in… and my trips STILL do not show up. I was told to repeat the process continually until it does show up… but it never does. The ONLY way to see my trips is to skip the app entirely, use a web browser in incognito mode (to avoid the web page from opening the app) and access my trips by searching for them manually. Truly ridiculous!! Seriously, what is the point of this app?

The app added the current date to my account as my birthdate so now it thinks I’m an infant and won’t let me book tickets. I’ve tried updating it on the app, the website, and via customer service but none helped me.

‼️🚨BEWARE🚨 they have no customer service, scamming airline. They make you rebook new flights after canceling or rebooking, supposedly with a refund in credits coming to your acount a week after, which never comes.

Keep getting session expired when trying to check into a flight. Can’t enter tsa precheck number. Would be nice if this app worked so that I don’t miss my flight. Can’t even use a website to check in, they force you to install this pos app

“Glitch” Charged me $400
Due to a delayed flight I had a credit that was given to me to book a new flight a few days later. When I used the code, I was charged an additional $400. When contacting Frontier, they said that it was a glitch with the app, that they were not responsible for it, and refused to refund my money or accept the code. The app even says that I still have a credit, but I will never use their terrible service again. They scammed me out of $400 when I had already bought a round ticket flight that was delayed. I had even bought the delayed/cancelled flight insurance, which states that I would get my money back, which was a lie. Awful customer service. Save yourself the heartache, and use another airline that won’t steal your money and leave you stranded.

No free coffee, soda, or snacks on a 4.5 hour flight. $145 carry on bag fee each way. No WiFi so can’t use the app on board. No in flight entertainment screens. Seats don’t recline. Unruly passengers not address by flight attendants. Flight arrived late.

My experience with Frontier was disappointing from start to finish. The customer service at check-in and during boarding felt passive-aggressive and unprofessional. Instead of helping passengers, staff seemed more interested in publicly shaming people over bag sizes and carry-on policies.
Multiple times, employees used the microphone to call out passengers for having the “wrong” bags in a tone that felt condescending rather than informative. During boarding, staff would interrogate passengers about what type of seat they purchased, as if it somehow justified how they were being treated. The entire process felt hostile and unnecessarily confrontational.
I understand that airlines have policies, but there is a respectful way to enforce them. Frontier’s staff made customers feel like an inconvenience rather than paying passengers. Traveling is stressful enough without being embarrassed or talked down to in front of a crowd.
There are plenty of airlines that manage to enforce rules while still treating people with dignity. Based on this experience, I will not be flying Frontier again and would not recommend it to others.

Trash Service
I’ve been screwed over by Frontier 4 times in a row, which cost me $2K+ to remedy, but I regretfully gave them one last try. Their app does not allow me to move past the FlyFrontier#/KTN page to check into my flight because adding KTN number triggers a prompt requiring me to add my DOB - which there is nowhere to do so. At this point, I have to forfeit the precheck service I paid for to check in on this airline and their website says check in is only available through the app.
Frontier is a scam
They will do anything to squeeze money out of you. If you end up having to get a carryon you don’t pay for both ways but only one way. Depending on how much the flight is you could be spending more just to have a carryon than the actual flight itself. Often the flight ends up being more expensive than flights with nice airlines. Avoid this airline at all costs

Extremely glitchy on IOS 26
The mobile app is straight up terrible. Can’t even book a flight in the app (glitched on the seat selection and wouldn’t move on), so I thought ok - I’ll book it on the website through Safari, that way I manage the booking in the mobile app. Flights are booked, few weeks later I decide to add a checked bag - the app fails to process the payment 3 times, so once again had to do it via Safari. Time to check in - well, the app gives an error after the Hazardous Materials page and just refuses to check me in. I’m appalled at how dysfunctional the app is.
