If yall really want to make this game fun, make it so a player 5+ levels higher than you can’t attack you. Completely derails your progress and there is no way to continue to advance because they are so much higher than you. Completely makes it a pay to succeed game to keep up with costs. As soon as you start gaining momentum, someone ranked significantly higher than you attacks and puts you back to ground level. No way to join the game now. DO NOT DOWNLOAD

Sometimes it is downright unplayable on mobile. In my current server there is a harassment and cheating situation that has gone unaddressed by WB games. Not worth your time.

PAY TO PLAY
The game is 100% pay to play. You will not enjoy the game at all if you aren’t willing to pay weekly for packs. Everything in game is built to benefit those who pay ALOT of money. All they care about is making money.

Don’t bother downloading. This is the WORST team of customer service employees in history. They are rude, give lip service, and will do nothing about their game glitching even when it results in costing you money. Disgusting.

This game uses the standard real time strategy mechanics of meticulously building up power through careful decision making, only to have it erased in seconds by whole kingdoms magically teleporting next to you dumping orders of magnitude more troops into your base and destroying your ability to play. They can then magically disappear to repeat the process on another player, with sufficient rewards in game events to continue the behavior indefinitely. Not a conquest, but a poorly designed mess. Teleporting intentionally should result in a 24hour cool down before launching attacks. Terrible design, and a bad partnership for a fun franchise.
7 days is not permanent
So I like doing multiple things at once in games like these. Multiple research queues going, multiple build queues. I tapped “add builder” - oh hey! Add permanent! Only a few bucks? Done.
Go in and do the same for Maester(your research queues). Same thing. Add permanent. Except when I look it’s NOT permanent! 7 days max! Paid for what I thought was a permanent addition and got fleeced. Uninstalled and not going back. Permanent does NOT mean for 7 days only.

Boring
It starts out as a ton of fun, but once I got about seven days in, I got incredibly bored and there was nothing to do there’s also a massive paywall in game
Worst Maintenance of any Large game
This game is treated like a child that WB boston forgot to roll the windows down for. The devs of this game have no idea what’s actually important in a game - performance. At bare minimum, I don’t want the game I play to break every weekend. I don’t want to see th same issues over, and over for years. I don’t want to receive notifications stating that the design team messed up the rewards for a 3rd time. And yet, these kind of things don’t just happen in this game, they are the norm. This game is amazing when it works as intended, which is less than 10% of the time. Don’t download, save your money.
Support team never wants to help
This game is fun, but lots of glitches and bugs makes the experience not ideal for a competitive game. When you put in a ticket asking for help, their team never does anything and will only “forward your request to the development team.”

A literal scam
Been playing for over 5 years and if there’s anything I’ve realized, is that this game progressively gets worse and the support team DOES NOT compensate for your losses that occur due to the increasing glitches. I’ve complained about the load out switch not actually switching for years, which loses me battles. And reloading the app to switch sets every time with this play style where every second counts is unacceptable. As of this year, they have some events that naturally you would get points and claim rewards should you participate. The catch? You have to spend money to ACCEPT the rewards. This results in a lot of pop ups and clutters the game experience, making it extremely aggravating and a money grab. They take your money, waste it when your resources are wasted due to glitches they won’t fix, and just say sorry we’ll look into it. They’re nice and all, but nothing ever gets done. The game is completely ruined for me and I’m stupid for not dropping it sooner.
Horrible game
It’s basically pay to win you have to spend like 20 bucks to grow but just barely especially if you are at a higher keep level. The game rarely notifies you if your being attacked or if your shields down even if you have to notifications on. All in all a trash game design.

Can’t Progress After Launch
Finally decided to try the game out because I love GoT, but it just didn’t work. It told me I could make a house banner as soon as the game launched but I couldn’t make one or skip the option to make one. I was just stuck and could never play so I guess I never will.

