Way Too Expensive for What It Is
I saw some YouTube videos that made me want to try playing this in my spare time, but I quickly realized I would have to pay to play. I hate subscriptions and would much rather make a one-time purchase, but whatever, I figured I would just pay for the lowest tier and just play with only a few features unlocked. Except I quickly realized that unless you pay for one of the more expensive tiers, you’re barely able to do anything at all and have to spend tons of time waiting to play, which was not explained at all when I paid for it. Waste of money.
ETA: when I canceled my subscription, this was the message I received: “You'll miss out on these Pro Basic benefits:

What a wild, blatant lie. There is absolutely no unlimited play at this level.

Absolutely the dumbest thing ever
So I had the game and I un download it to restart the levels when I re downloaded the game they did NOT have the levels instead they had a daily level which is mid but ALMOST EVERYTHING you need to “pro” which is like 5$ per month and I wish I could rate this lower

It’s not fun when you have to pay to play with friends, it makes no sense.
New version is 99% pay to play
No more free play modes at all. You get 1 round and then have to wait 8 hours. No go. Another app ruined. I’ll write my own with AI in 10 minutes and play that instead, good luck devs.

Greedy developers lost their players
Everything is locked behind a subscription paywall, not even a one time payment, and now all you can do for free is play one game per day. I will be uninstalling.

Saw some dude playing this game on YouTube and thought I’d give it a try, immediately hit with a paywall and was only able to play the “ daily challenge “. I only got 5 guesses before I was locked out of playing. Crazy, immediately deleted my account and uninstalled.

I never leave a review but the paywall aspect of this app is completely terrible, it would have been a great app but it’s pretty much unplayable unless you pay almost a 40 dollar subscription, for a game mind you :/

so, apparently they finally undid the god awful update of forcing you to cough up money to play the game whatsoever, so now you can play it again without paying. think again. they somehow managed to make it so when you try to play the game a blank dark blue screen pops up with no buttons and it’s not a loading screen, it just sits there. and nothing happens. how hard is it to update a simple mobile game without completely destroying the UI

Was excited to try the mobile version of this game. The leveling system looks cool. However, every new game I try to start just drops me in complete blackness - nothing, nada. The map is black and empty too. I tried to find a way to report the issue in-game but the flag button did nothing. Too bad. I'm using an iPhone 12 mini.

A great game completely ruined.
The core gameplay itself was, and still is outstanding. I used to have so much fun investigating the entire world in street view attempting to pinpoint my location and score as high as possible. Then, after a few years, I decided I would play for the first time in years. To my surprise I was met with an overcomplicated smorgasbord of marketing garbage that has seemingly no intelligent design. There was so much unnecessary useless trash added that doesn’t add anything of value. I know for a fact most players don’t care about all this stuff, they just want to play the original game and have fun. It sort of reminded me of a low quality Chinese made app manufactured for the sole purpose of extracting as much money as possible from its users with all of its gimmicks and tricks. They should have maintained to their original simplistic and straightforward design. A wise man once said “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” and this game definitely was not broken. Beyond this I was shocked to find out that it was no longer free to play, I understand that developers need to make a profit, but I was fully expecting to hop on and play free of charge like I used to. As a general rule, one should never charge for something that was once free. That being said, I understand their predicament with the increase cost of using the Google Maps API and I understand. However, they opted for a subscription based system that costs $6.99 per month or $47.90 per year… I have never played a single game, no matter how good, worth $47.90 per year. I would have been fine with a one time purchase, but this is obvious greed likely driven by investors who have no idea what they are doing and probably have never even played this game. I will not be spending any money on this game, and I will probably never play it again. It’s a shame that such a wonderful game has been completely ruined.
