It will pull you in at first and then make it progressively harder to win against cpus and then designed to have to watch ads to continue. Clearly pay to win model and had to delete.

i get having ads in your game but it won’t even let you play before showing them from the very start. not a good way to keep players.

Scam
Registered my account and got a new phone (had well over 30 hrs on this game). Lost all my clubs and tickets when I logged back in. Best part - kept my levels and handicap so the Ai is still cracked while I am playing with beginner clubs. Just a scam to get you to spend money. Physics are also now inconsistent since update; if you’re winning a tournament or match balls won’t play the same and green/fairway friction is adjusted to get a bad lie or roll off the green. Horrible. DO NOT DOWNLOAD. Horrible. Devs need to make high tier clubs accessible without 50-70hrs. Too bad used to be a ton of fun.
Unskippable ads
Was fun until the annoying “playable” ads that never go away were introduced. I can’t stand those like just throw on an ad and a timer not one that sits there forever.

I’m trying to play the game but the ads WGT golf ad comes on and it won’t let me exit out of it so I’m stuck on that screen and when I swipe out and get back in I try to load into another game and same ad pops up and won’t let me exit and this just happens on repeat 😭 this golf dreams game looks really fun but I can’t even play because stupid WGT ad is sabotaging

Chipping is a joke, putting is kind of funny, everything else is okay, but there is no way I’m paying anything for a defective game. $10 is a rip off, I hope this company goes down under.
Just another pay to win game
Don’t waste your time - impossible to advance without paying your way up. I even paid the member thing and the CPU competition became impossible to beat. I would give zero starts if I can

The fact that you can pay $10 and STILL have to watch ads for mulligans and chest openings is absolutely crazy. Wish i new that ads weren’t actually completely removed before dropping the money. Pretty sleezy

Does not let you turn off cellular for ads (plays an ad for their premium) and asks for a ridiculous $9 for removal of ads. Game will not let you resume playing courses you started but did not finish if they required tickets to start unless you watch an ad connected to wifi.

Would be such a great game if they didn't shove ads in your face repeatedly in the middle of a match. Instant uninstall. I hate this practice

Ads are horrific but the thing I don’t think most people understand is the scoreboard. If you pay attention to the score cards this game is awful. You can be up 2 strokes in a tournament and get par and still somehow lose to a computer player that was down 4 strokes magically. They boost scores for the computer and apparently can’t do simple math. It was fun at first but this game is awful for players who want to play for awhile. Shame. Has potential but way too many kinks that will annoy the hell out of you. Do not recommend for players who want to play for awhile. Also the green speeds vs fairway speeds are horrendous. Your ball will roll 100 yards in a fairway but won’t go farther than 10 yards on a green. Very faulty and fake game. Makes you think it’s good at first but in reality it’s pretty bad. Haven’t updated it in awhile so I think they’ve just given up on it and so should you. 1/10.
Game Erased Progress!!
I put countless hours into this game because it was fun and I honestly enjoy it. I paid for no ads and premium access. I downloaded it on my iPad to play it on a larger screen and my progress transferred, but when I went back to my phone I lost all progress except my clubs. I lost my 5 stars, which I had on every course, and my handicap. I worked hard for my progress. I tried getting it back and never could even when I signed back in and tried deleting the app and redownloading it. Now on both my iPad and phone my progress is lost.

The short game sucks
The chipping is terrible there is no in the middle it is either fly past the green or get no where and the putting is atrocious
Fun game but lose all on new phone
I love the game, but recently switching to new phone and I cannot sign in anymore on the new phone. Tried requesting password update but never get a reset password email. So have to drop the game unfortunately.
Pin positions
Game would be 5 stars but the pin positions on some of the holes are almost impossible to get in the hole you can leave it an inch past the hole and it will role down a hill
Not worth 10 bucks
Fun game, but not being able to play all of it because I haven’t purchased the 10 dollar ad free version sucks. I’d pay a few dollars for it but it’s just not fun enough for 10. The ad experience in this game is really terrible too, too many of them and it’s hard to get out of them. Wish this game had turned out better.

Fun game but adds ruin it it’s every couple mins and you can’t even play the game if the adds won’t load it will just say you can’t play since they can’t give you an add also I pairs for add removal and it didn’t work but charged me.

The tutorial tells you how to adjust direction and how to swing by pulling back and swiping forward... and that’s it.
There is zero explanation for the deep mechanics: how to apply spin, how to gauge an approach shot, or why driving, approaching, chipping, and putting feel like four completely different games.
Approach shots (and Par 3 drives) are by far the most difficult and important part of the game because they require extreme precision on the downswing. If your club’s max distance is close to the pin, you’re forced to hunt for a "sweet spot" of 50%-70% swing speed, which is incredibly hard to calibrate by feel alone.
There might be a better way to pull off these shots-like using a longer club with less striking force-but the developer (who seems to be on hiatus) explains absolutely none of it. You only get one approach shot per hole, but it is the most critical moment in the game, and the lack of guidance makes it a frustrating guessing game.

Changed tickets
Disappointing when I purchased $20 worth of tickets and then they changed what tickets can be used for. They can no longer be used for HIO challenges, etc. Now I have a zillion useless tickets and they want me to buy coins now. Never again.

The game is fun. But so many ads really just takes away from it. If there was an option to pay to take away the ads I’d probably do it, cause seeing one after every few holes sucks.
Annoying Progression
The field for any given single player round scale's against your handicap immediately. That means if you're any good at golf games, this game's chosen method of progression becomes extremely annoying. Whoever is saying this game isn't p2w is lying lol this game absolutely has pay to win mechanics. You can spend money to bypass lots of required tournaments and to double all your chests. It's not as explicit as just buying better equipment but it's still p2w tacked onto an annoying grind.
Gameplay wise, it's swipe style swing and would easily be the best single player golf game if earning better clubs wasn't extremely annoying and largely bypassed with money. It's not really a good or fun grind for better clubs or even for more courses when you do put in the time. Since the field scales, you pretty quickly have to shoot -5 or -6 every single round, even in the low course unlocks.
To earn more clubs, you must first earn tickets by winning tournaments. Then, you buy an entry into a tournament that has randomized loot box prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Only by placing in those spots do you get relevant tiered chest rewards. It's common to place 3rd or sometimes 4th while shooting -5 in these tournaments, so it's pretty common to spend 30-40 minutes of time grinding the same 5 holes over and over to just not make any progress. Fans of FromSoftware games will feel right at home lol.
Tournaments with chests for prizes can just be bought into with real money, which speeds up progression 4-5x
