Great app, bug
When you click on a notification, you cannot interact with the content in the email. E.g. Zillow link and Calendar invites. You cannot click do on the house from Zillow link, and you cannot accept the calendar invite. You need to swipe away from the email and go back into it.
It is colorful
I got a new iPad. Downloaded Gmail. It won’t come up. I can’t even get to the logon prompt. Maybe it’s time to try another product.
Not reacting to touch
I cannot click on links. The app is not reactive to touch. It will not open up documents, attachments or links. All other apps on my phone work but this one.

Get rid of ai
Locked me out of my account on my computer because of ai, when I tried to log in it told me my account was already in use but when I try and open the app it locks me out and won’t let me sign in

I don’t know if Google & Apple are having issues but I’ve had nothing but problems since I received my new Apple phone in December. I can’t log into Gmail without a hassle every time I try to log into.
Not a good app
This thing technically receives emails but it will not notify you, it will not recognize settings being changed. It will, however, help you miss deadlines and block important messages.
If you want an app that is not good, this one may perfect be for you.

Crashes
The app crashes all the time and this last update won’t even load any of the content. Just a frozen black screen. What is this app even for at this point?
Can not sign back in to gmail accounts even with the right password
It will not let me sign back into my gmail account and I know my password because it’s saved on my passwords and I have it written down and it still doesn’t work saying it the wrong one but I use the same password for everything so there’s no chance I have it wrong I never changed it

Horrible email
It’s horrible. Hasn’t worked for over a month and I pay for it. I’ve tried all the trouble shooting techniques, contacting the community and I still have no resolution. I’ve tried asking around and finding out how to contact google customer support and there’s absolutely nobody to assist me. And it’s my WORK email.

Yeah I created a new email for important stuff for work and it turn around and signed me out the very next day and it told me I need to verify that it’s me and it said I need to use my phone number but when I tried to use my phone number it said I used it to many times which I didn’t even use it??? And I tried using another phone number and it said the same thing so I lost my work stuff because of this stupid verify stuff.

701+ megabytes (update: 731.1 MEGABYTES, previously 716.7 MEGABYTES - the bloating won’t stop)… for an email app! The people getting paid to bloat and deploy this garbage are terribly negligent.
Not good
Google needs to work on their apps, all of them. I find all them to be extremely unhelpful… it takes me an hour to find the answer to the most simple things and it’s always like that.
Storage issue
I have to pay for storage and top of that. I can’t redeem some gift cards that’s been sent to my email because my email is not big storage.
Forces AI Usage
Will not sort messages into promotions and social anymore unless you let them scan every message with AI. Everything with Google uses AI now. Like the tools they had before just disappeared.

Search just doesn’t work anymore
Not sure if the devs tried to shoehorn in some useless AI features and broke something or what, but the search just doesn’t work at all anymore. “No results” after searching a common first name. Awesome work.