I have been playing for over a year now. There is no way to progress in the game without paying money. I have spent hundreds of dollars possibly thousands. I had an error where I did research in an event and didn’t receive my points. I reported it and was told it was a display issue and that I received my points. Wrong and a lie. You telling me you can’t reimburse me anything after all this time. It’s not like it would cost WB anything and to more or less being called a liar is b.s. Don’t get involved with this game. They will not help you when you need it.

Upon downloading the game it loads to where it asks if I want to create my house banner then no matter if I hit yes or skip the Same screen loads again asking the same question and won’t allow me to proceed past it.
Not worth the effort
High level players poach on the lower level players, the storehouse that is supposed to protect some of your goods doesn’t work at all, you store up goods only to come back to all of your supplies pillaged. Played for over a week and have been cleaned out of all my supplies every day this week. I made alliances but they have been no help. Just overall frustrating and not enjoyable.

I had hopes.
Look I really hope the development team looks at this. The gameplay is sloppy. You can’t move things around what you placed them. It’s just overall really difficult to understand how the game supposed to be played. It just needs a good update and I think this game would take off. It has all the opportunity in the world to be a decent looking game but the development team really needs to do an overhaul and boom. It’s a great game. Until that happens, it’s sloppy looks cheaply made really hard to follow.

GOTC is a terrible game
I recommend staying as far away as possible. This game is a scam. They will screw you over sooner than later. I would give zero stars if that was an option. If you encounter an issue in game, the customer service is all AI and is not helpful at all. They’ll take your money and leave you dealing with the glitchy game. They have not been able to improve the gameplay at all since the beginning which I guess is kind of an accomplishment on its on considering how much money they make. Quite impressive actually how bad a game can be with such deep pockets.

I did one of their gold opportunities where I spent $5 to do a service and earn 206,250 gold pieces. It’s been over the time frame and they never paid me. Hopefully they rectify this issue but we will see. So far I havent been paid

Once fun, but no longer
This game was awesome when it came out 8 years ago. But as they moved on from beta it became a spenders game. Without limits on power you can be the largest player in the kingdom taking out the smallest player. I do enjoy the team driven nature of the game. It allows you to build relationships when you find the right group of people. But unless there is a cap on power the game will always be considered unfair to the small spender or free player. Many games similar do not allow you to attack or even scout a player that is 5 levels above or below. So if your keep is level 20, then you cannot touch anything not within 5 levels above or below. Lowest being 15 and max at 25. If this were implemented it would give the game a sense of fairness. You could break it into troop tiers where you can only attack those at your tier and one above and one below. But we all know WB doesn’t care about the small spender or the free player. This is why I am officially quitting the game. Not because of the actual game play. But because of WB.
Pay to win like most mobile stay away
Unless you’re willing to sink thousands into this game you will never be a “winner”. Energy mechanic, purchasable resources, gacha game mechanics. Every mobile game pay more money to win system is at play. Stay away. Updating: There have been more changes but nothing done to help anyone not spending hundreds to thousands of dollars. The longer you play the more you will be lumped into groupings with people who spend massive amounts that you can’t hope to fight. The game design ensures you can’t survive even in a large alliance either as you will be mobbed and destroyed by other pay to win people. New things that come out are for the wallets, everyone else can only look at them a little bit and be fodder for those who buy accounts and spend big money. Once people spend enough they are basically untouchable and to do anything though because of the costs they have to keep spending. Never ending money sink and gacha mechanics. And if you don’t want to be stomped by the pay to win? Expect to have to put money in because shields cost more gold than you can get playing freely, and once you’re stomped you can’t reasonably participate in anything.

Devs vs community
The devs will full on rob you. Like you will spend money on this game, and not get what you spent for. Devs don’t care. So many glitches, you wonder how WB is still around. Oh wait…
The power level scaling has got to change
The game has turned into a just pure money pit needs to move players to a different kingdom. When levels get too high. There’s no room to grow.

The game itself is well laid out. The pvp is ridiculous why are the strongest in the game allowed to attack the weakest. Should only allow attacks in the same levels or few levels. Discourages many players and they end up quitting
