Une arnaque
Au moindre litige ils ne vous répondent pas et chargent votre CB d’un montant arbitraire. J’ai fais le plein sur le dernier véhicule loué (94€) pour 40l en diesel sur un utilitaire (utilisé à moitié du plein d’origine). La jauge ne montait pas et quand je leur ai indiqué ils ne m’ont plus recontacté et facturé +de 80€ supplémentaires pour le plein. J’ai le reçu du pompiste mais ça ne suffit pas. Dernière fois que j’utiliserai Getaround. Au final j’en ai eu pour 320€ pour 2j. Entre les pleins et la location ça fait cher pour 300km utilisés. Je suis écœuré

I downloaded this and when I tried to put in my location, it kept saying it’s not available in the country of USA and only gave me addresses in Spain to find a car. I find that quite odd because it doesn’t say that it’s only available in Spain when you go to the App Store but whatever completely useless for me here in America, I guess and anybody else who is in America guess it’s just useless.

A year or 2 ago, it was available in the U.S. Now that I just download it, No Cars are available in the US. Even in Texas. It’s only available in France and other countries

No option to verify profile
I’d love to use this app, but I’m required to verify my profile, and there’s literally nowhere to do this. When I go to the website I’m told I need to verify via the app, so I’m stuck.

If I could, I’d give them zero stars. I rented from them and got a citation for a tinted glass even though I explained to the officer it was a rental. I then got a citation fee from Getaround which included a processing fee. Fine, no problem. The problem is they didn’t pay the citation and I wound up getting a suspended license that I didn’t find out about until a full year later due to me applying for a job that required my license. After bringing this to Getaround’s attention, they gave me the runaround back and forth asking for this document and that document. After providing all of said documents, they shut down business operations in the US. The customer service told me to email the customer service in the EU and I have twice and haven’t received a response. They are crooks and I’m out of $233 from all of the fees and countless hours of time spent with Lyndon (CS rep). Do NOT let them steal from you too!

Absolute nightmare to verify my account. I uploaded my mortgage statement with my name on it, yet, they need a “document stating my address.” In any case, what if I lived with my parents or girlfriend and had nothing in my name? I can’t rent a car? Thankfully there are plenty of other rental companies, so I’ll never waste my time with this trainwreck of a service again. Joke of a company.

Account verification is a joke
I signed up, rented a car, and then followed tot he account verification. They keep asking for documents to prove where I live, I then upload the exact document only to have it rejected again. I upload the next document - rejected. The next one - rejected. No explanation as to why it’s rejected whatsoever. This is just a waste of my time. Tell me what’s wrong instead of letting me guess what you don’t like!!
You Wont Get Away With Stealing My Car.
Get Around literally stole my car when they shut down, they totaled out my car and sold it at auction and pocketed MY CHECK. Fraudulent company will burn Europe customers as well one day.

I downloaded this app. Thinking it would be an amazing back up to my broken personal vehicle issue & well it’s stated it’s not available in my country USA, Minneapolis, MN if it’s not available in my country WHY is it the 3rd app listed for rental vehicles. I’d be happy to change my review if there is anything that could be fixed if not then i believe your company shouldn’t be advertising as a top app. For my area.
Frustrating

Horrible App
I would avoid this app at all costs because of the extremely high hassle factor. They require an absurd amount of documentation to rent a car in another country, including a copy of your utility bill and an abstract of your driver’s record. Something in their system also makes your photos blurry so you have to constantly resubmit them.
Headaches
While I’ll admit I used this service a ton I’ve had more headaches n bad experiences than I can count but kept coming back out of pure necessity that was the only thing good about it being able to grab a car if I really needed it but now they’re gone altogether and I was heavily relying on that to work for uber so not only have I had tons of problems with these guys now I’m out of a job since the just up and abandoned Los Angeles smh I really despise these guys to the fullest now..

This is a fraudulent company. It takes a minute to verify this claim. Before renting a car, reach out to customer service and ask anything you like. Good luck.

I found the service very useful and while I understand the liquidity issue, no heads up to your user base at all when you remove your entire operations from a massive country? What is it with tech companies and their complete lack of care for their customer base? the entitlement is outrageous. You really deserve to fail.

Had a car not work. Was not refunded. Submitted a credit card chargeback and they re-billed me a month later.
Poor customer service
I have been trying for 5 days to get added to the rental as a driver. My wife rented the car through the app. The prompt says they will answer in 2 hrs. I provided a video of my face, drives license and passport. Be aware before you rent. Poor app and terrible customer service!

I’ve had enough
Back again to write a negative review as this company has been holding $100 for approx a month. They are now closed and the payments are no longer pending. I am afraid they will never return the money.

Took many deposits and never returned after rental was over
This company is forcing you to pay high deposit and ignoring the messages you send to them.
The app is constantly changing its options and fees recently. The app forces you to fill out your insurance information before renting a car, on top of that, they also force you to pay an unreasonable amount of security deposit from 350 to 2,000. It does not make sense to have security deposits up to $2,000 when you have provided insurance information. During the time I tried to reach out to them about the insurance and security, they changed the insurance, security deposit and the young driver fees again. It’s been a couple weeks and I still have not received any replies from them.

Why do you guys rate somebody insurance score? Some people don’t even have a car to have insurance on it. So I think that should change especially if the people are paying for coverage through the app for using these people cars and it’s also saying it’s not available in the United States.

3 cars $150 each with a $40 uber fee each time. So really almost $600 spent! Then 1 month later getaround ceases operations in the US. Now im expected to go back to the same location and have the device removes. So another $120 in uber fees. Im mad, i want my money back.

Expected Better!
All appears to be kind of lackluster in functionality. Unable to find cars in my area and when I tried to widen the search as the app suggested, it gave no options to do so. Seems like the functions are kind of hidden within the app. I expected much better. Removing this and trying a competitor.
