Leider keine 2FA mit US Nummer möglich
Benutze GMX seit 20 Jahren und bin inzwischen von DE in die USA gezogen. Leider kann ich keine 2FA ohne eine deutsche, schweizer oder österreichische Telefonnummer einrichten, die ich schon lange nicht mehr besitze. Das heisst langfristig muss ich mich von GMX leider verabschieden, da es zum Sicherheitsrisiko wird. Ich wünschte ich bräuchte keine Telefonnummer, sondern nur eine Authentifizierungs App. :-(

Something Occurred
I am currently very unhappy with the GMX app. Some strange thing recently occurred: I click on the app and my email account opens and appears briefly, then a box pops up asking for the email password or do I want to remove this email account. WTH?
So I enter the password, then it takes me to a scrolling newsfeed - but all in German, so everything looks like it’s yelling at me. No English whatsoever. And it’s a newsfeed, not my email account.

Painfully slow loading time
Update: a year later (7-3-25): Guys, this is absolutely ridiculous. How can it POSSIBLY be this slow to load an inbox? I have never seen such a pathetic performance in any other email client EVER. You honestly, truly should be embarrassed; this is PATHETIC. I have been sitting here for over a minute just waiting for it to LOAD, something every other email client does within SECONDS! This is a staggering level of incompetence.

I have never seen a loading time so slow for an inbox. You swipe down, and it stutters, loads a few emails, then a few more after an interminably long pause, then a few more, etc, etc. Even CompuServe Dialup laughs at this app’s pathetic loading speed; the only thing missing is the squawking fax noise while connecting to the internet.

**!Warning: You cannot turn off their cookies, data sharing or other massive DATA RAIDING practices. Most settings to ‘disable’ don’t work if you actually try to disable, and the ones that do work will get reset back to ‘on’ if turned off…and if you go through the list, they share your data with HUNDREDS UPON HUNDREDS…and probably THOUSANDS…of sketchy third parties of every sort, with untold numbers of them including highly suspect foreign entities.
App doesn’t work anymore
iPhone app doesn’t work anymore. Trying to login in get message “something went wrong “ and nothing happens. Deleted and reinstalled a couple times to no avail. Please fix!
Cannot access
I’ve been a user for years. Generally no problems. Since update, I cannot access my email on T-mobile. It just spins or gives me a rey again error. I managed to get on while on work wifi but as soon as I was back on cellular, it quit working. I use this email as account verification things and now I’m screwed. I’ve contacted the help multiple times with screenshots and they are useless. CAN’T ACCESS!!!

Emails Don’t Load Half the Time
Trying to reset a password currently and the email that was sent just isn’t appearing in GMX for some reason. The content just doesn’t appear at all. The preview however shows there’s clearly content in the email. This also isn’t the first time this has happened. If I can’t read simple emails - what is the point of having an email with GMX? These are basic functions. Very frustrating.
