Bad
This game so trash I every play with my life do not made this again bad
This games design is bad
The character won’t keep his arm straight to make the big momentum jumps and there’s no UI to let you know how hard it needs to be swung or anything, on an iphone it’s near impossible and complete waste of money.
Worst game on phone
The game is dosent even work on the phone the input of the hammer is too uncontrollable
I need a refund

Bad
I payed 5 dollars to play a game that makes me want to have a brain aneurysm. I spend an hour climbing up then fall all the way back down and wasted precious time in my life.

Poor Controls Ruin Interesting Game
Is the game hard? Yes. Is the game frustrating? At times. Is that what this is about? No.
The problem here is that the port from mouse controls to touchscreen was done poorly. I’ve played this at multiple different sensitivity settings and it doesn’t change the fact that similar inputs against similar surfaces will routinely have wildly different outcomes.
Making matters worse is that the sensitivity setting seems to also impact input speed, so sections that demand a certain minimum distance be covered are all but impossible from a controls standpoint.
This is all frustrating as the gameplay loop itself is very, very enjoyable. If there was some way to fix the input to make it more predictable*, this would be a great game.
(As an aside, unless Foddy programmed some sort of randomness into the game, the unpredictability of QWOP is a result of the interaction of complex systems. Pressing any of the keys is going to result in the same predictable motion every time, it’s just that those four inputs plus the physics criteria are creating novel outputs. That is fundamentally different from doing the same exact input and getting two different outputs.)

Unplayable on new iOS.
A game that is only hard because the controls are bad is not a hard game, it’s just a bad game.
You will end up closing this app trying to use the controls, which are terrible.

Maybe I’ll give you a better review when you get your physics right.
